Director: Ang Lee | Stars: Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain, Tabu

This is a story of bravery, faith and hope. I couldn't stop watching the whole time and I never stopped to pause the movie. The relationship that Pi has with the tiger was something that is unparalleled to the relationships that some people have with each other. Ang Lee did an amazing job with this movie. I love stories of hope like this one. Miles better than cast away.

Director: Quentin Tarantino | Stars: Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington

The best movie of the year. Perfect screen play. The conversations that the characters had in this movie were funny and very interesting. Awesome action. Every scene had something special about it and there were no crappy fill in scenes. The music was perfect and fun to listen too. Even the old timey text used in the opening credits and end credits I thought was really cool. It brought you into the 1860's and you really thought you were there watching it all happen.

Probably just the first 10 minutes of this movie actually involved Washington in a plane; What happened through the next two hours of the movie was what was so fascinating. Washington has once again, an amazing performance. I think it is worthy of at least an oscar nomination, although he won't get nominated. Inside and out the story was great and unexpected through out. The ending threw me for a loop and so did the rest of the movie. Great film.

I was really surprised by this movie. I was waiting to watch it because to me it just looked like some guy in a bed that couldn't move the entire time. Thats basically what it was if you are a person that shows no emotion. This movie had much more than that. Helen Hunt was really good in this movie and so was the guy in the bed, cant remember his name and dont feel like looking...He did a great job though of just laying there the whole time and basically getting whacked off over and over again.

I took forever to finally commit two and a half hours of my life to watch this movie. I would say about an hour of that was worth living while watching this movie. I had already watched 3 movies and watching a 2 and a half hour movie where there is only talking was probably not the best idea. Having said that some may think this rating is a little low for a movie that may win best picture. Spielberg and his directing are second to none. Its truly amazing. This movie was full of dialog and to make a movie pertaining this subject the writing better be superb and it was. There wasn't one conversation that wasn't perfectly written. Acting was also very good. Lewis does deserve best actor for this although I wish it could be Pi from life of Pie or the tiger but they don't nominate people like that...Oh wait they do. *beep* Hushpuppy. Life doesn't make sense. Anyways this was a pretty amazing movie. What made it good for me were the scenes in House. All the representitives going at it again and again were really cool to watch. Its just too bad all they showed in the end was his kid that was stupid like Carl from the walking dead freaking out and grabbing the rails at the theater when he heard Lincoln was shot instead of actually showing Lincoln get his head pounded in with a bullet. Would have at least given the movie a 30 second sequence of action.

I had always heard good things about this movie and I took me way too long to see it. I was really excited to see that it had been put on Netflix. I really had no idea what it was about going into it, but I loved what it ended up being. It was really cool to see all four characters do something important that they all needed in their lives. In the end each of them did something that changed them and thats what was really cool. The movie wasn't just about one person but all of them in their own different ways. It was a great story and the end is what made it for me. You were never sure if time travel was real until the end.

I loved the original story that this movie had and it gave a look into something that you would have never heard about otherwise unless you were into researching conflicts in Iran from the 1980's. Ben Affleck is awesome in it and so are all the other no name actors you havn't ever heard of. It was a really cool story and the last 30 minutes of the movie started to get really intense to the point where I thought they might not get out safely, but they had to. It had to have a happy ending and when do you ever hear of Iran winning anything? Never.

Director: Tom Hooper | Stars: Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried

Votes: 264,743 | Gross: $148.81M

The reason being for this being so low on my list is just because I cannot get through musicals. If I was more into musicals I'm sure it would have been higher on my list. It is an amazing movie. The acting is top notch with Anne Hatheway, Amanda Seyfried, Russel Crow and Hugh Jackman; even Sasha Baron Cohen makes an unexpected appearance and he is pretty good in it. Russel Crow always seems to come out of nowhere and give everybody Sh** for something and it gets a little annoying. I mean all these people are trying to live off the very little crap that they have other than their okay singing voices. The fact that this entire movie was recorded live and the instrumental part of it was added in later is crazy cause it it 2 and a half hours of non-stop singing. The one thing I dont get about musicals is why they have to sing the simplest things that could easily just be said in normal talking, but thats just what I think. Its an amazing story and movie other than my problems that I can't seem to shed.

This film was extremely well done. I watched in on Bluray for the first time and I have never seen a movie look better than Brave did. The little irish girl with a bow and arrow is pretty awesome, but I have to say the plot twist did it for me unfortunately. The movie was about something completely different from what I had expected and it really disappointed me. It was still a good movie. I was just really hoping for something else, but to say the least this movie is one of the greatest Blurays I have ever seen and the music is very good as well and thats why it is so high on my list.

This was way better than I thought it would be. It is one of those movies that has different stories of different people that come together at different parts of the movie. The acting is great in this movie and I just really enjoyed it. It was a very well done comedy and drama.

Only thing i didnt like was the moms part in the movie. I thought it was kind of stupid. Over all I thought it was pretty good. Not my favorite though.

I was a little disappointed with this movie, but the only reason I watched it was because it was nominated for an oscar for best original screenplay. So I guess I was just watching it for the writing. I thought the story was pretty cute with these two 12 year olds going off and saying they love each other but I mean common thats kind of stupid too. The acting was okay and guess what Bruce Willis is a cop again. Big surprise there. He couldn't have been a camp counselor or something? No just another cop. What I did like about this movie was the camera work. There were some really cool one shot takes that went on for a while. How the movie was shot was cool but honestly other than that and maybe a few small things it was just stupid. It deserved that nomination for original screenplay but it certainly doesn't deserve an oscar.

This movie is actually pretty cool. It is very Memento like with the ways that it goes back and forth in time. It was also like the movie Next where Nicolas Cage because there were some pretty sick scenes with him seeing the future where there were different situations and outcomes, but most of them involved crashing his bike. JGL is basically on his bike the entire time but he is an awesome actor so he made it a pretty awesome movie too. But overall I gotta rank it pretty low.

I love found footage movies but this one is different from the typical lost in the woods kind of thing and gives a cool fictional story of what could have happened to a lost Apollo mission. It was a quick and to the point found footage movie. Unlike the paranormal activity movies where it takes until night 69 for anything other than a door closing to happen. The only thing and I'm going to spoil if if you havn't seen it. The *beep* they find on the moon is first of all somehow America doesnt know the Russians were on the moon? Or the Astronauts just didnt get that important input. The dumbest thing is that the space rocks turn into spider things and attack the astronauts? kay?

This had to be the least scary of the four Paranormal Activity movies. There were very few things that were actually scary. I guess it tied in with the other ones, but it was sort of a failed attempt at making it completely make sense. The last scene isn't really even that scary either. The one character that makes it a pretty funny movie is the boyfriend. He is hilarious.
