The aristocratic fiancée is in reality a crook, and is going to throw the safe out of the window, his partner in crime shall be prepared, when he hears him howling like a dog at midnight. Charley tells the girl that he will be ready for her eloping at midnight and the signal is him howling like a dog...

He thinks his wife has been sent off to the country and he'll have a quiet evening by himself at home, but neither of those assumptions proves correct. Typical farce ensues as the woman hides under the bed, Charlie contends with the jealous husband, and Charlie's wife unexpectedly turns up.

Tiger confesses, after the fight, to Ruby his role in the jewel robbery while she hints that Ace was the one who slipped him the knock-out drops. Tiger goes after Ace, who, for his own reasons, has Molly locked in a closet.
