I met this guy (Thor) at a comic convention, and he had a great band. They had a Twisted Sister type vibe and influence. The lead singer Thor who is in the movie blew up one of those bed warmers and it popped. Some guy dressed like a chicken was in the audience. So cool.

OK, this is not a "metal" movie in any way, shape or form, but I loved the "metal" version Davy Jones (of the Monkees) (RIP) did of his song "Girl" in the school dance scene. Classic.

OK, is this a metal movie? After all, even though they do "Hardcore" music in some of the scenes, they dress like a bunch of metal guys. They had the style down, but there wasn't any real metal music in it. I think a metal angle would have been better than using punk music for this movie.

OK, this is a movie for mid 90s post grunge alt rockers, but there was one scene where a bunch of kids set aside all that alternative posturing and jumped around to "If You Want Blood (You Got It)" by AC/DC. A very metal scene for a non metal movie.

I wanted to like this movie, but it fell short in so many ways and came off as a bit of a 80s rock version of Glee. However, the renditions of 80s glam rock standards like Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" and Poison's "Nothin' But A Good Time" were ok.

The rise, fall and near-resurrection of a 1980s metal band.
I never took them too seriously, thought they did too many covers but after watching this, I realized, they are a good band! Plus they had an interesting story. I didn't listen to them after 1986, so it was interesting how far they went. Best song: Cum On Feel the Noize!
