Drunk History features two comics who recount different stories from history while drunk. Iconic moments are re-enacted by comedy actors.

The Us version has aired three seasons so far, and has previously featured events such as the meeting between Elvis Presley and Richard Nixon, and the Watergate scandal.

Jimmy Carr will narrate the UK pilot, with stories played out by Dustin Demri-Burns, Tom Rosenthal, Mathew Horne and Rob Beckett.

The original format was based on web videos by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner for Funny or Die.

Miles Teller: 'My goal is to play a young Elvis Presley'

25 September 2014 2:59 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Miles Teller has revealed that he wants to play Elvis Presley.

The Divergent actor said that his "goal" is to play the singer in his younger years, as he feels nobody has ever "gotten that right".

Speaking to W magazine, he said: "My main dream is to play Elvis. That's my goal. I think he and I look alike and do a lot of similar things well: sing, dance, and I think he played sports.

"I want to play Young Elvis," Teller added. "They've never gotten that right. It's easy to do wrecked, bloated, and drug-addicted. I want to play characters who have the fever and win. It's harder."

Earlier this year, it was reported that The Great Gatsby's Baz Luhrmann may direct an Elvis Presley biopic with Warner Bros.

Meanwhile, Teller recently spoke out about his role in Divergent, saying that the part left him feeling "dead inside »

24 September 2014 8:26 AM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

The television adaptation of Steven Soderbergh’s movie The Girlfriend Experience looks like it has found its star. Indiewire’s The Playlist reports that Riley Keough will take on the 13-episode series, which will, like the film, tackle the concept of expensive escorts who provide their clients with the “girlfriend experience”—that is, providing affectionate, sustained interaction apart from (or in addition to) sexual acts. Adult film star Sasha Grey was the lead in the film.

Keough, Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, had a small role in Soderbergh’s Magic Mike. Though Soderbergh is executive producing, two directors, Lodge Kerrigan and Amy Seimetz, »

Charles Aznavour: Concert Review

21 September 2014 9:45 AM, PDT | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

It would make perfect sense for Charles Aznavour to be giving his farewell concert in New York, as has been advertised for his show Saturday night at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. The French-Armenian singer/songwriter — who was named entertainer of the century in a 1998 CNN poll, beating out the likes of Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan — is, after all, 90 years old. Having written some 1,000 songs, sold over 100 million records and achieved cinema immortality via some 60 films, including Francois Truffaut’s Shoot the Piano Player, he could well afford to rest on his

18 September 2014 10:00 AM, PDT | Gold Derby | See recent Gold Derby news »

Barbra Streisand looks set to debut at the top of the Billboard album chart with her new disc "Partners." This album of duets -- which features pairings with a dozen fellows including Michael Buble, John Mayer and Elvis Presley -- is set to sell at least 160,000 copies this week, easily outpacing Chris Brown's long delayed "X," which is forecast to move about 120,000 units.  -Break- Streisand has staged an all-out media blitz to promote this platter, including making her first late night talk show appearance in more than half a century with Monday's well-reviewed appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." She proved to be a good sport, duetting with the host on three of the ditties from the disc (Watch the pair perform below).  If she can hold off that challenge from Brown, Streisand will better her Billboard record of scoring at least one No. 1 album in each decade »

Barbra Streisand Duets with Jimmy Fallon as Elvis

16 September 2014 10:57 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

I realize that Jimmy Fallon is host of "The Tonight Show" and has probably achieved the greatest success possible for a comedian -- or even an entertainer in general. But guys, that man got to duet with Barbra Streisand last night. I think now he can officially retire. Watch as Jimmy and Barbra, who just made her first appearance on a late-ight talk show in decades, perform a medley of duets with Jimmy acting as Elvis Presley (and a couple others). I think I'm ready to see Jimmy's turn as Fanny Brice. »

Watch: Barbra Streisand and Jimmy Fallon Duet on Elvis, Blake Shelton, Michael Buble Medley

16 September 2014 6:40 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

To promote her new duets album, “Partners,” Barbra Streisand paid a visit to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday night and performed an impressive medley of duets with the host, including hits from Elvis Presley, Blake Shelton and Michael Buble.

Donning an Elvis wig, cowboy hat and bowtie, Fallon did an admirable approximation of Shelton and Buble (Presley less so) for “Love Me Tender,” “I’d Want It To Be You” and “It Had To Be You.”

If hosting doesn’t pan out, at least Fallon could have a long career at a Vegas revue.

Barbra Streisand Talks Divas, Stardom and Why She's Going to Write a Book on ‘Tonight Show’ (Video)

Barbra Streisand is one of the most revered entertainers of the modern era, so it perhaps makes sense that she completely took over “The Tonight Show” on Monday during her first guest appearance in late night in more than 50 years, even if it wasn't her idea. Streisand herself admitted that she doesn't remember all of the shows she's been on, and took delight in a picture Jimmy Fallon produced of her on Johnny Carson's “Tonight Show” when she was a teen. Barbra Streisand Sang a Duet With Jimmy Fallon

In what marks her first appearance as a late-night guest in over 50 years, Barbra Streisand appeared on The Tonight Show Monday to promote her new album Partners, which features the legendary diva performing duets with a number of high-profile male vocalists. She performed a medley of three of those tracks tonight, with Jimmy Fallon standing in for duet partners Elvis Presley ("Love Me Tender"), Blake Shelton ("I'd Want It to be You") and Michael Bublé ("It Had to Be You"). We all know Jimmy never avoids the opportunity to do bad musical impressions in a goofy Elvis wig and a cowboy hat, but even his hamming couldn't detract from the majesty that is Babs live. »

Theodore J. Flicker, a filmmaker whose eclectic career included the Cold War comedy “The President’s Analyst” and the much-loved ABC comedy “Barney Miller,” died Sept. 13 at his home in Santa Fe, N.M. He was 84.

Flicker’s family told the Santa Fe New Mexican that the writer-helmer died in his sleep.

Flicker moved into Hollywood after working with an improvisational group in New York that he co-founded, the Premise. Members including future showbiz notables George Segal, Joan Darling and Buck Henry. The group helped Flicker produce his first film, the indie cult classic “The Troublemaker” (1964).

Flicker directed episodes of a handful of TV series, including “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” got his first break in features by co-writing the Elvis Presley feature “Spinout” (1966) and then really broke through with 1967 comedy “The President’s Analyst,” an offbeat send-up of the era’s obsession with thrillers, spies and psychoanalysis that Flicker wrote and directed. »
