New ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Spot Introduces Super Twins Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch

28 March 2015 7:16 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

As if the return of Marvel’s Agents Of Shield wasn’t enough for us, those kind people at Marvel Studios have also ramped up the excitement for upcoming Avengers: Age Of Ultron with some new clips and interviews.

Giving an introduction to two of the latest additions to Marvel’s cinematic universe, this minute-long TV spot focuses on troubled twins Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), or Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as they’re better known.

Showcasing the pairs’ impressive talents and highlighting their tragic backstory, the featurette doesn’t give too much away (despite hinting at possible narrative points) but serves as a solid introduction to two of Marvel’s longest serving characters.

As you’ll no doubt know by now, Avengers: Age Of Ultron follows the rise of evil machine Ultron (voiced by James Spader), his threat to humanity and the efforts of the titular »

Robert Downey Jr. talks Avengers: Age of Ultron and Tony Stark’s relationship with Steve Rogers

27 March 2015 4:00 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

With Avengers: Age of Ultron less than a month away from its UK release, we should expect to hear plenty of comments from the cast of the hotly-anticipated Marvel sequel as its arrival edges ever closer. Times of India has been speaking to Robert Downey Jr. about the film, during with he offered up a few words on Tony Stark’s character leading into the sequel.

“With the first film, The Avengers, Tony was becoming a team player and with Iron Man 3, it was him transcending his dependency on the tech that’s keeping him alive. So I thought, ‘Ok, now what?’ But there’s all this unfinished business. There’s the matter of a certain wormhole that opened over New York and the imminent threat that still implies, so Tony has turned his attentions more toward a bit of a post-Reagan-era, Star-Wars-type notion and he likes to call it Ultron. »

We’ve seen glimpses of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) in action in the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailers, but Marvel UK just unveiled a brand new featurette called “Super Siblings” that gives us a far more in-depth look at the characters, especially Scarlet Witch. As someone who isn’t too familiar with the source material, I never really knew how powerful she was, but based on what we see in this promo video, she’s going to have an especially devastating effect on the Avengers. Check out the Avengers: Age of Ultron featurette below. The film opens in 3D on May 1st and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Stellan Skarsgard, Samuel L. Agents of Shield, Ep. 2.14, “Love in the Time of Hydra”: An Edward James Olmos Appears!

25 March 2015 3:19 PM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Agents of Shield, Season 2, Episode 14: “Love in the Time of Hydra”

Written by Brent Fletcher

Directed by Jesse Bochco

Airs Tuesdays at 9pm (Et) on ABC

“Love in the Time of Hydra” is an episode that is over quickly and leaves one wanting more, in the best way. More Ward/Agent 33 Pulp Fiction tributes, more Fitz calling out Simmons, and especially more Edward James Olmos. More Edward James Olmos is always welcome.

The pacing in “Love in the Time of Hydra” is brisk, despite the episode being set-up heavy. Big chunks of exposition are much more palatable when delivered by Edward James Olmos, who plays Robert Gonzales, the leader of Other Shield. Olmos is the perfect choice to lead Coulson’s opposition. He is steely but soft-spoken, weary but wise, and strong. He doesn’t want to go after Coulson, but he believes it is absolutely necessary for the greater good. »

1. Hulk got a welcomed upgrade to his wardrobe with the addition of stretchy pants, which he wears underneath his clothes. 2. Thanks to Tony Stark’s engineering skills, Hawkeye received an upgrade to his weaponry. He now has many new arrow tips that serve different purposes. Some of these are explained in the movie and others the audience will just get the joy of seeing deployed on screen. Father-Daughter Duo Recreates 'Jurassic Park' With Lego, Awesomeness Ensues (Video)

24 March 2015 9:00 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

As "The Lego Movie" proved, those little plastic bricks are very versatile, something a father-daughter duo put on display with an awesome, adorable video that recreates scenes from "Jurassic Park" using only the toy.

The clip is visually stunning, remaining quite faithful to small moments from the film (the rippling water glass signaling the T-rex is coming, the brachiosaurus sneezing in Lex's face, the animated Mr. DNA video) and big set pieces alike (the climactic showdown at the visitors center between the T-rex and the velociraptors), all while maintaining an air of humor and charm (Samuel L. Jackson's famous quip "Hold onto your butts" becomes "Hold onto your bricks"). The minifigs (a.k.a. Lego people) are especially true to the movie's characters, most noticeably Ian Malcolm (played by Jeff Goldblum in the 1993 flick), who comes complete with a pompadour and black sunglasses.

In a short clip at the end of the video, »

'Avengers: Infinity War' Will Be Directed by the Russo Brothers

23 March 2015 4:31 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Earlier today, an unconfirmed report claimed that Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo had finally signed a deal with Marvel to direct their upcoming two-part epic Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. Now, many trade sources are confirming that this is, in fact, very true. The news has not yet been confirmed by Disney nor Marel Studios themselves just yet, but a proper PR is expected soon, at least before the end of the week.

This news has actually been rumored for quite some time, and was all but confirmed when Emails leaked during the Sony hack last year. It has been reported numerous times over the past few months. And Joss Whedon has hinted that he is far too tired after Avengers: Age of Ultron to take on a two-part Avengers movie. It isn't known exactly »

Emails that leaked during the Sony hack last year revealed that Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are coming on board to direct both Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. That report was never confirmed by Marvel Studios, but just one month later, Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon said he does not want to make this two-part adventure, which will close out Phase Three. Today, we have a new report from Badass Digest which claims that both Anthony Russo and Joe Russo have finalized their deals to direct Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.

The two-part sequel does not have any writers on board at this time, but the site also claims that Marvel is in talks with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to pen the screenplay. They are the writers behind Captain America: The First Avenger, »
