Banshee - Season 2 Review
Season review - 8.5-great
Highlight episode - Evil for Evil
This season improved upon the first with great character work with Hood and Carrie, and I especially appreciated outside characters like Emmett and Siobhan were able to get their chance to shine. The first half was a lot slower that the second, however, that's not to say it wasn't just as enjoyable. Proctor was cool this season and although him and Rebecca's incestuous vibes creep me out, them as a pair is always good. The finale was pretty awesome too, the way they juxtaposed the flashbacks with the present day events very nicely done. Rabbit also went out in a quietly great scene, too. The final 15 minutes or so were completely rushed, though, a character like Emmett who was previously given such a compelling characterization after the events in Evil for Evil is just gunned down in what seems like a throwaway scene. I liked the way he accepted his fate an' all but the show didn't need to charge into it and would have been better off saving it for the opening episodes of season 3 along with Longshadow's death - which was actually pretty awesome regardless. Overall, though, this show continues to deliver the best action on TV and all that's left to say is...Job better come back.
