Doomsday getting ready for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

1 hour ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

He was featured in the supposedly fake script for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (read our review and breakdown here), but this rumour hasn’t surfaced from that script, but rather the sources for Bleeding Cool who claim that Doomsday designs have been spotted.

In DC Comics lore, Doomsday is the character that killed Superman in the 1992 in the Doomsday! series which is now more commonly known as Death of Superman. In the fake script leaked online, they re-enact the Death of Superman storyline which leads the reveal of a Superman statue, not unlike the one that is being built on set.

However, the website does go to lengths to point out: “Now, of course, much can change in the production process. This may be used purely for flashback purposes on the screen, looking at the life (and death) of Superman. It may be purely for promotional efforts to accompany the film. »

Warner Bros. Not Bringing 'Batman v Superman' to Comic-Con 2014?

8 July 2014 5:26 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Earlier today, Warner Bros. announced its full Comic-Con 2014 line-up which includes upcoming blockbusters The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, Mad Max: Fury Road, Jupiter Ascending and even an entire screening of Into the Storm. While that sounds like a decent enough presentation, many fans were disappointed to see that there was no mention of Warner Bros.' biggest upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on the schedule. Nor were any future DC Comics movies teased in the tiniest way. But does that mean fans won't see anything from Warner Bros.' upcoming DC line-up at this year's Comic-Con?

That's highly doubtful!

All we have to do is look back to what happened last year, and realize that when it comes to DC Comics, Warner Bros. and the Con, the studio likes to play it close to the vest, saving any hint of an announcement for their actual presentation in Hall H. »

Kevin Smith to address rumours about him writing a fake Batman v Superman script

8 July 2014 2:12 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Last week, a report emerged suggesting that all of the “scoops” we’ve heard about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice these past few weeks have in fact been sourced from a fake script, which Kevin Smith has allegedly penned as a diversionary tactic for Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder.

The title page from the script that has been doing the rounds claims that David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio are the authors, and the screenplay itself is packed with fan service and spelling errors, which has drawn its authenticity into question. And now Kevin Smith has taken to Twitter to announce that he’ll comment on the speculation tomorrow:

Riddle me this, riddle me that! Did I write a diversionary script for the Bat? Let me tell you a story… Tomorrow morning at 11am Pst.

Did Kevin Smith write the “fake” Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice script leaked online?

5 July 2014 10:08 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It seems like a never-ending war for “scoops” and speculation between Star Wars: Episode VII and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Earlier this week rumours of plot details and multi-villain appearances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were reported by Latino Review, based on a script that was leaked. Since those reports, it has been claimed that the script was a fake and leaked on purpose to throw “scoop” sites off the real scent of what the movie is about.

Well, now Movieweb are claiming that their sources have told them that the leaked script was written by Clerks director Kevin Smith.

Here’s what the report says:

“Up until last year I worked for as a Pa for a Warner Bros. exec until I was promoted to marketing. It was here I and several others where approached to work, directly and indirectly, for Susanne Knoll and sometimes Deborah Snyder. »

May as Well Stop Paying Attention to 'Batman v. Superman' Rumors

5 July 2014 10:01 AM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

Last week a rumor started floating around about several new villains added to Zack Snyder's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but now it sounds like everything you hear about the film moving forward may be false. Word is Warner Bros. hired Kevin Smith, whose been revealing plenty of little nuggets of information concerning WB's future with DC Comics, to write a fake script for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel and leak it to movie news blogs such as Latino Review and Badass Digest. While this isn't confirmed, it doesn't sound in the least bit unlikely, as MovieWeb received an email with the following info: Late last year both producer Charles Roven and Zack Snyder approached Kevin Smith with a early treatment for the film and It was Kevin Smith who came up with the idea to write an entire screenplay based on it but with several huge »

We just received an interesting tip from an anonymous source deep within the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice production. This comes just moments after we posted a story about the introduction of three new, lesser-known heroes in the movie. Badass Digest has gotten their hands on a pdf that claims to be the legitimate shooting script, and in it, there are a number of new secondary characters and locations. This came hot on the heels of Latino Review claiming four new villains were going to appear alongside Lex Luthor. Well, guess what? If we're to believe the email we just got our hands on, not only is the script fake...It was written by Kevin Smith!

'Batman v Superman' May Introduce 3 Lesser Known DC Comics Heroes

3 July 2014 5:20 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Earlier today, it was reported that four more villains are going to be showing up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside Lex Luthor. Now a new rumor is circulating that a trio of lesser-known heroes may also be helping out in some capacity.

Badass Digest has gotten their hands on a pdf file that started circulating a few days ago, which claims to be the actual working screenplay for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And it is from here that Latino Review is believed to have gotten their information regarding the four new villains, which include Victor Zsazs, Moran Edge, David Cain and Amanda Waller.

Badass Digest has its doubts that the script in question is real, as it contains spelling and punctuation errors, and it caters to the fans with a tone that is not inline with Man of Steel.
