My 100 Best TV Dramas of all time (so far)

These aren't really in any particular order, per se. Don't be too upset if you see a show at the bottom of the list that you think should be higher (just look at my star ratings). I've put some of these on other lists of the best of the decades, but there will be some on here from before the 70's that I haven't mentioned yet. I love great TV & these are the best of this genre that I've seen. If you haven't watched some of these, do yourself a favor and try watching them on DVD, Netflix or wherever you can get them.

“ The Practice was darker & Ally McBeal was certainly lighter, but it's this David E. Kelly lawyer show that I liked the most. It struck just the right balance between those two worlds with one of his best casts assembled. Shatner is actually revelatory, and Spader is all at once slimy & charming in one of his best performances.

Like HSB, it used just the right touch of humor and pathos to create a world that was compelling and repellant all at the same time. It's too bad this show doesn't get talked about as much as it used to. It seems to have fallen off the radar, and it's simply too good for that.

The performances were also incredibly good and poignant, especially by Chi McBride in probably the best role i've seen him in.

“ Just a show I love for the pure inventiveness of it. Another one that never got the chance it really deserved. It showed how stupid life could sometimes be when we meet our end, but also showed how there may just be something there to help you along & how that bit of comfort may be enough. Mandy Patinkin is superb as the boss of the Grim Reapers & reason enough to watch.
