I admire Guillermo del Toro, I love Kaiju movies, so this one struck a note with me. Is it a textbook Kaiju movie? Is there some guy in a rubber suit with a model city below his feet? Maybe not, but it is damn good.
10. Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989)

Biollante has always been one of my favorites. I always hate how short the fight scene at the end of the movie is.
11. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991)

Time travelers use Godzilla in their scheme to destroy Japan to prevent the country's future economic reign.
12. Daikaijû kettô: Gamera tai Barugon (1966)
106 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
A giant monster that emits a destructive ray from its back attacks Japan and takes on Gamera.
Barugon is an interesting adversary.
13. Destroy All Monsters (1968)

Awesome that is has such a large monster ensemble, just not so great that some of them don't do much at all.

18. Gamera vs. Monster X (1970)

When an ancient statue is moved for display in Expo '70, a giant, vaguely Triceratops-like monster is released. The monster goes to Japan in pursuit of the statue and ends up battling Gamera, the giant flying turtle.
Surprisingly good. Jiger is a tough adversary.
19. Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975)

Godzilla comes to the rescue when an alien race rebuilds Mechagodzilla to destroy Earth's cities. A traitorous scientist gives them a second weapon: Titanosaurus.
Titanosaurus is a lively kaiju and holds its ground againast Godzilla well. Surprised that monster never appeared in another Toho movie.

I do like Gigan a lot, but Megalon is pretty hoakey.

33. Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000)

Japan creates an artificial black hole device to trap Godzilla forever, but a test of the device creates new foes for Godzilla, car-sized dragonflies called meganula and their queen, Megaguirus.
Probably my least favorite Godzilla film.
