Adriana was born into an operatic family. Her father Guido, an immigrant from Italy, taught music in New York City. Her mother Maria, originally from Naples, sang at the Royal Opera. Her sister Louise was a noted opera singer & voice teacher. At 18, she was chosen by Walt Disney to voice Snow White in his first full-length animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). He had been looking for a fresh as well as natural voice & asked her father if any of his students might be suitable. Upon hearing Adriana's voice, he realized his search was over. In the days of studio contracts & indenture, Walt wanted to keep the mystery of Snow White's voice, so except for a bit part in The Wizard of Oz (1939), she didn't do any other film work. When Jack Benny wished to have her appear on his radio show, Walt refused-he owned the voice & it couldn't be used anywhere else. She tried opera singing, invested in real estate & the stock market while living a full life.- Actress

Anne Parillaud was born in Paris, France on May 6, 1960 and even though all her travels took her to many lands, is still a Paris resident. Anne studied ballet in school, and her first appearance was in the film Un amour de sable (1977) where she played "La jeune fille avec un petit chat" ("The girl with a kitten"). However, her first real role was as "Estelle" in L'hôtel de la plage (1978) and, even though she had only appeared in this film during summer vacation, by then she had caught the show business bug. Anne was in eight other films, and then she gave her breakout performance in her signature role as "Nikita" in the wildly popular La Femme Nikita (1990), which spun off the American remake Point of No Return (1993) starring Bridget Fonda, and the USA Network television series La Femme Nikita (1997) starring Peta Wilson. Anne had taken judo lessons for three months to prepare for this part. Anne said that when acting, she can abandon herself; indeed the character Nikita is nothing like her. Anne hates guns and even said of Nikita: "For a while, she was in me like a demon".
When it comes to which films and directors to work with, Anne has her one rule: it must touch her heart. Obviously director Luc Besson touched her heart, they had a daughter together, but the couple separated shortly after La Femme Nikita (1990); (in 1997, Besson was briefly married to Milla Jovovich, but they divorced). Anne traveled to America to do several films, including Innocent Blood (1992), in which she plays a French vampire. She said of her character "Marie", that she wasn't born a vampire, didn't decide to be one; in that sense, the movie is a parable about dealing with the problem of being different in society. And difference equates to loneliness. Anne is still busy appearing in movies. Offscreen, Anne enjoys simple pleasures such as dancing, and talking with friends. And she is always led by her heart, Anne says she is someone who lives by impulse first. Her many fans would say it seems she has made a lot of right choices.- From commercials to Disney Channel star, Aryan Simhadri has had a whirlwind career spanning over more than a decade. This energetic and outgoing kid was scouted at the age of 4 after moving to CA. As he quickly fell in love with the art, his talents were first recognized in National Commercials for "KMart" and "Toyota". From there his talent bloomed into multiple Commercials and television roles over the next few years from CBS's "Seal Team", "Teachers", "Angie Tribeca", "Gamers Guide to Pretty Much Everything", "Will & Grace" and many more. He got his break in Movies with Netflix/WWE movie "THE MAIN EVENT", for which he won his first YAA Award (Young Artist Academy) for BEST ACTOR in a Streaming Movie. Most recently he has been seen as the lead in Disney Channel's original movie, "SPIN," the first to feature a South East Asian-Indian cast as the leads and Disney+ reboot of "CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN" alongside Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union.
Continuing to work on his craft, his improv skills were finely tuned when he was cast on Disney's "Just Roll With It" where the audience chose what happened in the scenes, and the actors must -Just roll with it. He has also extended his reach into voice-over work, where you can hear him in movies like "The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run". He also lends his voice to Paramount Television's "Adventures in Wonder Park" as 'Banky' and most recently, the role of 'Tiffany' in the award winning "Adventure Time" series television movie "Distant Lands" and Disney's "Mira, The Royal Detective".
He truly is an all-rounder as he forayed into BROADWAY in New York City as Walter in TREVOR-THE MUSICAL, which had a successful run and gained ubiquitous recognition and appreciation. It has been recorded for and streaming in Disney+
His passion for the work, as well as meeting his fellow cast and crew members, radiates more every day, and he shows no signs of slowing down. As an amateur magician, Aryan has a few surprises up his sleeve for 2024, as he will star in the Disney+ series of "Percy Jackson" as GROVER. - Actor

Somehow, this fell through, though she continued to nurture a lifelong interest in the legal profession which kept her reading law books well into her acting career. Perhaps on the advice of her flatmate Jean Hardwicke (niece of the famous thespian Cedric), Elizabeth attended a theatrical audition and thereafter went on to study acting at RADA and at the Bristol Old Vic. Beginning in 1941, she spent several years on the repertory stage in her native Scotland before making her London debut five years later opposite Alec Guinness in "The Brothers Karamazov". Her first major hit was at the West End in "Tea and Sympathy" in the role of the housemaster's wife. Elizabeth's career in British films spanned the years from 1948 to 1960. Following her marriage to Francis Austin Henley, a consultant gastrointestinal surgeon at the Central Middlesex Hospital, her appearances became rather less frequent though she continued to pop up from time to time on the small screen.
Elizabeth was a reluctant star. Often dissatisfied with the material on offer, she once lamented "we're expected to sink back into the background and look nice". Between 1951 and 1952, she took a sabbatical for nearly a year to travel through Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka) where she developed a great fondness for Oriental philosophy, art and spicy curries (to add to her other pastimes of studying Roman law, horse riding and swimming). She did manage to fit a film career into her busy schedule and this encompassed a number of noteworthy performances, often as wily, faithless or jilted wives or 'the other woman'. A fruitful sojourn in Hollywood led to back-to-back appearances in The Barefoot Contessa (1954) (as Humphrey Bogart's wife), Désirée (1954) (as Julie Clary, Bonaparte's sister-in-law) and Prince of Players (1955) (as Asia Booth, sister of Edwin Thomas and John Wilkes). Her best acting was reserved for the British cinema with gritty roles in The Shiralee (1957) and (as an alcoholic mother) in The Hireling (1973). Of her role in The Stranger in Between (1952), a London journalist described her as having "lashings of glamour of a breathless, brooding type usually reserved for sultry Hollywood." While perhaps not a beauty in the conventional sense, she projected intelligence, wit and often humour which made her a favourite with British movie audiences in the 50s. The director Charles Crichton thought her personality resembled the "early allure of Ingrid Bergman and the power of Bette Davis."
During the 60s, Elizabeth alternated between TV work and the stage. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon she proved her mettle as a serious actress in the classics, notably "Troilus and Cressida" (as Helen), "Hamlet" (as Gertrude) and "Richard III" (as Queen Elizabeth). She retired in 1990 and passed away in France at the venerable age of 98 on December 30 2019. - Actress

Emily Atef was born on 6 May 1973 in Berlin, Germany. She is a director and writer, known for More Than Ever (2022), 3 Days in Quiberon (2018) and Das Fremde in mir (2008).- Dark, rugged and exceedingly good-looking, Italian actor Ettore Manni was a familiar presence in Neopolitan romancers and costumers. He also gave added stature to a number of peplum films and spaghetti westerns of the 1960s. On screen from 1952, he appeared in over 100 films in his close to three-decade career. Popular in his native country, he played opposite Italy's most scintillating leading ladies in his early movies -- Sophia Loren, Eleonora Rossi Drago and Gianna Maria Canale, to name a few, often playing the continental lover.
Manni was born on May 6, 1927, in Rome, Italy, and came to films in 1952 with La tratta delle bianche (1952) [Frustrations] starring Rossi-Drago in which he was third billed. In 1952 and 1953 he was handed prime leads and supports in the Carlo Ponti/Dino De Laurentiis productions of I tre corsari (1952) [The Three Pirates], Fratelli d'Italia (1952), The Devil Is a Woman (1953) and The Ship of Damned Women (1953) the last two co-starring Kerima and May Britt. Ponti also paired Manni opposite his sultry-eyed wife Sophia Loren in Two Nights with Cleopatra (1954) playing Marc Antony to Loren's Cleopatra.
Other strong roles followed for Manni. He played the brother of Anthony Quinn's Attila (1954), and was reunited with Rossi-Drago in both Donne sole (1956) and The Girlfriends (1955), as well as with both Kerima and May Britt in Fatal Desire (1953). The quality of Manni's films declined into the late 50s and 60s but he found himself quite busy in such lowbudget fare as The Warrior and the Slave Girl (1958), The Pirate of the Black Hawk (1958) and Diez fusiles esperan (1959). He also appeared opposite lovely Linda Cristal's Cleopatra in Legions of the Nile (1959) and the equally fetching Debra Paget as Daughter of Cleopatra (1960).
Sword-and-sandal spectacles became the rage during this time and Manni took full advantage with supporting roles in Hercules and the Captive Women (1961) starring Reg Park as the muscular titan, Hercules and the Masked Rider (1963), Hercules, Prisoner of Evil (1964) and Giants of Rome (1964) with Richard Harrison as the muscled hero. Manni also jumped on the "spaghetti western" bandwagon years later with appearances in the films Ringo and His Golden Pistol (1966), Fort Yuma Gold (1966), The Stranger Returns (1967), Johnny Colt (1966), Ed ora... raccomanda l'anima a Dio! (1968), I Am Sartana, Your Angel of Death (1969) and Inginocchiati straniero... I cadaveri non fanno ombra! (1970).
Outside of Italy, Manni, who grew stockier in later years, could be found playing priests and officer parts. He appeared as Jason in a couple of the popular French "Angelique" series with Untamable Angelique (1967) and Angelique and the Sultan (1968). Manni also lent support to a number of imported American/British male leads past their prime who found headlining work in Italy. These included The Valiant (1962) starring John Mills, Attack of the Normans (1962) starring Cameron Mitchell, Gold for the Caesars (1963) starring Jeffrey Hunter; War of the Zombies (1964) starring John Drew Barrymore, The Battle of El Alamein (1969) with Frederick Stafford, and in Incontro d'amore (1970) with John Steiner. A supreme showcase role came his way during this period when he appeared opposite Jeanne Moreau in Mademoiselle (1966).
In the early 1970s, Manni met gorgeous Austrian-born actress Krista Nell, who had leads and second leads in French and Italian films. Although they did not marry, they became longtime companions. They showed up together in the films Django and Sartana Are Coming... It's the End (1970) Les libertines (1970) and Karzan, il favoloso uomo della jungla (1972). Sadly, Nell was diagnosed with leukemia and lost her battle against the disease in Rome in 1975. She was only 28.
The grief-stricken Manni suffered from chronic depression following her death but continued to work in Italy, appearing in Risking (1976), Oh, Serafina! (1976), The Rip-Off (1977), Silver Saddle (1978), Il malato immaginario (1979), La verdad sobre el caso Savolta (1980), along with many TV projects.
Much now has been said over the controversy of the actor's untimely death on July 27, 1979 in Rome. It was originally believed that the 52-year-old Manni, an avid gun collector, accidentally shot himself in the groin while cleaning or handling a gun. It is now believed he committed suicide. His final film, Federico Fellini's City of Women (1980) in which he supported Marcello Mastroianni, was released posthumously. - Ahn Eun-jin was born on 6 May 1991. She is an actress, known for Hospital Playlist (2020), My Dearest (2023) and The Night Owl (2022).

Frank Nelson was a versatile character talent who had one of those instantly identifiable faces which could made you laugh as soon as you saw him, then he would open his mouth and you would start laughing all over again! The short statured comedic veteran with his trademark trimmed mustache and patented vocal catchphrase ("Eeeeee-yeeeeeeesss?") went on to tickle the audience funny bone on film, TV, radio and in voiceovers for over six decades. These distinct mannerisms and personality quirks would often be parodied on TV and in animated features. Seen here, there and everywhere, especially in the 50s and 60s TV, Frank usually playing a sardonic, pop-eyed, hot-tempered foil to the likes of TV's top comedic crème de la crème like Jack Benny and Lucille Ball.
Born Frank Brandon Nelson on May 6, 1911, he would start on Denver radio as an announcer at age 15. At age 18, Nelson decided to try his luck in Hollywood and found immediate work in local radio dramatic shows, usually playing the leading man! His first popular effort that reached a national market was in 1932 with the sitcom radio program "Flywheel, Shyster, and Flywheel" which starred Groucho Marx and Chico Marx. Other "leading man" vocals included "The Three Musketeers" and "Calling All Cars."
In 1936, Frank entered films playing uncredited announcer parts in such films as in Fugitive in the Sky (1936), Black Legion (1937), Hold 'Em Navy (1937), International Crime (1938) and Gang Bullets (1938), however little came from it and he kept his focus on war-time radio. After scores and scores of radio voices, Frank's malleable mug finally earned "second banana" popularity as the put-upon foil to Jack Benny on Benny's highly popular radio show. Nelson first started working on the show years earlier in the late 1930's but eventually was given a regular role playing various flustered or disdainful customer service types. He provided a wide range of vocals on the finest radio shows of the day such as "The Great Gildersleeve," "Burns and Allen Show," ''Fibber McGee and Molly," "The Bing Crosby Show," "The Eddie Cantor Show," "The Bob Hope Show" and "Abbott and Costello," each and every one making jolly use of his droll, squealing voice and "slow burn" comic takes. He could be a standout in even the tiniest of servile/professional roles
Despite obvious talents in dramatic fare, on camera, Frank would be best known for his comic support. Often appearing as a fastidious clerk, agent, boss, neighbor or, of course, announcer), post WWII films would include Down Memory Lane (1949), The Milkman (1950), You Never Can Tell (1951), Bonzo Goes to College (1952), Remains to Be Seen (1953), It Should Happen to You (1954) and Kiss Them for Me (1957). In 1949, he appeared in the short film So You Want to Get Rich Quick (1949) and added his special brand of hilarity to several others in the Joe McDoakes "So You Want to..." comedy series starring George O'Hanlon.
A charter member of AFRA (American Federation of Radio Artists) in 1937 (before it became AFTRA (AmericanFederation of Radio and Television Artists), Frank served as AFTRA's president from 1954 to 1957 and was a guiding force in securing decent pension plans for actors. Frank tackled many sitcoms in his time, which culminated in his fifteen-year stay as a regular on The Jack Benny Program (1950) and as a returning guest artist year after year on I Love Lucy (1951). He also amusingly appeared as several different characters on several episodes of Our Miss Brooks (1952), The Danny Thomas Show (1953) and Sanford and Son (1972). Moreover, for the first few years of I Love Lucy (1951), he appeared in various beleaguered roles, but towards the end of the series' run, Frank and another prominent voice from radio's "Golden Age," Mary Jane Croft, were hired for recurring roles as the Ricardo's Connecticut neighbors, Frank and Betty Ramsey. He also guested on such popular comedy shows as "Blondie," "Private Secretary," "The Real McCoys," "Pete and Gladys," "The Lucy Show," "The Addams Family," "Petticoat Junction" and "Alice."
As for vocal animation, Frank offered various voices for such 60's cartoons as "Mr. Magoo," but was best utilized by the Hanna-Barbera team, notably The Flintstones (1960) and The Jetsons (1962). He also provided the voice of "Uncle Dudley" in the 70's Dinky Dog (1978) animated series, while adding brief vocal flavor to such cartoons as "Calvin and the Colonel," "Bozo the Clown," "The Smurfs" and "Garfield and Friends." Towards the end of his life, Frank's voice appeared frequently on the 80's animated series Snorks (1984)
The veteran voice's well-known catchphrase was utilized in McDonald's commercials during the 1980s. Frank married twice -- to character actresses, Mary Lansing (whom he met on radio and bore him two children), and then Veola Vonn, who also appeared on Lucy's sitcom. Diagnosed with cancer during the late summer of 1985, Frank died a year later in Los Angeles on September 12, 1986, at age 75. He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.- Actress

Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe, the star of Precious (2009), was born in the Bedford-Stuyvesant community in Brooklyn, New York. Her mother, Alice Tan Ridley, is a former special education teacher who gave up her career and became a street performer/singer, while her father, Ibnou Sidibe, is a cab driver. Her mother is African-American and her father is Senegalese. Her parents split when she was a youngster and Gabby grew up in Harlem. Though she was cast in school plays as a child, Sidibe had no interest in acting. She had witnessed her mother's financial struggles as a street singer and wanted the security that an education and a desk job would give her. After attending local colleges, Gabby pursued a degree in psychology at Mercy College. She was in the middle of preparing for an exam when a friend phoned her about an audition for the newest effort from Lee Daniels, Precious (2009).
Instead of attending class, she ended up being cast in the title role as Claireece "Precious" Jones, a taciturn, sixteen year-old who is pregnant for the second time after being raped by her father and is also on the receiving end of constant physical abuse by her mother. As grim as the subject matter is, Precious (2009) has become critical success and a source of inspiration for many. While her co-stars, Mo'Nique and Mariah Carey have both received a great deal of critical attention, it is Gabby who is the revelation as Precious, a character whose personality is quite different from her own. Anyone expecting a damaged young woman with no self-esteem is in for a shock after meeting the charming Sidibe. She hopes that her success in the film will motivate others to chase their dreams.
Precious (2009) has opened other doors for Sidibe. She has also completed shooting Yelling to the Sky (2011), a project from the Sundance Lab that also stars Zoë Kravitz and has other projects in the works.- Actress

Clooney received critical acclaim for his performance in Up in the Air (2009) and was nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe Award and Academy Award. He didn't win that year, but took home both Best Actor awards (as well as countless nominations) for his role as a father who finds out his wife was unfaithful as she lays in a coma in Alexander Payne's The Descendants (2011). Clooney was married to actress Talia Balsam, from 1989 until 1993. After their divorce, he swore he would never marry again. Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman bet him $10,000 that he would have children by the age of 40, and sent him a check shortly after his birthday. Country-folk singer/songwriter Jimmie Dale Gilmore is best known for his unusual fusion of traditional honky-tonk, Hank Williams-ish country stylings with lyrics influenced by Eastern mysticism and philosophy. Born and raised among country musicians in the Texas panhandle, Gilmore grew up in Lubbock, a city known for its university and surrounded by 100 miles of dusty cotton fields; a place that has produced some of Texas' most critically acclaimed musicians, including the great Buddy Holly, the singer Mac Davis, folk songstress Nanci Griffith, Dixie Chick Natalie Maines, country superstar Waylon Jennings, Jesse "Guitar" Taylor, and Gilmore's friends and collaborators, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock. Part Cherokee, Gilmore's look and style have always been somewhat unusual for the honky-tonk milieu. Gilmore briefly attempted a music career after high school, forming the now-legendary Flatlanders with Hancock and Ely, but by 1974 his growing interest in spirituality led him to leave Texas behind - and music along with it - to join a Taoist community in Denver, Colorado. In the '80s, having developed an aesthetic that merged his love of country with his spiritual interests, Gilmore moved to Austin, Texas to re-initiate his music career, and within a few months was playing regularly around town. He released two independent label records in the late '80s before Elektra released his breakthrough album "Spinning Around the Sun" in 1993. The album made numerous end-of-the-year 'best of' lists in the media, and Gilmore's career was given an extra boost by high profile fans such as David Letterman and Natalie Merchant. Gilmore's reputation was further enhanced by the reissue of an out-of-print Flatlanders record made in Nashville in 1972, released by Rounder records in 1991 under the title 'More a Legend Than a Band.' He has continued to release solo records, and in 2002, reunited with high school buddies Butch Hancock and Joe Ely (the Bruce Springsteen of Texas), to reform the Flatlanders.
Gilmore's first film appearance was a brief cameo in 1993's 'The Thing Called Love,' an account of young singer/songwriters trying to break into the Nashville music scene, directed by Peter Bogdanovich and starring then-unknown Sandra Bullock and River Phoenix in one of his final roles. In 1996, Gilmore was recruited by his producer, T-Bone Burnett, to appear in the new Coen Brothers film, 'The Big Lebowski,' on which Burnett was also working as musical director (One of the world's foremost authorities on traditional American music, Burnett has collaborated on several Coen films, and was largely responsible for the massively successful 'O Brother, Where Art Thou' soundtrack). Gilmore appears as Smokey, the 'pacifist' bowler whom John Goodman's Walter threatens to shoot for allegedly stepping 'over the line' when throwing a strike. The inside joke, of course, is that, as a practicing Taoist, Gilmore is himself a pacifist. Gilmore was also recruited by fan and friend Billy Bob Thornton to contribute to the soundtrack and appear briefly in "Monster's Ball" singing in a honky-tonk; he has also contributed original music for the soundtrack of Robert Redford's "The Horse Whisperer."- Joanna Dunham was born on 6 May 1936 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, UK. Lars was born in Gladsaxe near Copenhagen, Denmark as the first child of Bente Christiansen, an occupational health nurse, and Henning Mikkelsen, a bank clerk. Lars grew up in Copenhagen, where about one and a half years after him brother Mads was born, who's also an actor now. At first the family lived in the middle class district Østerbro but later they moved on to the working class district Nørrebro.
During his childhood Lars played handball and sang a few years in the school choir. On a New Year's Eve party 1985/86 he met Anette Støvelbæk and since then both have been a couple (their marriage followed in October 1989).
After his school days Lars joined the military services, where he did his basic military service for nine months in the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. The military service wasn't the right thing, so he searched for something new after having finished it and decided then to study biology. When he was busy with this already a half year, Anette came home from a juggler class and showed him how good she could juggle after three days. Lars was pleased about it and wanted to do this, too. So he dropped out of college and enrolled to the juggler school as well. At this school he learned juggling and fire breathing among other things. Afterwards he toured with two friends as traveling artists through Europe, where they performed on streets of cities like Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. Two years later he came in contact with a children's circus, where he additionally learned pantomime as well as street and children's theater.
At the age of 27 and after having been five years on the road as a juggler, Lars decided to become a real actor. So he applied at the Statens Teaterskole (National Theatre School of Denmark) in Copenhagen, where he was accepted and where from 1991-1995 he carried through his acting training. Shortly afterwards he got already his debut as an actor in the play "Dracula" at the Aalborg Theater. Since his graduation from the theater school Lars has appeared in more than 40 plays up to now (2012) and he has always wanted to keep on acting onstage. Again and again he was to be seen in movies and TV series. With his role in the successful Danish crime series Forbrydelsen (2007) (The Killing), playing the mayoral candidate "Troels Hartmann", he received even more awareness. This led to roles in international productions, such as the villain in an episode of the British series Sherlock (2010), the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the third season of House of Cards (2013) and a leading role in the international crime series The Team (2015). For some of his performances in movies, films or plays he has received various nominations and awards so far.
