- DirectorJack HannahStarsGrace StaffordPaul FreesNancy WibleThe first in a series of "Beary Family" cartoons, Walter Lantz's last original cartoon series. Bessie Beary, wife of Charlie Beary, introduces us to the family which also includes son, Junior, daughter, Suzy, and pet, Goose, which, as Bessie explains, does not get along with Charlie. The story which unfolds explains why. It was Suzy's birthday and Charlie went to get a goose for her birthday supper. Unfortunately, Suzy thought the goose was intended as a pet and untied it leaving Charlie at its mercy. Goose settles into the family unit although Charlie declares, "Someday I'm gonna cook that goose!"
- DirectorJack HannahStarsGrace StaffordPaul FreesBessie Beary complains she is tired of always having to do the housework. Charlie offers to take care of things while she goes to the beauty parlor. Bessie, with good reason, does not trust Charlie and advises Goose to keep an eye out. Sure enough, Charlie does his chores as sloppily as possible leaving Goose to head over to the beauty parlor to tattle to Bessie who berates Charlie over the phone. Charlie soon discovers what a snitch Goose is and tries to "close that big beak".

- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordAn exhausted Charlie returns from work hoping to get some rest. However, Bessie informs him that their children, Junior and Suzy, have become school cheerleaders who (rather noisily) practice their routines at home. Charlie is displeased by this (he loses more than one newspaper to their antics) and tries to stop practice but fails constantly. Examples: he throws Suzy's baton out the window but it boomerangs back and hits him in the face; he steals Junior's megaphone and is criticized by Bessie who now believes him to be the source of the noise.
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordCharlie has a present for his family... a brand new TV set. However, once he turns it on, he gets nothing but "zig-zag lines". He complains over the phone and is told he needs to install an aerial. He refuses to pay someone else to do it and is convinced he can do it himself. Bad decision! First he must get up to the roof after his ladder falls apart. Once making it to the roof, he has difficulty staying up there. Eventually, the TV winds up at the bottom of their swimming pool but Charlie isn't licked yet. Wearing scuba gear, the family watches TV from the pool's bottom!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsDaws ButlerGrace StaffordPaul FreesJunior is a participant in a nightclub dancing contest and is declared the winner. His prize is a pet monkey whom Junior names, "Bunkey", and takes home with him. Unfortunately, he isn't quite sure what his parents will think of their new "guest" and is determined to keep the simean hidden from them. Unfortunately, the ape makes all kinds of noise which cause Charlie and Bessie to think a prowler is loose in the house. After disguising the chimp as a baby, Charlie discovers the ape and exclaims, "Either that monkey goes or I go." The family waves good-bye to Charlie who leaves the house, suitcase packed!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordCharlie Beary tries to relax but is unaware of a cricket loose in the house. He hears a squeak coming from Bessie's vacuum cleaner, Suzy's doll, and Junior's saxophone. He applies oil to each item. He eventually finds the real source of the squeak, the cricket, and angrily chases it using a bathroom plunger and a baseball bat to help capture it. The result leaves him in bandages but at least things are quiet once more... for a while, at least.
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordA nostalgic Charlie is searching through his college trunk when he comes across an old photo of his football team which catches Junior's interest. Charlie passes himself off as the team's star but Bessie insists he was only good at being their "water boy". Charlie, determined to prove Bessie wrong, attempts to show Junior a thing or two about the game. But Bessie was right; Charlie isn't the most experienced athlete. He dresses as a tackling dummy which leads to disaster. He also gets the football caught in his mouth several times. Finally, he attempts to kick a field goal but the football has been set up a little too close to a water spigot and Charlie kicks the latter instead!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordCharlie decides not to pay a professional to wash his windows, convinced he can do things just fine by himself. Again, Charlie is revealed to be mistaken. He actually gets more windows broken than he does washed! He also spends a great number of time falling into the swimming pool, usually because of Junior. Finally, Charlie flips out and breaks the only unbroken window, then slips on Junior's skateboard sending the entire family to pool's bottom!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordBessie is doing the dishes when a mouse makes his presence known in the kitchen. She calls for an exterminator but Charlie refuses to pay a "professional" any money and is convinced he can catch the rodent himself. As usual, Charlie has overestimated himself. He tries a mousetrap which snaps shut on his finger. He grabs an applecore (which he thinks is the mouse) and gets Junior to hit it with a hammer. Junior hits Charlie's hand instead. He sets up a rifle, uses a vacuum cleaner and a dynamite stick, and finally rigs an elaborate trap, none of which successfully catches the mouse. When the exterminator finally arrives, Bessie sends him after Charlie instead!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordAt a matinee show, Junior wins a prize, a pet turkey. But he isn't sure his parents will like it when he returns home. Much to his surprise, Charlie does to want to keep the turkey...exclaiming, "We'll have him for Sunday dinner!" Junior is not eager to have his new pet devoured and protects him from Charlie at all costs. He even tries to disguise the fowl as his friend, Redneck Rudy, a protest singer. Finally, Charlie captures the turkey and beats it senseless. Feeling bad, he revives it and they make up. He decides to have hot dogs for Sunday dinner instead.
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordCharlie, all set for a day's golf game, is horrified to discover it is pouring rain outside. Bessie suggests that since he can't play golf, he can help wallpaper the house instead. Charlie reluctantly agrees but is generally inept at everything he attempts, breaking a chair, having trouble getting his ladder to stay up, getting hit in the face with a board, getting stuck behind a wallpaper strip, and dealing with his knuckle-brained assistant, Junior. Much to Charlie's surprise, it is sunny outside an open window but still raining outside. The "rain" is really a hose pouring over the doorway, a ruse Bessie used to get him to stay home. Charlie plays golf anyway and is beset by a terrible thunderstorm!
- DirectorPaul J. SmithStarsPaul FreesGrace StaffordCharlie trips on a hole in his carpet and decides the family needs a new one. He buys one but decides to install it himself (rather than hiring a professional). Things do not go smoothly. He gets in hot water with a policeman on the way home and breaks a window with the carpet upon returning. In moving the furniture to install the carpet, Charlie gets a lamp knocked on his head, drops a piano through the floor, and smashes a police car with a runaway TV set (again angering the policeman). Finally, the furniture is moved outside but it starts to rain! Luckily, Junior covers the furniture...with the carpet. They finally get the carpet laid but it apparently shrinks when wet and is reduced to a tiny size! Again, all that trouble goes to waste!
