For four glorious years, David Chokachi played blonde hottie lifeguard Cody Madison on "Baywatch" -- famously donning those red shorts and not much else from 1995-1999. The actor romanced both Pam Anderson and Carmen Electra on the series, before starring on the short-lived cult TV series "Witchblade" and a surfing series for The N called "Beyond the Break." It's clear David's love of the waves carries over into his real life, as the 47-year-old star was spotted on the beach over the weekend hitting the surf. Sporting some Hurley surf gear, the father-of-one looked confident as ever (and still pretty damn hot) on his board in Malibu. Chokachi constantly shares beach pics on his Instagram page, including this shirtless shot on the sand. Not too shabby, right? The actor -- who also starred on the VH1 reality show "Confessions of a Teen Idol" in 2009 -- and wife Susan welcomed daughter »

My knowledge of Baywatch falls somewhere between nadda and ziltch; sure, I know of Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, and running down the beach in slow-motion, but that's where it ends. So when Zac Efron appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and made the claim that his upcoming Baywatch reboot with Dwayne Johnson will be "badass," I wasn't really sure what to think. Was the show... Read More »

Tabloids had speculated that the actress would play Pamela Anderson's character Cj Parker in the reboot, but Brook took to Instagram to quash the rumours.
"The tabloids have gone mad," she wrote. "Love it."
Further mocking the reports, she also posted an image of her face Photoshopped on top of Cj Parker, as well as one of her boyfriend Jeremy Parisi morphed with David Hasselhoff.

Anderson herself has commented on the Baywatch reboot, criticising the fact that it's happening.
"No-one appreciates the remakes," she said a few days ago. »
Now, this rumour comes from the British tabloid The Daily Star, so chances are it’s a total fabrication, but according to the paper British actress and model Kelly Brook is wanted for the upcoming Baywatch reboot in the role of C.J. Parker, played by Pamela Anderson in the TV series.
““Kelly is one of the shortlisters,” states the Star’s ‘source’. “It is no surprise. She has an almost identical body to a young Pam, looks sensational in a bikini and is a strong actress. Obviously, she would have to go blonde.”
- Gary Collinson
Kelly Brook, the British model turned actress who last appeared in the TV show One Big Happy, has apparently been shortlisted to star in the Baywatch movie opposite Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. The news is that the role in question is that of C.J. Parker, which was made famous by Pamela Anderson back in the 1990s.
Anderson has been pretty vocal about her thoughts on a Baywatch remake.
No one appreciates the remakes.
Now, take this with a pinch of salt as the source for the news is British tabloid The Daily Star, but we actually quite like the idea of Brook in the role.
The source had the following to say to the newspaper:
“Kelly is one of the shortlisters. It is no surprise. She has an almost identical body to a young Pam, looks sensational in a »

Pamela Anderson isn't convinced the 'Baywatch' movie will be a success. The 48-year-old actress rose to worldwide prominence thanks to her starring role on the drama series, but she is skeptical of plans to make a movie reboot of the show with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Zac Efron. She told TMZ: ''No one appreciates the remakes.'' Although Pamela enjoyed incredible success during her time on the show, she's unsure if it's suited to the big screen. Last week, meanwhile, Zac Efron admitted he was ''stoked'' to have been handed a leading role in the 'Baywatch' movie, admitting he can't wait to appear alongside The Rock. Zac - who also appears alongside Emily Ratajkowski in new music drama film 'We Are Your Friends' - told Bang Showbiz: ''I'm pretty stoked, yeah. I'm very, very excited.'' What's more, Zac said he was keen »
While Dwayne Johnson may be ecstatic about the action-comedy toned film version of classic 1990s TV series "Baywatch" in which he's set to star, the show's most iconic actress isn't as thrilled with the idea.
Pamela Anderson, who made her name in a red swimsuit on the series, tells TMZ she's not a fan of the big screen reboot in the works saying "No one appreciates the remakes".
The online publication says "Pam goes on to say Baywatch was the best time of her life but the 90's were a 'simpler, sweeter time' for TV, it won't work on the big screen in 2015." She was also asked if the producers asked her to be part of the new movie - apparently they haven't asked her yet according to the report.

Dwayne Johnson is excited about his new Baywatch movie. He promises it will be Rated R, and we've already heard that it will be inline with 21 Jump Street, sharing that TV-to-Movie adaptation's tone. It will also co-star a shirtless Zac Efron. Fans seem as excited as they can be, and it's generally been greeted with enthusiasm. But one original star doesn't like they idea. In fact, this former bathing suit beauty boldly states that it will suck.
Yes, even though she is rumored for a cameo, original cast member of the 1989 Baywatch, Pamela Anderson, doesn't think it's a good idea. She scoffs at Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron's attempts to take over the franchise. According to TMZ, when they asked her about the big screen reboot of her hit series, she had this to say.
"No one appreciates the remakes."
TMZ doesn't go onto give proper quotes, but according to the news source, »
Pamela Anderson and Baywatch are practically synonymous, so when the star of the TV series says a movie remake is a bad idea, we all might want to listen up. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron are banding together to star in a new Baywatch movie, and the woman who basically made this property (and slow-motion running) a thing has some thoughts about it. TMZ caught up with Anderson, who played lifeguard C.J. Parker in the original TV series from the .90s. When asked about what she thought of the new movie, she said: No one appreciates the remakes. She continued to say that the film wouldn.t work in 2015 because the .90s were "a sweeter, simpler time" for TV. She also praised the Baywatch series as being the best time of her life, but it should be noted that she was not asked to reprise her role »
It turns out that the actress doesn't believe the upcoming movie will be a hit at all.
"No-one appreciates the remakes," Anderson told TMZ.
She stressed that she loved doing Baywatch back in the '90s, but questioned whether the concept would work in today's generation as a movie.
Anderson also confirmed she won't be featuring in the reboot.
Efron recently teased that the new Baywatch will be "big, real and raw", adding that he plans to be hitting the gym with Johnson.
The That Awkward Moment star is playing a young lifeguard who teams up with a veteran (Johnson) to save their beach from an environmental disaster. »
The "Baywatch" remake is a bad idea that should never be made into a movie ... so says the woman who became famous from the original. Pam Anderson is scoffing at the Zac Efron/Dwayne Johnson reboot, saying "No one appreciates the remakes." Pam goes on to say Baywatch was the best time of her life but the 90's were a "simpler, sweeter time" for TV, it won't work on the big screen in 2015. And if »

The Baywatch movie is one of those projects that has been kicking around Hollywood forever, looking for just the right team to tackle it head-on. That seems to be happening, with Dwayne Johnson taking the lead for Paramount. Yesterday, it was announced that Zac Efron will be The Rock's co-star in the beachside action comedy. Shortly after word hit the Internet, Dwayne Johnson sent out a few select Tweets of his own, with one big promise to moviegoers.
Yes, The Rock insists that this version of Baywatch will be Rated R, something fans have been hoping for. Some have been hesitant to share their excitement about the project, but now it sounds like Paramount might have a pretty strong franchise contender on its hands. The tone and sense of humor has been compared to 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street. And it sounds like CHiPs, which is being directed, »
After news last month that director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) had signed on to direct the big-screen adaptation of hit TV show Baywatch, word has arrived from The Hollywood Reporter that Bad Neighbours star Zac Efron is in talks to join the cast.
Dwayne Johnson (Fast & Furious 7) is headlining the big-screen version of the film, which tells the story of California lifeguards. Efron will co-star as the “young rule-flouting hothead” in the film, which has production set to ramp up ready for a January or Feburary 2016 start. Damien Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th) have written the last version of the script.
Baywatch, created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, Gregory J. Bonann, ran between 1989-2001, with a cast that included David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson amongst others. The film version is set for release in 2017.

I’m not one to endorse rebooting kitsch TV properties as movies, but after the success of 21 Jump Street, I must concede that when the talent’s in place, anything’s possible. Still, my generosity only stretches so far, and Baywatch, one of the 90s hollowest TV hits, is pushing the limit.
Baywatch is mostly famed for its stars and aesthetic. Following a group of lifeguards, the show made celebrities of David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra, whilst cementing the “slo-mo beach run” as an actual shot-type. TV doesn’t get much cheesier, so you’ve got to suspect this new version will have its tongue firmly planted in cheek. The odd-couple pairing of Johnson and Efron feels very Jump Street, »

Prepare to see some hot bods on the beach as another muscled heart-throb has joined the cast of the planned Baywatch movie. Joining Dwayne Johnson will be Bad Neighbours star Zac Efron who will don the famous red shorts in the proposed R-rated comedy which is being directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses).
The Hollywood Reporter says that the new version of the hit 1990s TV show ‘centers on a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon.’
It will be raunchy, and it will be funny.

It’s been 26 years since David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson first hit the beach in the television series Baywatch, and that means it’s the perfect time for Hollywood to recycle it in the form of a big screen adaptation. Dwayne Johnson is set to star in a raunchy, comedic take on the ’90s series with […]

Zac Efron is in talks to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in Paramount Pictures' upcoming big screen adaptation of Baywatch. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Zac Efron's casting ensures the movie will start production in early 2016, most likely in February. The news comes just a few weeks after Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) signed on to direct.
The story follows a "by-the-book and very serious lifeguard," played by Dwayne Johnson who joins forces with a "young rule-flouting hothead" (Zac Efron) to try and save their beach from environmental destruction by an oil tycoon. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th) wrote the latest draft of the screenplay, which was originally written by Justin Malen. It isn't known how many other major roles are left to be cast for Baywatch, but there have been rumors that original Baywatch stars David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson may reprise their roles in cameo appearances. »
Zac Efron is in negotiations to join Dwayne Johnson in Paramount’s “Baywatch,” an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap. The film will be a big-screen adaptation of the hit TV series, which ran from 1989 to 2001 starring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. In recent weeks, Seth Gordon (“Horrible Bosses”) was added as director. Production is aiming to start in early 2016. Another day, another remake. This time Paramount is finally putting together an update "big-screen take" on the 90s TV show that originally starred David Hasselhoff & Pamela Anderson. THR reports Paramount has set director Seth Gordon, of Identity Thief, Horrible Bosses, Four Christmases and The King of Kong, to take on the new Baywatch which is also set to star Dwayne Johnson. Johnson has been attached since late last year, and the project has been gestating for at least a decade. We've been hearing about some rumblings and rumors of a Baywatch movie forever, but now it sounds like they're pushing forward with it (another name brand project, of course) with Gordon in negotiations to take the job directing. I'm intrigued. Paramount's new take on a Baywatch movie has been in the works for years. The script has undergone many revisions and the latest iteration is by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. »
