- DirectorLena KoppelStarsPer MorbergClaes MalmbergVanna RosenbergA drama-comedy about Max, a successful New York-based commercial cinematographer, who is disillusioned and alone.Yet another Swedish movie in which some producer made a pact with the devil. Completely unnessessary sequel with a script which looks like it has been written down on a piece of toilet paper. Worthless character development and yet when the change do happen - you just don't care (maybe because you're half asleep).
I love Per Moberg and Claes Malmberg, both as actors and individuals, and it breaks my heart to see their acting skills being used for trash in this movie. As evil and forgotten as the prequel, this is truly Swedish filmmaking at its worst. - DirectorHelena BergströmStarsNadja MirmiranBjörn BengtssonSofi HelledayBased on August Strindberg's play "Fröken Julie" (Miss Julie). Julie, daughter of a count, is fascinated by the servant Jean, who is engaged to her maid Kristin, and manages to seduce him. but what are the costs...Just because you love a good fireplace, it doesn't mean you should put your whole hand in it! Bergström clearly doesn't know what she's doing with the story about Julie, but even worse - it feels like she doesn't even care. This is clearly a stage production that just accidentially made it to the cinema. But based on numbers of cinema visitors, nobody seemed to bother anyway.
A pathetic attempt to shine a bit in the spot light. Only thing was, she forgot to make a watchable movie. - DirectorJudd ApatowStarsPaul RuddLeslie MannMaude ApatowPete and Debbie are both about to turn 40, their kids hate each other, both of their businesses are failing, they're on the verge of losing their house, and their relationship is threatening to fall apart.A painful and horrible film about being 40 years old. That's it. There's nothing more. Judd Apatow drags this lame excuse for a comedy over the 2 hour mark and delivers only shallow and annoying characters. I don't care about these people! And even if such people do exist in the real world, whose living situation looks just like the characters in the movie, they really need to get down from their pedistals and face reality.
- DirectorDan MazerStarsRose ByrneRafe SpallAlex MacqueenNewlywed couple Nat and Josh are deliriously happy despite their differences, though friends and family aren't convinced that they can last. With their first anniversary approaching and attractive alternatives in the mix, can they last?I gave it 10 minutes. Then I died a little inside.
This humourless movie lacks comedic timing, but most important of all - laughter. "I Give It A Year" had so annoying characters that I almost felt the need to rip my arm hair off, just to stay alive. There's no way I'm getting near this thing again. - DirectorJon M. ChuStarsDwayne JohnsonChanning TatumAdrianne PalickiThe G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.Let's make a sequel to an already boring movie! Was there even a script to G.I. Joe: Retaliation? I really don't remember, all I do remember was horrible 3D, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, killing the only watchable thing in the first 10 minutes (literally) and a terrible headache afterwards.
- DirectorHarmony KorineStarsVanessa HudgensSelena GomezAshley BensonFour college girls hold up a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. While partying, drinking, and taking drugs, they are arrested, only to be bailed out by a drug and arms dealer.A lot of critics praised this film like it was going to be this year's cult movie. It's not. Or at least I don't think so. I couldn't even care about or hate any of the characters, I just got so crossed with the Harmony Korine's style and form.
I know you're not suppose to care about the main characters, but even so, you can't create characters in which their very presence makes you want to vomit.
There's a thin line between art and innovative thinking and just plain exploitation. This is in my book a complete failure. - DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsJaden SmithDavid DenmanWill SmithA crash landing leaves Kitai Raige and his father Cypher stranded on Earth, a millennium after events forced humanity's escape. With Cypher injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help. There's no point getting angry with "After Earth". It's just the most forgettable movie of the year, with a painfully bad script. I'm not seeing a comeback for M. Night Shyamalan in a long, long time.
- DirectorFede AlvarezStarsJane LevyShiloh FernandezJessica LucasFive friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods. There's a brilliant movie called "Evil Dead" and it's from 1981. Why even bother making a reboot?
We were to think that this would be the year's most horrific and frightening film. And yet those were only words from a production company, trying to sell tickets.
It was dull, slow, not the least bit scary and ultimately I questioned once again Hollywood's constant obsession to do remakes. - DirectorMalcolm D. LeeDavid ZuckerStarsSimon RexAshley TisdaleCharlie SheenA couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their lost nieces and nephew home. With the help of home-surveillance cameras, they learn they're being stalked by a nefarious demon. Not funny. Silly script. The cast and crew doesn't even seem to care about the end result. Then why should we?
- DirectorSimon SandquistStarsAnastasios SoulisAnna ÅströmHenrik Lundström1994. Three overage students go on a wild ride while crashing graduation parties. There's been a discussion whether this movie is addressed solely to the younger crowd and that critics and the older generation wouldn't understand "Studentfesten". Whatever the end result may turn out to be, this is still a failure and doesn't deliver any laughter whatsoever.
It is obvious that the writers made this film for their own amusement, which only makes me sad to see how perfectly good production money goes to waste on movies like this.
