10 Best Horror Films of 1935

After the enforcement of the Hays code in 1934, horror was on unsure footing. Although this wouldn't be the last time that censorship got in the way of horror productivity, the studios were quickly back to one-upping each other for this year. With additional classics to add to the canon, this is a great year for horror much like earlier on in the decade.

Notable Films sometimes labelled as horror:
Dante's Inferno, The Great Impersonation, She, The Clairvoyant

Notable Films that didn't make the cut:
The Crime of Doctor Crespi, Murder in the Red Barn, Rocky Mountain Mystery, Condemned to Live
