Check it out here, and let us know in the comments below what you make of this early design compared to the character’s final look in the movie….

But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.

The Top Five Funniest Jeff Goldblum Scenes in Movies

It’s hard to remember just what kind of actor Jeff Goldblum is when you watch his many different movies. But if you pay attention you can see that he’s extremely funny in a dry, sort of sarcastic way. He might not mean to be sometimes but it comes out regardless and you can’t help but laugh at his antics and what he says. His personality is such that you can tell he’s a smart man but all the same he kind of panders to the crowd a bit when he’s acting and just cuts loose with the comedy. It makes

Thor: Ragnarok has surpassed Wonder Woman at the global box office

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok has now moved past DC’s Wonder Woman at the global box office.

Much is said about the Marvel/DC rivalry, and while none of it really matters, it is certainly interesting to see how various superhero movies perform at the box office compared to one another.

Thor: Ragnarok has been doing particularly well in markets across the world, having pulled in $301 million in the Us and an impressive $833 million worldwide. Comparing this to past Thor films, Ragnarok looks even better, beating out Thor ($449 million) and Thor: The Dark World ($644 million) with considerable ease.

But it’s not just previous Thor movies that Ragnarok is besting, with the movie now surpassing the very popular Wonder Woman at the box office as well (via Box Office Mojo). The $833 million of Thor: Ragnarok has just edged it past Wonder Woman’s $821 million.

Wonder Woman, however, still has bragging rights at home,

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Rockets to Dominant Social Media Buzz
Disney-Luscasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” dominated social media buzz last week in the wake of the Dec. 9 world premiere and announcing its dedication to the late Carrie Fisher, according to media-measurement firm comScore and its PreAct service.

“The Last Jedi,” which opens Dec. 15, generated 368,000 new conversations last week to bring its total to 4.75 million. Tracking has shown the tentpole’s opening weekend could be in the $200 million range at the domestic box office — which would be the fourth-largest of all time after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Jurassic World” and “The Avengers.”

Directed by Rian Johnson, the movie picks up where 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” left off. It stars returning cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Andy Serkis. ‘Portlandia’ Season 8: Kath and Dave Highlight the Dos and Don’ts of Escape Rooms — Watch

‘Portlandia’ Season 8: Kath and Dave Highlight the Dos and Don’ts of Escape Rooms — Watch
Kath and Dave are two of Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen’s most intense creations. Whether they’re trying to save the human race (after a local power outage) or going out for tapas (and dancing on the table), this couple doesn’t do anything half-assed.

Add escape rooms to the list.

In IndieWire’s exclusive video below, Kath and Dave team up with two strangers to work an escape room. Needless to say, they’re not the best team players, though one could argue their intensity only helps in the end.

Spielberg’s adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel of the same name tells of a virtual-reality game that brings together an array of ’80s pop-culture touchstones: “Back to the Future,” Freddy Krueger, “Mad Max,” and so on and so forth. That’s fitting of the director, whose own output in that most reminisced-upon of decades has inspired everything from “Super 8” to “Stranger Things” in recent years.

Should cinema audiences stay put for the credits?

Juliette Harrisson Dec 11, 2017

Getting up to leave as soon as the end credits start: is that a bad thing?

The recent piece on this site about 'credit offset' brings up an important issue that has been the cause of some heated debate among my friends and dearly beloved recently: should cinema audiences stay put for the end credits of a movie? Should people stay in their seats while anything up to 10 minutes of credits sweep by, or should people get themselves up and vacate the cinema so that the hard-working cinema employees can sweep up their rubbish in time for the next showing?

Now, being a Wittertainee and a cinephile, I am anticipating a stream of irate responses along the lines of “Of Course cinema audiences should stay put for the credits! How is this even a question?!”

There are two main reasons for cinema fans’ passionate advocacy for staying in your seats.

Can we all just admit Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom looks awful?

Anghus Houvouras on Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

I watched the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer, laughing like a loon at how completely bereft of ideas this terrible looking sequel has. The terrible trailer was launched this past week and was the most troubling two minutes of 2017 that didn’t involve the words ‘Donald’, ‘Trump, and ‘thermonuclear annihilation’.

This trailer was bad. So bad. And you know you’re in trouble when you can’t find two good minutes to string together for marketing purposes. The most glaring flaw wasn’t the return of Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt’s chemistry-free characters, but a plot which feels so redundant that they might as well have called this movie Jurassic World: The Lost Park.

Sequels usually suck because studios are afraid to go somewhere new. Most follow ups are so obsessively devoted to the original blueprint that they never build anything new.

Sebastian Stan Says Avengers 4 Is An Insane Juggernaut Of A Film

From Captain America’s rumored transition (Nomad, perhaps?) to Hawkeye’s newfound identity, the story rumors for Infinity War and Avengers 4 have been coming in thick and fast.

That largely comes down to the fact that Joe and Anthony Russo chose to shoot both ensemble movies back-to-back, resulting in a bottleneck of photos and leaked set pics. And though we still don’t know very much about either of the aforementioned films, it’s fair to say that both McU tentpoles are among the most-anticipated movies on the Hollywood calendar.

And for good reason, it seems, as according to Sebastian Stan, Avengers 4 is going to be an “insane juggernaut.” While chatting with Collider in a recent interview to promote his new movie I, Tonya, here’s what the actor had to say about the upcoming Phase 3 closer.

It’s chaotic, but it’s great. That’s another insane juggernaut. It’s a war.

The Flickering Myth Reaction to the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer

The Flickering Myth writing team reacts to the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer…

After successfully relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise in 2016 with Jurassic World, Universal Pictures is set to take us back to Isla Nublar next summer with the J.A. Bayona-directed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and yesterday saw the release of the very first trailer for the dino-blockbuster. Read on to find out what our writing team made of this first-look…

Tom Beasley: I struggled a little with this trailer, despite my love for all of the actors involved and for J.A. Bayona as a director. It certainly delivers in terms of visual spectacle, but the plot seems a little lazy and I’m not sure there’s enough there to mark this movie out as different to what has come before. But, on the other hand, we’re getting new dinosaur fights and I’m not one

Apparently Sam Neill Has A Role In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom seems as conscious of living in the original Jurassic Park‘s shadow as Jurassic World did. That awesome first trailer showcased the original ‘hero’ T-Rex, now battle-scarred after tangling with Indominus Rex at the conclusion of the last film, and also gave us a glimpse at the return of Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm, the ‘rock star’ chaos theorist famous for realizing that life, uh, f-finds a… way?

Now, the rumor mill is saying that Malcolm and the Rex might not be the only familiar faces we’ll see in the film, as Mr. Sunday Movies, who has a good reputation for accuracy on these things, is reporting that Sam Neill is due to make a surprise appearance, with a source claiming that the actor was spotted arriving in a blacked out SUV on set.

We can surmise from the trailer that there’s some

Sam Neill Returns as Alan Grant in Jurassic World 2 Cameo?

Sam Neill Returns as Alan Grant in Jurassic World 2 Cameo?
It looks like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has quite a few surprises in store, including a possible cameo from one of the franchise's most beloved characters. A new rumor suggests that Sam Neill may have a small scene in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, once again reprising his role as Dr. Alan Grant. For now, this needs to be regarded as mere rumor, but there's reason to believe this one has some weight to it. The news comes from Mr. Sunday Movies, who made the reveal in a recent YouTube video posted to his channel. Here's what he had to say about it.

"So this email I got, it's not somebody who I know personally, so take this with some granule of salt. This person who was working on the soundstage, where some of this film was shot, said that Sam Neill rolled up in a blacked out BMW at the time that this was filming.

Jeff Goldblum 'Jurassic Park' Laugh Remix Is Equal Parts Bizarre and Amazing

Jeff Goldblum 'Jurassic Park' Laugh Remix Is Equal Parts Bizarre and Amazing
Jeff Goldblum is nearly as enjoyable to watch in Jurassic Park as the dinosaurs.

When the film came out in 1993, audiences were drawn to his eccentric, mathematician "Chaos Theory" character, Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Goldblum has his own devoted fan following for the unique characters he has played through his career. But Malcolm stands out, so much so that fans have made Malcolm art — and someone even made a remix of his laugh from when the character is introduced in Jurassic Park.

Since it was posted in 2014, the fan-made video has accumulated nearly 3 million views. It is as bizarre as...

Jeff Goldblum Only Has a Cameo in Jurassic World 2

Jeff Goldblum Only Has a Cameo in Jurassic World 2
Universal finally did us all a favor and released the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom yesterday. While reactions have been mixed on the trailer overall, it had some excellent moments, including the return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm. So, how big of a role will Goldblum have in Jurassic World 2? Those hoping for him to get a lot of screen time may be sorely disappointed, as director J.A. Bayona reveals that his role is more of a cameo. However, that role is very meaningful to the movie. Here's what he had to say about it in a new interview.

"He's more like a cameo, he doesn't have a major role in the action but it's definitely a very meaningful one in terms of the story. He's always somehow been the voice of the conscience in these movies, telling us where the red lines are. He plays that role in this film.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Screenshots Tease New Dinos And An Erupting Volcano

It seems dinosaurs aren’t the only threat in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Set a full four years after Universal’s box office titan ($1.6 billion worldwide), the 2018 sequel largely revolves around an erupting volcano, one which leaves the park’s extraordinary wildlife on the brink of extinction…again. Leave it to Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), then, to swoop in and save the day. And that’s where Fallen Kingdom really kicks into gear.

With Blue still roaming the hills of Isla Nublar, Chris Pratt’s dino expert quickly boards the expedition in a last-ditch attempt to save the whip-smart velociraptor before it’s too late. Claire, on the other hand, has developed a newfound respect for the dinos, but according to Fallen Kingdom‘s extended synopsis, a great conspiracy is afoot.
