based on an amazing Japanese novel, which in turn was made into a 13 volume manga series, and a film with sequel. Although not as deep, descript, or even as violent as the book or manga, still disturbin to watch high school students have it with each other. Hooray for hormones!

this film perfectly shows the atrocities of imperial japan and how it's Unit 731 caused so much pain and suffering to the Chinese and Russain people. From evisceration, high pressure chambers, degloving deeply frozen limbs, to tossing a cat to a room full of rats, this movie churns.

although i consider this an entirely different entity from the previous entry, it nonetheless paints a crimson canvas of what went down during the "Nanking Massacre". honestly, a sleeper fave of mine. A short movie, small set, and small cast, the violence visited on the enemies of Milly are brutal and calculated. When the bad guys butcher your family in front of you while getting your innards scrambled and torn out of you along with getting your breasts carved off, even more while watching your infant child get set on fire and thrown around the room, you'd go get some.

no one just gets "hurt" in this film. just about every wound here is fatal if not outright gutterly violent. Even when the younger brother is being flogged in public, it's a bloody violent affair. okay, i know no one would suspect this being a childrens movie based off a childrens book. But don't let any of that fool you, this movie will traumatize any small children who view it. A very rich animation where every mannerism of rabbits is captured, a moving and suspenseful plot with interesting characters even for rabbits, the violence is quite shocking for this movie. Rabbits war with each other, tear ears ups, claw faces, eyes, stomachs, bite open throats, the amount of blood in this film is worth at least a PG-13 and not the misleading PG.

i think the most brutal moments in this film have to be when Hitgirl is getting her ass handed to her by a grown adult. Just someting about grown men cracking little girls in the face over and over just doesn't sit well with me. Oh well, bastard gets his, next movie!

one of the best prequels ever made, it fits in canonically with the first film, where scenes and events explain unexplained ones in the previous film, and with todays technology and special effects, the creatures, mutations, and fusion are all even more chiling and disgusting.

yeah, believe it or not, this movie is pretty grim for a PG creature feature. FOr one, EVERY CHARACTER IN THIS MOVIE DIES. Not only are they killed off by mohter nature and the animals on this hellish island, but they're either horrifically violent (mauled and chewed up by alligators), sadistic (woman is chased by wild animals into a leech pond and then into a viper nest where she his bitten to death) or just plain dumb (woman gets foot stuck in sand bar and a slow swimming turtle kills her). Either way, this movie makes you wanna drop gallons of agent orange onto the swamps and forests of this film if it kills these devilish beasts

i'd recommend the orignal subtitle version, the english dubbing is horrid just by the simple fact they gave Riki a michael jackson pitched voice. SO much over the top violence and brutality i can't begin where to start. I guess a good example is when a guy gets his eye smacked out of his head, so he guts himself with a knife and tries to strangle Riki with his own innards.
