The 10 Best Performances Of Winona Ryderby rui_garces_7 | created - 25 May 2013 | updated - 25 May 2013 | Public
Due to problems of socialization at school, her parents enrolled her in the American Conservatory Theater at age 12, and the following year she auditioned for "Desert Bloom" but she was not accepted. Interestingly she was called to participate in the film "Lucas" by David Seltzer, and when he asked for a name that appears on the credits, she adopted the name Winona Ryder, due of an album Mitch Ryder of her father. But it was with the films "Beetle Juice" by Tim Burton, and "Heathers", who made her a Hollywood Star. A curious fact is that she had to give up of a role in "The Godfather Part III" due to a respiratory infection caused by exhaustion, to enter another great success of Tim Burton's, "Edward Scissorhands". Over time, and thanks to her dedication to each role, she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in "The Age Of Innocence" and for Best Actress in "Little Woman".
