1.
Penélope Cruz
Known outside her native country as the "Spanish enchantress", Penélope Cruz Sánchez was born in Madrid to Eduardo Cruz, a retailer, and Encarna Sánchez, a hairdresser. As a toddler, she was already a compulsive performer, re-enacting TV commercials for her family's amusement, but she decided to focus her energies on dance...
“ Naturally, Penelope Cruz was at the World Premiere of "To Rome With Love", held at the LA Film Festival, in which she gives another impeccable performance. I had great seats at the theater, which were right near the entrance she came in from for the Q&A. Being a big PC fan, I took the opportunity to snap a picture. Despite this being an appearance, she didn't take too kindly to this and gave me a nasty look, which of course I captured on camera. That will always be the day that Penelope Cruz gave me the stink eye. ” - Yamsine

2.

Adam Richard Sandler was born September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, to Judith (Levine), a teacher at a nursery school, and Stanley Alan Sandler, an electrical engineer. “ Is there a nicer celebrity out there? Years ago, I was walking across the street to the Sports Club LA and spotted Adam walking there as well. He saw me spot him and smile, and even though he got there before I did, he waited and held the door open for me. I've heard he's one of the nicest guys in Hollywood and I believe it. This made me really happy because I've always been a very vocal Adam Sandler fan. (I mean, hello! Have you SEEN "Big Daddy"?) ” - Yamsine

3.
“ Nia Vardalos is truly one of my heroes and I've met her twice. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" perfectly captures the immigrant experience and I can probably quote the entire film because I've seen it so many times. The first time I met her was back in 2001 or 2002 right after "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was released. We both happened to be at the same restaurant (and she was there with John Corbett). I saw her and I said "Hiiiii", much like her character Toula would have in the movie. (Almost like I was her own private Greek statue.) The second time I met her was at Sundance 2012, when she attended with a film she was in, "For a Good Time, Call". It was at the after-party and I told her how big a fan I am and snapped a picture (which was later lost when my phone had a meltdown and lost all my data and pictures). We had a great conversation and she is simply lovely. You know when you're just happy for some people because of their success? That's how I feel about her. ” - Yamsine
