30 greatest movies of the 2010's
My top 30 of movies that have come out in the last 10 years. 2010-2019.
Not necessarily in this order. I have a hard time putting them in order, so it could easily change.
But it's definitely these films.
You may be a bit shocked at some of the films, i've put on here.
But obviously it's subjective, i've been a film fan since I was a kid, and these are just the movies that have touched me the most and stayed with me the last 10 years.
No hard feelings towards the movies not on the list that were amazing, it's just my personal opinion.
Hope you enjoy the list.

- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsLeonardo DiCaprioBrad PittMargot RobbieA faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles. One of my favorite movies of all time, it literally BLEW me away in the theatre.
I've seen it over 10 times on blu ray, after it came out.
It just touched me in a way, I seek to be touched by movies.
Im kinda sad about the reception it got.
But it's okay, that's how it is with movies.
The movie is just so personal to me, and represents the exact things I love, and have loved since I was a kid.
It's definitely Tarantino's most personal film, and I feel that!
AMAZING MOVIE.
Could talk about it for days.
PS: THIS IS LEONARDO'S BEST PERFORMANCE EVER! - DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsLeonardo DiCaprioJonah HillMargot RobbieBased on the true story of Jordan Belfort, from his rise to a wealthy stock-broker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government.Another masterpiece by LEO/SCORSESE.
An indulgence in sex, greed, money and drugs.
Such an amazing ride of a film.
You get sucked right into the story and that universe Scorsese creates so masterfully.
You can't help but kinda root for these guys, because their personalities are so intriguing and wild and dangerous.
You know it's WRONG, but it feels ever so right.
Love this movie!
- DirectorBennett MillerStarsBrad PittRobin WrightJonah HillOakland A's general manager Billy Beane's successful attempt to assemble a baseball team on a lean budget by employing computer-generated analysis to acquire new players.Probably the most underrated movie of the 2010's in my opinion, and Pitt's most underrated performance perhaps.
Although he did get a lot of recognition for it.
I DON'T feel that he got enough.
The movie is a masterpiece first of all, and everyone in the film is just amazing, it's such a sharp film, not a frame could be spared, and not a line could be cut.
One of the most perfect movies ever.
I dont know much about baseball, even though im interested in the sport, and I love baseball movies.
But this movie makes me forget that I dont know much about it, it sucks me right in, and I feel like im right there with the characters going through the ups and downs.
I'm there trading players with Brad, i'm there analysing statistics with Jonah.
And i'm there going through a crisis with an injury but experiencing a joyous moment of (a second chance) and a beautiful comeback with Chris Pratt.
MAN I LOVE THIS MOVIE. - DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsHugh JackmanJake GyllenhaalViola DavisWhen Keller Dover's daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts.Dark gritty crime film, by the amazing denis villeneuve, holy crap this movie is amazing.
best crime movie since se7en for sure.
Zodiac is up there also.
The performances are just gripping, to me Hugh Jackman steals the movie with his desperate frustrated performance as a father whose daughter has been kidnapped.
He should have gotten an oscar for his performance in this film for sure.
Usually Gyllenhaal steals the movie for me, but this is Hugh's film for sure.
Amazing ending as well.
- DirectorDavid FincherStarsJesse EisenbergAndrew GarfieldJustin TimberlakeAs Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, he is sued by the twins who claimed he stole their idea and by the co-founder who was later squeezed out of the business.Fincher is one of my favorite directors, so this one has to be on the list, amazing movie.
So intelligently made.
Jesse Eisenberg, shines in the movie.

Sorkins screenplay is LEGENDARY! - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsLeonardo DiCaprioJoseph Gordon-LevittElliot PageA thief who steals corporate secrets through the use of dream-sharing technology is given the inverse task of planting an idea into the mind of a C.E.O., but his tragic past may doom the project and his team to disaster.Just a masterpiece, it has to be on the list. One of Nolan's best films. Not my personal favorite of his though.
- DirectorDavid AyerStarsBrad PittShia LaBeoufLogan LermanA grizzled tank commander makes tough decisions as he and his crew fight their way across Germany in April, 1945.Once again, an amazingly underrated performance by Brad Pitt and an underrated film.
Such an amazing war film, that depicts the harshness of war, not done this well since Saving private Ryan in my opinion.
The last 40 minutes of the movie with the guys in the tank, is some of the most beautiful and gripping cinema ever made.
It gave me the feeling of the last hour in Jaws, when they sail out into the sea, and it's just those 3 guys.
The bond between the men, and their performances are so freaking good.
Loved it! - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsMatthew McConaugheyAnne HathawayJessica ChastainWhen Earth becomes uninhabitable in the future, a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans.Another Nolan masterpiece, the environment and the effects in the film is just groundbreaking.
The movie in bodies perfection in such a clear way.

What an achievement this is.
Definitely one of the greatest comic book movies ever put on film.
To me better than endgame, even though I love that as well.
This movie is just perfect in every way, and the ending is perfect. Don't want to spoil it, even though everyone on the planet has seen it.
But I was just so speechless when I saw the films, and all the times i've watched it since.
Amazing film making. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJamie FoxxChristoph WaltzLeonardo DiCaprioWith the help of a German bounty-hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi.Another Tarantino masterpiece for sure.
What a ride.
Awesome throwback to the old spaghetti westerns, that Tarantino loves so much.
Just an epic film, in the literal sense.
The scope of the film, is Tarantino's biggest for sure.
And it delivers all the way throughout the film.
Also another AMAZING performance by LEO.

SimmonsMelissa BenoistA promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.Thrilling movie from beginning to end, the finale of the film is one of the most exciting movies ever in a film, your hands a literally sweating, and your heart is pounding.

I know some people didn't care for it that much, but I just loved it.
It's fun from beginning to end.
It's sad it's heartfelt, and has a great message in the end.
It has TONS of references to pop culture, and amazing movies I LOVE.
I can't put a finger on anything. - DirectorAri AsterStarsToni ColletteMilly ShapiroGabriel ByrneA grieving family is haunted by tragic and disturbing occurrences. One of the scariest movies i've ever seen, in terms of pure dread from beginning to end.
It's just so disturbing.
Never seen a horror film like it.
Some people apparently find some of the horror moments comical, I couldn't disagree less.
I found the movie frightening.
And beautifully crafted.
The cinematography and production design of the film, was groundbreaking.
Such an underrated film.
Ari aster is just a genius, can't wait to see his future projects.
I loved midsommar as well, but not quite as much. - DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsLeonardo DiCaprioEmily MortimerMark RuffaloTeddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, two US marshals, are sent to an asylum on a remote island in order to investigate the disappearance of a patient, where Teddy uncovers a shocking truth about the place.Another classic by Scorsese, a throwback to old B-movies in a way. And what a great salute it is.
Mixed with a compelling mystery, and great actors. What's not to like.
The ending is also just a classic ending, up there with the very best of all time.
The could only have been made by Scorsese, it's such a tightly constructed film, that is made by man that lives and breathes CINEMA. - DirectorLasse HallströmStarsHelen MirrenOm PuriManish DayalThe Kadam family leaves India for France where they open a restaurant directly across the road from Madame Mallory's Michelin-starred eatery.Little underrated pearl of a film.
I have a weak spot in my heart for Lasse hallström movies.

Has to be on my list.
The movie has that feel good vibe I just love in movies.
Jon Favreau is a very underrated guy, in my opinion.
The bond between the father and son, and how the food brings them together is just touching.
You see the guy struggle with bad reviews and so forth, but in the end he realises it doesn't matter, he had all we will ever need right in front of him.
He didn't need the fancy restaurant, a food truck was enough to show him the values of life.
Life affirming film for sure. - DirectorLee UnkrichStarsTom HanksTim AllenJoan CusackThe toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home.Such a sweet movie, again WHAT AN ENDING.

The movie makes me smile every time, it also makes me sad.
Again just packed with emotions.
People probably see it as a silly comedy, because of its facade.
But I disagree so much.
One of the more deeper films, i've ever seen.
Go back and see the film, and just look at the characters and what they go through.
Man, this movie is a masterpiece.
And the 3 leads, all did an amazing job in the film.
I was speechless the first time I saw it, and has been all the time i've seen it sense.
If you haven't seen the film, I strongly urge you to pick it up immediately.
Never has birding been this exciting.
