An official new trailer has arrived for Richard Bates Jr.'s feature debut 'Excision' thanks to Anchor Bay. The twisted horror based on Bates' 2008 short of the same name stars the likes of '90210' and 'The Haunting of Molly Hartley' hottie AnnaLynne McCord (below) and ex-porn star turned actress Traci Lords. Along with the trailer we've featured a select few stills from the well praised debut including one that some online prudes may consider Nsfw. Ariel Winter, Roger Bart, Jeremy Sumpter, John Waters, Malcolm McDowell ('A Clockwork Orange'), Marlee Matlin, Matthew Gray Gubler and Ray Wise ('Dead End') all co-star. Check out the new trailer and stills below. »

I’m not quite sure what to make of Excision, but judging from the Red Band trailer below it’ll be quite explicit. Newcomer Richard Bates Jr has a dual role as Director & Writer and looks to have injected quite a bit of angst and dream like imagery into this. If anything it boasts an interestingly diverse cast – including AnnaLynne McCord (looking intensely grimy), Traci Lords, Malcolm McDowell, Ray Wise and even John Waters! No release date has been set but Anchor Bay has really been on the ball lately with acquiring indie horrors and promptly releasing them, safe to say this will be out later this year. Excision is definitely on our radar, what say you readers?

Here's some bloody, sleazy goodness to see you through the weekend. High school horror humour hybrid Excision played at Sundance earlier in the year, and now there's a trailer online for the rest of us. It showcases, shall we say, an "emotional journey" for Nip/Tuck and 90210 starlet AnnaLynne McCord.Cut to Nine Inch Nails' Closer, this trailer provides a nice transition from wholesome-seeming teen drama to crazed sex and violence. McCord plays Pauline, alienated from her small-town suburban surroundings, battling her controlling mother, obsessed with flesh and desperate to lose her virginity. She also has a leaning towards being a surgeon. That can't end well. The real news here is the cast though, a culty dream that sees McCord supported by Malcolm McDowell, Traci Lords, John Waters (as a priest!) and Ray Wise.Excision is the feature debut of writer-director Richard Bates Jr, and is an expansion of one of his short films. »

Ah, coming of age movies. The hormones, the acne, the sexual awakening, and... the necrophilia? That's what's going on for AnnaLynne McCord in "Excision," which got a seriously polarized reception at Sundance earlier this year. In "Excision," which also features cult deities John Waters and Traci Lords, the alienated teen Pauline (McCord) approaches adulthood and discovers a lusty taste for flesh. And now a trailer drops just in time for Mother's Day! It should come as no surprise that the trailer (which looks kind of awesome) is way, way past Nsfw. The film, which has no official release date, will be distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment. Update: The sales company Archstone asked that it be removed as it wasn't a cleared trailer. The official one should be ready in 2-3 weeks, and Indiewire will bring you as soon as it's available. »

I’m not going to say a whole lot about this trailer other than warn you that it is very Nsfw and it’s bloody fantastic. Excision is a coming of age story of a social outcast played by AnnaLynne McCord. The trailer is darkly funny and extremely over the top. Imagine the film May “cranked up to 11.” I absolutely love the look of this film and the colorful cast along with it. Traci Lords, John Waters, Malcolm McDowell, and Roger Bart co-star in the film that will be released by Anchor Bay later this year. It might be a little early to say that this is one of my favorite trailers of the year. Regardless of how the film turns out, this trailer rocks. Literally, it rocks due to Nine Inch Nails playing in the background as well. Also, the poster for the film can be found below which »

AnnaLynne McCord - who you probably know for her turns in 90210 and Nip/Tuck - drops the "glam" and shares some screen time with Traci Lords in Excision, a horror flick which played to Sundance Film Festival audiences earlier this year.
We've got the trailer for you and, honestly, I'm not sure what we're looking at, but the preview works, touting an offbeat cast and a track from Nine Inch Nails.

Directed by Andrew Stanton
Written by, based on the novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Featuring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, Dominic West
John Carter is surprisingly good. Shockingly good.
It’s a big-budget, effects-heavy sci-fi adventure movie so I naturally expected some kind of embarrassing, Michael-Bay-James-Cameron type of bullshit complete with one-liners and nonsensical plots and lots of shit shoved onto the screen, but what I got was a well-executed and thoughtful action-adventure movie that stays relatively faithful, in important ways, to the 1912 adventure novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

"John Carter" & "Princess of Mars"
Much has been made of John Carter and his long journey to the big screen, but did you know that he made a stop by the direct-to-video bin on his way there? That's right. The first real "John Carter" movie came out in 2009, starring Antonio Sabato Jr. as Carter and porn star Traci Lords as Dejah Thoris. Adored by young women for his clean-cut image, this male porn star has been named as the likely lead actor in Bret Easton Ellis's forthcoming film. But can an adult entertainer ever make a successful transition to Hollywood?
Earlier this week, Bret Easton Ellis announced his intention to cast a male porn star as the lead in The Canyons, a new film noir to be directed by Paul Schrader, the screenwriter of Taxi Driver and director of American Gigolo.
Ellis had long been an admirer of James Deen, who is striking because of his unusual appeal to young women – not generally key consumers of porn. When the two men met in January, they bonded over being unlikely poster boys: "He ordered a salad and we chatted amiably about the unearned feminist hysteria we both received at certain points in our careers," Ellis tweeted.
Deen, 26, was recently featured on ABC's »
