The gags and humour are easily one of the best aspects of the film (along with the flawless animation). They manage to stay refined and relevant to their characters and situations. This is to the point that they even hold up the whole second act of the story. Overall, its probably a lot more enjoyable for teens, especially with the more risqué areas of the script. ” - ollierimmer

Sam Raimi's direction was perfect for what could have been another Alice In Wonderland. The film paces itself well and progresses in a way that doesn't leave its audience behind, yet noticeable enough to create a truly epic tone. If only the characters had a bit more oomph to match their melodrama, Oz would be a knock-out. Yet, it stayed faithful enough to the 1939 film and twists its original themes to create a hugely enjoyable and rich experience. ” - ollierimmer
