My Fantasy Batman Casting List

The next Batman incarnation is going to ruffle feathers, but maybe this fantasy list can help DC and Warner Brothers out a little bit (wishful thinking that they'd even pay attention to this nerd's list haha). Obviously all these characters won't be in the film(s), but I want to cover them all regardless. Ya never know, I never would've thought Scarecrow and Bane would've worked as stand-alone villains...

“ BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE: Everyone knows this IS the new Batman, so get over it. Personally I like this take on the Dark Knight, so I'm going with it. Affleck will be able to pull off the battle-weary Dark Knight and will absolutely crush in scenes as Bruce Wayne. ” - fnpople2020

2.
Willem Dafoe
Actor, Spider-Man
Willem Dafoe was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Muriel Isabel (Sprissler), a nurse, and Dr. William Alfred Dafoe, a surgeon. He is of German, French, English, Irish, and Scottish descent. In 1979, Dafoe was given a small role in Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate from which he was fired. His first feature role came shortly after in Kathryn Bigelow's The Loveless...
“ THE JOKER: There's literally no one else on Earth that I can think of who can play bone-chillingly cold and insane better than Dafoe. He fits into the "older" vibe that the new Batman series is going with. He has the eyes that work too. Makeup for this character always transforms, but the bone structure has to be there and this amazing actor has the chops to pull this off. ” - fnpople2020

3.
Kristin Chenoweth
Actress, Rio 2
Kristin Chenoweth is an American stage, screen and television actress, though, depending on who you ask, Cheno fans may disagree on what her most famous roles are. Since Chenoweth began her career, she has been credited with roles in musicals and plays on and off-Broadway, on various television shows and can be seen in movies on television and the big screen...
“ HARLEY QUINN: A slightly off-beat choice for The Joker's psychotic love interest/partner-in-crime, but a tremendous actor with great comedic timing. We've never seen her as a blood-thirsty maniac, but I can see the charm Kristin naturally emanates making Harley Quinn quite a fun character on screen! ” - fnpople2020

“ CATWOMAN/SELENA KYLE: I can't think of a better Catwoman than Olivia Wilde. She oozes sexiness, has a natural acting talent, and has experience in action roles like Tron: Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens. Selena Kyle doesn't have to be the same age as Bruce Wayne for this to work: in fact it fits in with Wayne's playboy image to be chasing girls half his age. ” - fnpople2020

5.

“ JAMES GORDON: We need a badass Commissioner Gordon, and Bruce Willis could play the wise but tough role better than anyone else in acting today. He'd look good with that moustache too, if anyone remembers Death Becomes Her! ” - fnpople2020

6.
Liam Hemsworth
Liam Hemsworth was born on January 13, 1990, in Melbourne, Australia, and is the younger brother of actors Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth. “ NIGHTWING/DICK GRAYSON: I'd be interested in seeing Robin transition to become his own kind of hero. Liam Hemsworth could definitely pull this off if done right. ” - fnpople2020

7.
Sophia Bush
Actress, One Tree Hill
Actress Sophia Bush has captured film and television audiences, alike, with her range of roles and diverse characters. Now in it's 7th season, Bush portrays "Brooke Davis" on The CW's hit drama, One Tree Hill. Her character has evolved from a trouble-making vixen to a fiercely loyal friend, and is a huge fan favorite...
“ BATGIRL/Barbara Gordon: I've loved Sophia Bush since my guilty pleasure One Tree Hill. I could see her playing well with both Affleck and Bruce Willis as her father. ” - fnpople2020

8.
Clive Owen
British actor Clive Owen is one of a handful of stars who, though he is best known for his art house films, can handle more mainstream films with equal measures of grace and skill. Owen is typically cast as characters whose primary traits are a balance of physical strength, intellect, conflicting soul but forceful will...
“ TWO-FACE/HARVEY DENT: Clive Owen could be a brilliant DA Dent, and an even better Two-Face. The age-range fits perfectly as a Bruce Wayne contemporary, and he'd just look awesome in the make-up! ” - fnpople2020

9.
Crispin Glover
While he's never been a typical leading man, Crispin Glover has distinguished himself as one of the most intriguing personalities in the movie business. His unusual characters and personal projects have inspired a cult-like following that has dubbed him both madman and genius. The son of actor Bruce Glover...
“ SCARECROW: Crispin Glover has long been a great character actor, and he'd make a great secondary villain teaming up with a top villain like Poison Ivy with their combined history of chemical warfare... ” - fnpople2020

10.
Samuel L. Jackson

Jackson is an American producer and highly prolific actor, having appeared in over 100 films, including _Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), _Unbreakable (2000), Shaft, Formula 51, Black Snake Moan, Snakes on a Plane, and the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999-2005), as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

11.

An Australian actor, Ryan Kwanten was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He appeared on several TV shows Down Under, including a five year stint on the popular series Home and Away. After graduating from business school at the University of Sydney, he came to Los Angeles for what was supposed to be a brief visit but decided to stay...
“ VICTOR ZSASZ: Okay, let's not play around. Victor Zsasz is probably the most sadistic and purely evil characters in the Batman universe. He's a self-mutilating serial killer. I know Ryan Kwanten could play this role and it's NOT just because of his abs (well, okay, maybe it is partially that). ” - fnpople2020

12.
Danny Glover
Actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover has been a commanding presence on screen, stage and television for more than 25 years. “ CLAYFACE/BASIL KARLO: There have been a few Clayfaces, but the idea that a famous actor goes crazy and somehow transforms into anything he wants has appeal. I could see the Danny Glover bringing depth to Karlo, and the CGI monster can do the physical work necessary to make this a great villain. ” - fnpople2020

13.
Christopher Lee
Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee was perhaps the only actor of his generation to have starred in so many films and cult saga. “ ALFRED PENNYWORTH: Sir Christopher Lee is such a great actor that he could do almost any role and be terrific at it. I could see a deathbed scene between Alfred and Bruce that would work really well in moving a story forward. ” - fnpople2020

14.
John Rhys-Davies

He graduated from the University of East Anglia and is probably best known to film audiences for his roles in the blockbuster hits Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade...
“ CARMINE FALCONE: One of Gotham City's most powerful mob bosses, I could see this character as a powerful corrupter for DA Dent, and eventually an ally to someone like him or even an oppressor to Selena Kyle. ” - fnpople2020

15.
“ VICKI VALE: As Batman's equivalent of Lois Lane, I could see Kerry Washington dominating in this role. Reporters, like Lois Lane in Superman's world, have to have a little gumption. If anyone's seen Scandal, they know Kerry can play this kind of take-no-prisoners kind of a character. We need tougher roles for women, and it'd be nice to see a female character NOT portrayed as a damsel in distress. ” - fnpople2020

16.

“ KILLER CROC: I know asking for a Clayface CGI character is asking a lot of both a studio and viewers, but having Killer Croc as a villain in a Batman movie could be tremendous. And it takes a tremendous man to fill this role. I think Jason Momoa could pull it off for myriad reasons. ” - fnpople2020

Hector is of Basque and Puerto Rican descent, and "Elizondo" means "at the foot of the church" in Basque. His lifestyle in his pre-acting days was as diverse as the roles he plays today...
“ LUCIUS FOX: Hector Elizondo could be a great Lucius Fox. Quiet and collected in most of his performances, he'd fit the role of an R&D chair, and that tone would definitely fit someone secretly helping Bruce Wayne develop Batman's tech gadgets. ” - fnpople2020
