He's back!! He's the historic Creature from the Black Lagoon on the Amazon River in South America and once again he is in 3D. This sequel includes an uncredited Clint Eastwood in his very first screen appearance. He makes a short subplot as a lab tech who erroneously blames a cat for the disappearance of a lab rat that he has actually put in his pocket. Short and sweet but a start all the same.

A good solid old fashioned movie about the misfortunes of a divided Europe during the onset of the cold war. Family members often found themselves on the wrong side. This is a real tear jerker and I bet you will love it.

Director: Arthur Lubin | Stars: Ginger Rogers, Barry Nelson, Carol Channing, David Brian
Votes: 808
For Clint Eastwood, who plays Carol Channing's beau, the film offered him his first substantial speaking part in a movie. Director Arthur Lubin, who had directed Eastwood in uncredited roles in Lady Godiva of Coventry (1955) and the "Francis the Talking Mule" spin-off Francis in the Navy (1955), even gave Eastwood "introducing" billing in this film. But though he was described as "very attractive" by the Hollywood Reporter, any positive benefit was quickly lost in the picture's less-than-spectacular reviews. Clint Eastwood is Lt. Jack Rice, Roughrider.

User Review Good Attempt at healing US/Japanese relations!! 19 May 2003 | by olddiscs (Fords,NJ) Pleasant family fare which also makes an attempt to understand the Japanese & their culture..Attempts might seem dated now but in 1957 Pearl Harbor was still fresh in the minds of Americans..This film tries to overcome the animosities between the nations..Harmless, pleasant well paced and well acted..Jon Provost was a very good young actor.. as was the oriental young boy (sorry don't know his name). Watch for young Eastwood as pilot of a rescue plane sent out to search for the downed airliner.

The plot of "Lafayette Escadrille" is not dissimilar to the 2006 film Flyboys, which also tells the story of the Escadrille as background to an unrequited love story, while dealing with some of the lesser-known elements of the squadron's history. "Rawhide" .... (217 episodes, 1959-1965)
The series was based on three sources. (1) 1955 Cattle Empire, (2) Chisholm Trail (the inspiration for the John Wayne film, Red River) and (3) another source of inspiration for Rawhide was a diary that was written by trail boss George C. Duffield during a cattle drive from San Antonio to Sedalia in 1866. The narrations with which Gil Favor begins each episode are similar in style and breadth to the entries in Duffield's journal, lending the show an extra measure of authenticity
