Actor Anne Hathaway has played a variety of roles since her breakthrough film The Princess Diaries. Not too long ago, she joined Sandra Bullock and many other stars for the action thriller Ocean’s 8. She not only enjoyed her time on the feature, but was pleasantly surprised by the sisterhood she experienced there.

Hathaway found herself playing a bad guy in the 2018 feature Ocean’s 8. Similar to its predecessors led by Brad Pitt, Ocean’s 8 featured a team of women brought together for a major bank heist. Hathaway’s character would be the target for the professional thieves, which included the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna. But although Hathaway wouldn’t be teaming up with the other actors onscreen, there was plenty of solidarity between her and her co-stars behind the scenes.

Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films are considered cult classics and amongst the director’s most iconic works. While the two parts of the blood-soaked revenge drama were filmed together, they were released within 6 months of each other owing to the filmmaker’s reluctance to fit the narrative into one film.
Uma Thurman in Kill Bill
Kill Bill: Volume 2 completed 20 years on April 16th, and was a fitting finale to the saga of The Bride played to perfection by Uma Thurman. In an interview a few years ago, Tarantino had a discussion with his lead star and spoke about the scenes he would have hypothetically cut off if he had decided to condense his story into just one film.
Quentin Tarantino Would Have Done Away With This Scene In His Cult Classic
Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill series worked magically thanks to the director’s decision to execute the revenge saga over two films.

From beginning his career as a rapper to becoming one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, Mark Wahlberg’s journey to superstardom has been inspirational. While the actor has done a gamut of roles, his love for the action genre is well-documented over the years in films like Shooter, the Transformers series, Patriots Day, and many more.

Wahlberg has been a hardcore sports fan, especially when it comes to boxing and the UFC in which he has also invested in professionally. In 2010, the Oscar nominee went through rigorous training to play the role of a boxer in the sports biopic, The Fighter. Despite the celebrity continuing to maintain a ripped physique at age 52, he felt nailing this character now was a bit out of his reach.

Samuel L. Jackson is revealing why he loves working with Quentin Tarantino.
Amid the Pulp Fiction 30th Anniversary celebration, Jackson opened up about why he likes being part of Tarantino’s films.
“Tarantino films are very different in that, yes, they are character-driven,” Jackson told AP on April 18. “So when you read a Tarantino script, you all of a sudden find yourself knowing you’re going to have a lot to say about who you are and how you feel about things rather than reading five pages of, ‘Ok, drive fast, look this way, the car is going over a curb.'”
He continued, “So there are a lot of more things that you have to embody as a character and bring with you to do it. The fact that I spent years and years in theater helped me a lot to embrace what Quentin does. And he appreciates it...

Brad Pitt was the King of Hollywood for many years and still enjoys a lot of royal privileges in the industry. He’s adored and cult-followed… But at the same time, many great movies he starred in went under the radar for the people who enjoy his works.
Thankfully, Netflix is there to help all of us get a grip and see more hidden gems the biggest actor of the 2000s was part of.
Brad Pitt’s Western War Movie Killed It
It’s a scary number, but Legends of the Fall premiered 30 years ago, back in 1994. Directed by Edward Zwick, this Western war drama featured an amazing cast: apart from Brad Pitt, it had Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond and others.
Legends of the Fall follows a family of a former US Army soldier that moved to a ranch in Montana together with their Cree Native American friends.

In honor of her latest movie, let’s revisit her many awards races, including her first Oscar nomination for “The Power of the Dog.”
Dunst’s first role that brought the actress lots of awards attention arrived in 1994 in Neil Jordan’s “Interview with the Vampire,” starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Dunst’s performance as the young outspoken vampire Claudia earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress, up against Sophia Loren in “Prét-à-Porter,” Robin Wright Penn in “Forrest Gump,” Uma Thurman in “Pulp Fiction” and Dianne Wiest, who won the trophy for “Bullets over Broadway.”

Young comic book fans might not realize the significance of the bloody battles and high drama shown in Frank Miller’s graphic novel, but watching Zack Snyder’s timeless epic 300 will never disappoint. But tracing back to Snyder’s 2006 landmark drama that broke new ground at the time of its release, the director revealed how he was initially rejected.
Hollywood filmmaker Zack Snyder (image credit: Wikimedia Commons)
Reminiscing the work that went into 300, Zack Snyder recalled convincing Warner Bros. to greenlight the project after long-drawn hesitation. Using clever tricks to persuade WB, Snyder’s methods eventually made their way into Gerard Butler’s movie and turned it into a classic.
Warner Bros. Was Initially Hesitant to Greenlight 300
It’s been more than a decade since Zack Snyder released Gerard Butler’s 300 in 2006. Yet, the movie somehow feels iconic and timeless, which later shaped the cinematic landscape following its release.

Chicago – “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare” wants to be “Inglourious Basterds” in the worst way … but Henry Cavill is no Brad Pitt, and Guy Ritchie is no Quentin Tarantino. It’s a featherweight romp about British rogues killing Nazis that’s arch, witty, and completely forgettable. It goes down easy enough, but seems unlikely to inspire the love and devotion it so clearly craves.
Rating: 3.0/5.0
The film has a toehold’s basis in fact, focusing on declassified details of a secret group of colorful agents embarking on black ops for Prime Minister Winston Churchhill during World War II. Henry Cavill stars as the dashing leader of the group who are there to kill Nazis and look good doing it. He’s a handsome and well educated military man (and spy) who doesn’t play by anyone’s rules but his own, yet is devoted to King and Country all the same.

I never liked Tom Ripley but I keep meeting him.
I’ve “met” Ripley in five films, and he’s now the protagonist of a somber eight-part Netflix series. So filmmakers clearly find his character intriguing. Even though he has no character.
That, in itself, reminds me that Hollywood is suffering the same problem as Washington: an absence of vital young protagonists. Voters are confronted by an election that’s really a rerun, likely opened by a debate no one wants to witness.
In filmmaking, the worldwide success of Oppenheimer told us that a complex story becomes more interesting if it’s also about someone interesting. Yet movies with vibrant young protagonists seem to be losing their moment.
Dan Lin, the new chief of film at Netflix, confides a desire — since rebutted by Ted Sarandos on Thursday’s Q1 earnings call — to steer away from mindless mega-budget action films like...

With all the abrupt updates about Quentin Tarantino’s canceled tenth movie, there are so far no possible perspectives for where the director’s final touch in the cinema industry could go — but, as more details are coming in, it turns out that Tarantino’s initial plan for the final movie was abandoned long before the news about it broke a couple of days ago.
On top of that, the director considered a step towards his previous story which could surely cause a lot of excitement among his fans — despite that, this idea was also doomed to stay on the shelf.
Thus, The Hollywood Reporter’s writer Borys Kit has recently spilled some tea about Quentin Tarantino’s hectic change of plans over the course of last months.

David Fincher is a philosopher as well as a perfectionist. When asked about the significance of his 8K remastering of “Seven” (premiering April 19 at the Chinese IMAX in 4K as part of the TCM Classic Film Festival), he told IndieWire, “If you think of it in string theory, it’s like a volumetric capture of where all these careers were at, and what these people wanted and needed and infused the thing with.”
Fincher was referring, of course, to Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Spacey, and the rest of the cast and crew who made his breakout 1995 serial killer neo-noir. The film was a brilliant analog product of the era (with only seven weeks of prep) but also ahead of its time in conveying a dark, creepy, nihilistic police procedural that got under our skin like no other film.
“It is what it is, warts and all,” Fincher said.

Tarantino llevaba meses perfeccionando “The Movie Critic”.

Well, we didn’t have to wait long for more details to emerge regarding the shock cancellation of Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic. Yesterday, we covered the report that stated Tarantino had abandoned the plans for his final film and would instead begin on an entirely new project. According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit it now looks like Tarantino has actually scrapped two films.

Back in 2003, veteran James Bond actor Sean Connery portrayed the role of Allan Quatermain in a film called The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The film was a complete disaster as the reviews addressed the film as just terrible and unpleasant to watch… at that time.
With the recent failure of superhero movies, it seems that people are giving the old movies a second chance and this week, it’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Taking to X, people talked about how the movie is actually good compared to modern films!

Brad Pitt’s character ‘One Punch’ Mickey in the film Snatch had to be dirty, smelly, and scruffy and the actor was willing to go the extra mile for the demands of the character. The character was part of a gypsy-like group of Irish travelers and Pitt decided not to wash himself to get into the skin of his character. Interestingly, old habits die hard for Pitt, who reportedly found a way around having to wash himself regularly.

Sean Connery’s legacy in film history is irrefutable just as much as his contribution to the evolution of late 20th-century cinema. Despite the era’s misgivings and misogyny, Connery remains an irrevocable icon for his role as James Bond in the franchise’s first live-action film Dr. No. His blue-eyed, broad-shouldered, and laid-back charm not only hypnotized millions but also brought the Scotsman fame on a level previously unheard of.

Sadder still, the actor blatantly used his fame as a tool to lord over industry producers and directors for a bigger payday.

Quentin Tarantino has abandoned his upcoming film, The Movie Critic, and is no longer planning to make it. Now, the director is back to brainstorming what his 10th and final film will be.
The news broke on Wednesday, with unnamed sources confirming Tarantino’s reversal. “He simply changed his mind,” Deadline reported, with sources suggesting that he “had a change of heart… [and] is going back to the drawing board to figure out what that final movie will be.”
Set to be his grand finale, The Movie Critic had been in pre-production for over a year, and even had big name stars like Brad Pitt attached to it. The film was to be set in California in 1977, with a plot following “a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”

There’s no bigger critic than the self.
In a surprising turn of events, the two-time Oscar-winner and heavily influential Hollywood personality Quentin Tarantino has reportedly ditched his in-development project, “The Movie Critic.”
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the film – about which there has been tremendous speculation but few hard facts – had been eyed as the director’s much-ballyhooed “tenth and final” project. Instead, at the moment, Tarantino has decided to put it in the ashcan. THR’s sources say that what began as a profile of a movie reviewer – possibly writing for a pornographic publication in the 1970s, and possibly including different endings to movies of the period like “Rolling Thunder” (as per an interview with Paul Schrader) – had slowly began to morph into a “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” sequel or prequel, with Brad Pitt reprising his Oscar-winning supporting role of stuntman Cliff Booth. There had also...

Legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, who is known for ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Django Unchained’, ‘Reservoir Dogs’, and others, is not interested in making ‘The Movie Critic’, which he previously said would be his final directorial venture.
The director has given the project a thumbs down, reports ‘Variety’.
‘The Movie Critic’ would have been Tarantino’s 10th feature film, but sources say he won’t be looking to rewrite the script or revive the project, instead making plans to move on to something new.
As per ‘Variety’, Brad Pitt had been cast in a lead role in the film. At one point, Tarantino had said the 1977-set film was about a small-time movie critic who wrote smart reviews for a porn magazine. It was also rumoured that Pitt would play some form of his ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’ character Cliff Booth, who in Tarantino’s novelisation of the feature was a big movie buff.

Quentin Tarantino has apparently walked away from his planned final film, The Movie Critic. More on the news here.
Here’s some news straight out of the blue this morning: Quentin Tarantino has reportedly walked away from The Movie Critic, and given that the filmmaker’s next movie is supposed to be his last, he likely won’t be returning to it.
Instead, Tarantino is said to be looking at doing something else entirely. This rather shocking news comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, with the outlet citing unnamed sources as the origin of the story.
Only a few days ago, reports were suggesting that the film had finally locked down a shoot date following delays caused by last year’s strikes. Now, if this story proves to be true, it looks like the film might never happen at all.
There is definitely an ‘if’ connected to this story though.

If you were eagerly anticipating seeing Quentin Tarantino's next and — according to him — final film as The Movie Critic, well… just keep on eagerly anticipating something else. According to Deadline, the writer/director has changed his mind and will develop something else instead.
Tarantino had been talking up the idea for some time, having revealed that he was inspired by a real-life film critic who wrote for a porn magazine to craft the story of a writer in that field who works in the 1970s.
And Brad Pitt was lining up to join the film in a starring capacity, though whether he was going to be playing the title character, or as was rumoured, some version of Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood's Cliff Booth had yet to be confirmed.

As Samuel L. Jackson's bounty hunter says in "The Hateful Eight," "Let's slow it down. Let's slow it wayyyyy down." That's the vibe right now when it comes to what was originally going to be filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's 10th and final movie, "The Movie Critic." Although it initially seemed that the film was on a smooth, steady track to getting made fairly soon, Tarantino has changed his mind and decided to drop it altogether, according to Deadline.
As reported earlier this year, "The Movie Critic" would have re-teamed Tarantino with "Inglourious Basterds" and "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" star Brad Pitt as well as that film's distribution studio Sony. It would've been a film about "Travis Bickle if he were a film critic," according to comments the filmmaker made last year about the script.

Quentin Tarantino is going back to the drawing board for what will be his 10th and final film. Tarantino is stepping away from “The Movie Critic” as his 10th feature and will no longer be making it, IndieWire has confirmed.
The news is a major shock, as the project had Brad Pitt in talks for the lead role and even rumors that Sony was circling the project to release it after previously releasing his prior film, 2019’s “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.” The film even secured a California tax credit to shoot in Los Angeles and was meant to begin shooting earlier this year, but was delayed due to Tarantino reportedly rewriting his script.
But a source says Tarantino has now had a change of heart and moved on from the film entirely. It’s now unclear what he intends for his next film, presumably still meant to be his last.

Well, this is an interesting about-face, and so much for the rumors about the recent start dates. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has decided to scrap “The Movie Critic” as his final film. He’s changed his mind; he won’t make it, and what he will substitute for his supposed tenth and final film is unclear.
According to Deadline, the rumors are true that Brad Pitt was going to star, and apparently, many of the previous members of Tarantino’s repertory company were eyeing roles, but it’s all moot now, and the film has been scrapped.

Quentin Tarantino is going back to the drawing board for his 10th and final film. The auteur had been preparing to start shooting The Movie Critic this year, but is backing away from the project, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
Tarantino had been honing The Movie Critic for months. Set in 1977 California, it initially drew inspiration from a cynical movie critic that the filmmaker grew up reading. But sources say it morphed along the way into a film that would feature Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, the stuntman he portrayed in an Oscar-winning performance in Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It is unclear if this film was going to be a prequel or a 1970s-set sequel to Hollywood. But in recent weeks, Tarantino had a change of heart again and moved away from the film entirely.

Go on, take everything – and everyone down a peg. Courtney Love is going after some of the most popular female artists on the scene and of all time, taking digs at everybody from Taylor Swift to Madonna. Well, let’s hear it, Miss World!
Courtney Love’s former band Hole made its mark by being one of the key female-led grunge acts of the ‘90s. But for her, today’s music is all just a copy of a copy. “It’s great that there are so many successful women in the music industry, but lots of them are becoming a cliché…Now, every successful woman is cloned, so there is just too much music. They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you get bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same.”
So, which modern acts make Courtney Love’s celebrity skin crawl? Taylor Swift for one.

Courtney Love has never been shy when it comes to sharing her opinions about other people. With a new BBC radio series now launched, Courtney Love is once again proving the power of the adage “go large or go home.”
In a wide ranging interview with the UK’s Standard today, the former Hole front woman puts forth her take on some of the biggest names in the music industry. Let’s just say, Love bites in deep in the newspaper, to quote from her 1998 tune “Celebrity Skin,” to get her pound of flesh from Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Madonna and recent Coachella headliner Lana Del Rey.
“Taylor is not important,” the People vs. Larry Flint star says of the superstar.
“She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist,” Love added.
The contrarian opinion on Swift is a big shift from where Love was on the Folklore singer just over two years ago.
