Stand Up Comedians

I'm just adding the good ones and ranking as I go. Don't get peeved if I missed a favourite, I'll probably get to it in time.

1. Norm MacDonald

Actor | Billy Madison

MacDonald was born Norman Gene MacDonald in Québec City, Québec on October 17, 1959. He began his career in stand-up comedy. MacDonald's first job was writing for The Dennis Miller Show (1992) and then Roseanne (1988). While writing for Roseanne (1988), he was noticed by Lorne Michaels, who liked ...

His voice! The stupid fake shocked reaction to random nonsense. his propensity to turn any anecdote into a Shaggy Dog regardless of how he starts it. Dry, cynical, sarcarstic, sometimes crude, but always childish and winking. Missing every single beat sometimes, to make a joke out of how he's butchering a joke. My personal favourite comedian ever.

Not even mentioning his SNL stuff (Weekend Update) and his movies Dirty Work and Screwed.

Earned near top spot with his jukebox joke. My single biggest laugh out loud moment from stand-up so far. Extra credit for him sustaining the joke over minutes.

Third spot because unlike the first two, he doesn't really tell "jokes". The joke with him is the reluctance he puts across. Like he doesn't really want to say out loud the things he's saying. All his shows have an air of listening in on someone's confessions. He cringes along with a sort of pseudo shame and it makes it more of an experience than anything else.
