A week and a half ago we had an unusually long shooting day on the show I’m currently producing, Jane by Design. The crew call time was at 7 a.m. and we wrapped at 10:46 p.m. — fourteen hours and 45 minutes after subtracting our one-hour lunch break. And some had an even longer day: Our actors, including guest star Teri Hatcher, showed up for hair and makeup at 5 am, which meant that hairstylists and makeup artists, as well as someone from the transportation department and the set production assistant, also showed up to meet them and were there until wrap, giving them a total of sixteen hours and 45 minutes. Many of you who are less familiar with the culture of filmmaking may find these hours to be pretty crazy, but those of us who regularly work on sets know there was nothing out of the ordinary about »

Many American stars, such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz and Teri Hatcher, have utilized the UK courts to protect their reputations by taking advantage of Britain’s libel laws, which are more stringent than the First Amendment protection offered to American publishers. The apparent similarity in the laws on either side of the Atlantic, and of course the fact that the U.S. legal system was originally founded on British common law principles, may make it surprising that Americans have felt the need to cross the Atlantic Ocean to avail themselves of a »

Teri Hatcher distanced herself from her ‘Desperate Housewives’ castmates, even as the series finale aired on Sunday night, the Huffington Post is reporting. Her fellow stars, including Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams, said goodbye to their successful show after eight seasons, but Hatcher neglected to promote the final season with them. When the other four actresses were doing the final press for ‘Desperate Housewives,’ Hatcher didn’t show up. Since the beginning of the show, it has been reported that tension arose between Hatcher and Longoria; Hatcher began the series as one of the biggest stars, only to see her fame eclipsed by her co-star. Sunday night saw the final episode of "Desperate Housewives," and although Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams all said a fond farewell to Wisteria Lane, co-star Teri Hatcher just didn't have it in her.
“Teri excluded herself from the rest of the cast from day one,” said one of Longoria's friends. “It's so sad that four ladies decided to say goodbye to what has been an amazing, life-changing experience on a high note, while Teri hasn't. Doing the last press they will ever do for the show, the ladies stood united and were shocked when Teri simply didn't show up.”
Bad blood has apparently been circulating among the cast ever since the beginning. Hatcher began the show as one of the "biggest stars," only to see Longoria's fame increase as the series continued. But the ladies aren't letting Hatcher's behavior get to them.

The women of Wisteria Lane said their final goodbyes on Sunday night, as the curtain fell on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" after eight seasons.
One of the closing scenes saw original "Housewife" Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) taking one final spin around the neighborhood, as the ghosts of the street's deceased residents watch over her - including her longtime love, Mike Delfino (James Denton).
So, what did James - whose character was shot to death earlier this season -- think of the series' final episode?
"It's hard to tie up all of those loose ends, but I think they ...

Los Angeles, California (x17online) - ABC's hit show Desperate Housewives aired their series finale on Sunday, bringing back many familiar faces for the farewell except former castmate Nicollette Sheridan. During the final scene, Susan Delfino (Teri Hatcher) experienced memories of her deceased neighbors as she one last drive down Wisteria Lane but Sheridan's character was left out of the memorable montage. While Sheridan was a key star on the hit ABC soap, her absence wasn't a surprise as the actress filed a $20 million dollar lawsuit against the network and creator Marc Cherry for sexual assault and wrongful termination in 2010. Her battery charged against Cherry was dismissed while the trial didn't reach a verdict in March. A retrial scheduled for September 10, 2012. »

What did you think of the way 'Desperate Housewives' ended? HollywoodLife.com readers -- and myself -- were hoping for more. After spending eight years with the women of Wisteria Lane, Desperate Housewives fans figured they'd be reaching for the tissues during the show's May 13 series finale. But instead of getting the warm, satisfying ending they'd hoped for, viewers watched in disappointment as four seemingly life-long friends -- Susan (Teri Hatcher), Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Bree (Marcia Cross) -- parted ways, never to see each other again. These women have weathered countless disasters together, both natural (hello, tornado!) and man-made (hello, all of season eight!), but they couldn't manage the occasional Skype chat? I understand that it's easy to lose touch with your friends, especially if you're scattered across the country and raising your own families, but I at least expected to see Lynette and »

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen the two-hour Desperate Housewives series finale and intend to, stop reading now. If you haven’t seen it but want to know how it ended, continue. We break it down below.
Bree (Marcia Cross): She was on trial for allegedly killing Gaby’s (Eva Longoria) abusive stepfather Alejandro, which Carlos (Antonio Chavira) had actually done. Renee (Vanessa Williams) went to see her fiancé Ben (Charles Mesure) when he got thrown in jail for contempt before their wedding because he refused to answer questions on the stand about an incriminating phone conversation with Bree. »

New York, May 12: Actress Eva Longoria has rubbished reports of any feud between "Desperate Housewives" co-stars, including Teri Hatcher.
"We all get along. Everybody says that [we don't]," usmagazine.com quoted her as saying.
Reports of supposed feud started off after Hatcher's name was conspicuously left off the cards attached to the parting gifts Longoria, 37, Marcia Cross, 50, Felicity Huffman, 49, and Vanessa Williams, 49, gave to their "Desperate Housewives" colleagues, after the final episode of the show was shot.

Eva Longoria has dismissed rumours the leading ladies of Desperate Housewives deliberately excluded Teri Hatcher from the series finale crew gift, insisting the actress has always preferred to do "her own thing".
Principal cast members Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams recently rounded up some extra cash to buy the crew behind their hit TV drama carry-on luggage as a thank you gift for their hard work throughout the show's eight seasons.
According to Celebuzz.com, the specially-designed luggage tag, signed by all four women, read, "Just know that on all your future adventures you are carrying a little piece of our love and gratitude. Thank you for a magical 8 years."
However, Hatcher's name was noticeably absent from the card - and gossip bloggers were quick to pick up on the omission, suggesting rumours of a long-running feud between Hatcher and her co-stars were true.
But Latin beauty Longoria has now spoken out to silence the speculation.
During an appearance on U.S. chat show The View on Friday, she said, "She (Hatcher) always does her own crew gift, and we've always invited her. For the past couple years she's always done her own thing." »

What will happen on Sunday’s series finale of ABC’s long-running soap Desperate Housewives? No one really knows, since the minds behind the show haven’t let any details slip. But sources tell us that you’ll definitely need to have a box of Kleenex handy to get through the two-hour episode.
However, in an effort to glean what we could about what’s coming on Desperate, EW recently sat down with series supporting star Kathryn Joosten, who nabbed two Emmys over her eight seasons of playing Wisteria Lane’s lovably cranky Mrs. McCluskey.
