10 Best Horror Films of 1949

by nauru-1 | created - 22 Sep 2013 | updated - 25 Mar 2016 | Public

As the decade draws to a close, horror has fallen off considerably. The Universal monsters, a reliable source of horror for the better part of two decades, are gone, and it seems the genre as a whole is out of vogue. Besides a couple of entries, there isn't much to choose. Some interesting dramas with dark elements in this year, however.

Notable Films sometimes labelled as horror: The Rocking Horse Winner, Alias Nick Beal, The Window, Obsession, Follow Me Quietly

Notable Films that didn't make the cut: Nabeshima kaibyou den
