New Star Wars Trailer! Avengers: Age of Ultron review! – The Flickering Myth Movie Show #3

1 hour ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

“Chewie, we’re back for Episode 3 of the Flickering Myth Movie Show.”

In the May edition of The Flickering Myth Movie Show, we go trailer crazy, disecting and discussing the latest teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and having an alternative look at the cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We’re also looking at the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Who is in the new line-up? How many more gems does Thanos need for his funky gauntlet? What can we now expect leading into Captain America: Civil War?

And if that wasn’t enough Marvel fun, our very own Luke Owen sits down with Daredevil star Charlie Cox to chat about the Avengers, who he’d like the Man Without Fear to team up with and what can we expect from the just-announced Season 2.

Seen only briefly in the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is Batman's Batwing doing its own brand of destruction, but tonight El Mayimbe offers up a more detailed look at the stealth fighter Batman uses to dole out his own brand of vigilante justice as seen in the Instagram post below. I get the impression people weren't really all that happy with the appearance of "The Bat" in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises and I'm curious, do you like what Zack Snyder has put together here a little betterc

Better Look at Ben Affleck as Batman Without the Superman Logo

30 April 2015 6:56 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

We've already seen a couple good glimpses of Ben Affleck suited up as Batman thanks to that black and white photo of him standing next to the new Batmobile that debuted last year. The teaser trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice also featured Affleck in Batman's metal suit as he prepares to fight Superman in the rain, and the poster gave us a headshot, albeit with Batman's face obscured by a shredded Superman logo. But now we finally have a good look at Affleck in the cape and cowl in the form of the photo used for that aforementioned poster, but without the Superman logo. And there's one in color too. Photos removed at the request of Warner Bros. Sorry folks, had to pull them! Zack Snyder's sequel Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the DC Comics Universe will bring back Henry Cavill as Superman and introduce Ben Affleck as Batman. »

2015 Summer Movie Preview: 20 Most Anticipated Movies

29 April 2015 10:00 AM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

The May 1 release of Avengers: Age of Ultron marks the "official" start of the 2015 Summer Movie Season and with that in mind, it's only appropriate to offer up a look forward at what's ahead over the next four months. What is ahead over the next four monthsc Well, a lot of movies that cost a lot of money with a few smaller features mixed in for good measure, and as much as some of us may lament the fact studios have become so franchise focused, it's hard not to admit a desire to see some of these bigger features. As a means of whittling down the flock of films arriving over the next several months I've chosen to take a look at my 20 most anticipated, which does mean there are bound to be some titles I probably ought to mention, but didn't make the list for a variety of reasons. »

Will the Joker be in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Warning: Potential Spoilers Below!

Following the rumours that Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman will feature in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, some new rumours have surfaced about the current filming in Toronto and how it affects Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to Latino-Review (who have been very spotty as of late), Affleck is in Toronto to film an extra scene with Jared Leto’s Joker which will be a flashback sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The site claims that the scene they will be shooting sees The Joker use a crowbar to beat Jason Todd/Robin to death, which is why he is in prison during Suicide Squad.

This ties into previous rumours that Jason Todd will already be dead by the time Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice roles around (along with Jim Gordon), as well as other speculation that this version of »

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Is Not A Man Of Steel Sequel, Says Henry Cavill

22 April 2015 7:15 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

At Las Vegas’ CinemaCon this week, a whole bunch of high-profile releases were being promoted, including Warner Bros.’ upcoming The Man From U.N.C.L.E. On hand to field questions about the upcoming blockbuster was star Henry Cavill, who was of course grilled on all things Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

While he couldn’t reveal much, and understandably so, MTV was able to get him to explain whether we should view the film as a sequel to Man of Steel or not. In the past, that question has been a bit debatable, though in recent months, it’s become clear that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is not a direct sequel to Zack Snyder’s 2013 film, which is exactly what Cavill said:

“I’ve only seen a little bit of Adr stuff, but that’s it, and that wasn’t even in color.  I’m hoping to see it [the whole movie] some time this year, »

Henry Cavill says Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is not a sequel to Man of Steel

22 April 2015 12:39 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

There has been a lot of backlash from fans of the Last Son of Krypton that The Dark Knight is hijacking his sequel in order to make room for the build to the Justice League. However, Henry Cavill has spoken out against this idea, and says that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is not a sequel to Man of Steel.

“I’ve only seen a little bit of Adr stuff, but that’s it, and that wasn’t even in colour,” he told MTV News. “I’m hoping to see it [the whole movie] some time this year, for a friends and family screening or something. But I really know nothing about what the finished product looks like. I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman versus Superman, so it’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character, and expanding upon this universe, which was kicked off by Man of Steel. »
