Netflix Whips Up A Screwball Comedy With A Side Of Cannibalism In First Promos For Santa Clarita Diet

9 January 2017 2:09 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Allow Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant to clue you in on the miraculous (read: horrifying) Santa Clarita Diet in these two new promos for Netflix’s upcoming original series.

Proving the couple that slays together, stays together, the videos begin like any other regular infomercial, with Barrymore and Olyphant addressing the camera – the audience – against a sheer white background. The former gushes about how she’s able to satisfy all her cravings while on the Santa Clarita diet, while a nervy Olyphant recreates one particular incident where his significant other unleashed her wrath, killed another person in the park and then had he/she for dinner.

Yes, as you’ve no doubt already gathered, the Santa Clarita Diet involves cannibalism – and lots of it. Olyphant and Barrymore play a married couple of realtors named Joel and Sheila, who lead “vaguely disconnected lives in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita. »

Look Back on Drew Barrymore's Adorable First-Ever Golden Globes Appearance

9 January 2017 11:45 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Drew Barrymore attended the Golden Globes on Sunday night looking completely stunning - and she definitely knew it, too. The 41-year-old actress and Golden Globe award winner flaunted her figure on the red carpet in a Monique Lhuillier gown and was equally ebullient while presenting on stage with her Santa Clarita Diet costar Timothy Olyphant. Drew's Globes appearance was her first since 2014, and marked her sixth over time; she first graced the show when she was only 8 years old, hitting the red carpet in a sweet pink princess-style dress and even speaking on stage with her E.T. costar Henry Thomas (seriously, watch the video below, she's ridiculously cute). More proof that Drew has always been one of Hollywood's most delightful humans.
