Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt was born February 17, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, to Jane Gordon and Dennis Levitt. Joseph was raised in a Jewish family with his late older brother, Dan Gordon-Levitt, who passed away in October 2010. His parents worked for the Pacifica Radio station KPFK-FM and his maternal grandfather, Michael Gordon, had been a well-known movie director. Joseph first became well known for his starring role on NBC's award-winning comedy series 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996). During his six seasons on the show, he won two YoungStar Awards and also shared in three Screen Actors Guild Award® nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Comedy Series Ensemble.
Prior to his success on television, Joseph had already worked steadily in feature films. Early in his career, he won a Young Artist Award for his first major role, in Robert Redford's drama A River Runs Through It (1992). During the 1990s, he also co-starred in the films Angels in the Outfield (1994), The Juror (1996), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), a well-reviewed slasher sequel, and 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), opposite Heath Ledger, which has become a teen comedy classic.
Following his work on 3rd Rock, Joseph took time off from acting to attend Columbia University. In the early 2000s, he broke from the mold of his television and film comedy supporting roles by appearing in a string of intense dramatic parts, mostly in smaller, independent films, such as Manic (2001), with Don Cheadle; Mysterious Skin (2004), for writer/director Gregg Araki; Rian Johnson's award-winning debut, dramatic thriller Brick (2005) (2005); Lee Daniels' Shadowboxer (2005); the crime drama The Lookout (2007), which marked Scott Frank's directorial debut; John Madden's Killshot (2008), with Diane Lane and Mickey Rourke; Spike Lee's World War II film Miracle at St. Anna (2008); and the controversial drama Stop-Loss (2008), in which he starred with Ryan Phillippe, under the direction of Kimberly Peirce. By 2009, Joseph was officially established as one a new generation of leading men with his Golden Globe-nominated role in Marc Webb's comedy-drama 500 Days of Summer (2009), also starring Zooey Deschanel , for which he received Golden Globe, Independent Spirit Award and People's Choice Award nominations. He also adapted the Elmore Leonard short story Sparks (2009) into a 24-minute short film that he directed, which screened at the Sundance Film Festival.
Beginning the new decade, he headlined the indie drama Hesher (2010) and established himself as an action star in Christopher Nolan's Inception (2010), also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard and Elliot Page. Balancing both independent and Hollywood film, Joseph scored another Golden Globe nod for the cancer drama 50/50 (2011), directed by Jonathan Levine and also starring Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick, and Bryce Dallas Howard. He worked again with director Nolan on The Dark Knight Rises (2012), the third and final installment in the director's Batman series, for which he received a People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite Movie Actor; and snagged leading roles in both Premium Rush (2012), directed by David Koepp, and Looper (2012), reuniting with his Brick director, Rian Johnson, opposite Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt. Rounding out the year, he played Abraham Lincoln's son Robert in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated Lincoln (2012), with Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field.
In 2013, Gordon-Levitt starred in his critically-acclaimed feature film directorial debut, Don Jon (2013), from a script he wrote, opposite Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore. He was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for "Best First Screenplay" for the film. He also provided the voice of Jiro Horikoshi in the 2014 English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki's Academy Award-nominated animated feature The Wind Rises (2013), and appeared in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), in which he played Johnny, a character Miller created for the film. In 2015, he starred in The Walk (2015), directed by Robert Zemeckis, and in which he portrayed Philippe Pettit, and in 2016 headlined Oliver Stone's Snowden (2016).
Joseph has completed production on Project Power (2020), Henry Joost/Ariel Schulman sci-fi film for Netflix, in which he stars opposite Jamie Foxx, and on the independent thriller, 7500 (2019), written and directed by Patrick Vollarth. Among his other projects, he will play attorney Richard Schultz in Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020), and is in development on a variety of feature films including Fraggle Rock.
Joseph has also founded and directs hitRECord, an open collaborative production. hitRECord creates and develops art and media collectively using their website where anyone with an internet connection can upload their records, download and remix others' records, and work on projects together. When the results of these RECords are produced and make a profit, hitRECord splits the profits 50/50 with everybody who contributed to the final production. hitRECord has published books, put out records, gone on tour and has screened their work at major festivals including Sundance and TIFF. The half-hour variety program, "Hit Record on TV with Joseph Gordon-Levitt," which includes short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation and more, earned an Emmy Award for Creative Achievement in Interactive Media - Social TV Experience. hitRECord's project, "Band Together with Logic," is a one-hour YouTube Originals special that sees Grammy-nominated rapper Logic open up his creative process like never before, inviting the world to collaborate with him on an original song and music video.
In 2016, the ACLU honored Gordon-Levitt with their annual Bill of Rights Award for furthering diversity efforts, promoting free speech, empowering women and otherwise supporting civil rights and liberties for all Americans.- Actor

David Hyde Pierce was born in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA. He is the youngest child of George and Laura Pierce (both deceased) and has two older sisters (Barbara and Nancy) and an older brother (Thomas). As a child, he was very interested in music (particularly piano) and regularly played the organ at his local church (Bethesda Episcopal Church). David discovered a love of drama in high school and, upon his graduation in 1977, he received the Yaddo Medal which is to honor academic achievement and personal character. Instead, he returned to his love of drama and graduated in 1981 with a double major in English and Theatre Arts. He then moved to New York where he worked several menial jobs (including selling ties at Bloomingdales and working as a security guard) while acting in the theater during the late 80s and early 90s. He appeared in small roles in films such as Bright Lights, Big City (1988) before his life and career changed forever when he landed the role of "Dr. Niles Crane" in the television series Frasier (1993). Throughout the show's eleven year run (1993-2004), David was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series each year (he won four times: 1995, 1998-1999 and 2004). John Joseph Theodore Rzeznik was born in Buffalo, New York, to Edith (Pomeroy) and Joseph Rzeznik, a bar proprietor and postal clerk. He is the youngest of five children, and has Polish (father) and English and German (mother) ancestry. From early on in his life, John found that his parents were constantly arguing due to his father's drinking problem. His father died at the age of 55 as a result of alcohol complications. As the family were trying to come to terms with the death of Joe, John's life was completely shattered just over a year later when his mother died of a sudden heart attack. At the age of 16 John had lost both of his parents and was to be raised by his four older sisters. During this time and while attending high school John's friend introduced him to a hobby which he would stick to for the rest of his life, playing the guitar. After graduating from high school John attended Buffalo State College, only to drop out after his freshman year. It was at this time that he met fellow musician Robby Tacak. Together with drummer George Tutuska the Goo Goo Dolls were born. The Goo Goo Dolls signed to Celluloid by 1985 but didn't gain any success for nine years. During this time the trio released five records and constantly toured. Also John began dating Laurie Farinacci and they married in 1993. The band's 1995 album, "A Boy Named Goo", went double platinum and after hearing their song "Name" the band were asked by music producers to write a song for the upcoming film City of Angels. This song turned out to be "Iris" their most successful hit. The song was featured on their next album "Dizzy up the Girl". The Goo Goo Dolls most recent album is "Gutterflower" released in 2003. He has been married to Amy Railsback since 22 November 2010. He was previously married to Gretchen Bonaduce and Setsuko Hattori.- Born in Bedford, Texas, on March 4, 1993, the multi-talented Jenna Boyd has been "on the go" in her life since the age of 2. Her mother, Debbie, entered Jenna into a modeling search when she was two years old. Her enthusiasm and sweet nature captured the hearts of agents who informed her mother to send Jenna to agencies. Soon enough, Jenna was appearing in commercials and print ads, and was cast as one of the young kids in The Barney Show.
A few years later, the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, because of work commitments involving Jenna's father, Mike, who now flies for Delta Air. Jenna's agent in Atlanta urged Debbie to temporarily move to Los Angeles, California, to audition. It worked, and Jenna was quickly cast in the TV shows CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), Just Shoot Me! (1997), Titus (1999), and Six Feet Under (2001). Jenna also appeared in the feature TV-movie Mary Christmas (2002) where she played the lead character, Felice. Jenna's first foray into film was a small part in The Exorcist (1973) director William Friedkin's The Hunted (2003) where she played daughter to Benicio Del Toro's character; the film also stars Tommy Lee Jones. She then appeared in Sam Weisman's Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003) playing star David Spade's "adopted" daughter Sally. Jenna's biggest breakthrough came in Ron Howard's (Night Shift (1982), Apollo 13 (1995)) 2003 film The Missing (2003), where she received critical acclaim for her haunting portrayal of Dot Gilkenson, daughter of Cate Blanchett's character. (This was Jenna's second time working with Tommy Lee Jones.) Besides acting, Jenna Boyd is also an award-winning skater.
On the ice as early as 5:15 in the morning, Jenna's determination in her skating has already led her to master the double jump move, which is very successful for the 11-year old (her favorite skater is Tara Lipinski). Despite the hectic schedule of juggling skating, school (she's a straight-A student) and acting, Jenna is gifted and strong enough to handle it all.
Jenna's other hobbies include running a spy club with her friends, horseback riding, attending church, making homemade perfumes and spending time with her brother, Cayden, who is also an up-and-coming actor (last seen in Clint Eastwood's 2003 film Mystic River (2003) as the son to the Tim Robbins character). Jenna Boyd currently resides in Los Angeles. - Actress

Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in New York City, on 2 July 1986, to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. She began her career at age three as a Ford model, and also made appearances in over sixty television commercials, including spots for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O (opposite Bill Cosby). Lohan made her acting debut in 1996 as the third actress to play Ali Fowler in the television drama Another World (1964). Shortly afterward she was hand-picked by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers as estranged twin sisters in an adaptation by Walt Disney Pictures of a novel by Erich Kästner, which marked Meyers' directorial debut. Lohan's first feature film, The Parent Trap (1998), a remake of The Parent Trap (1961), was a modest commercial success, earning her widespread critical acclaim and a Young Artist award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, as well as Blockbuster Entertainment and YoungStar award nominations.
After signing a three-movie contract with Disney, she returned to the small screen to star in the made-for-TV movies Life-Size (2000) (opposite Tyra Banks) and Get a Clue (2002) (opposite Bug Hall). She also appeared as Rose in the pilot episode of the short-lived comedy series Bette (2000), which starred Bette Midler.
In June 2001 Lohan took a brief hiatus from acting. Her music career was launched over a year later, when Estefan Enterprises made a five-album production deal with her in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the reactivated Casablanca Records.
However, Lohan was not turning her back on her blossoming acting career. Just over a month previously she had been cast opposite Jamie Lee Curtis for another Disney adaptation of a novel, this time a fantasy comedy by Mary Rodgers. Freaky Friday (2003), a remake of Freaky Friday (1976), was a huge hit (generating over $160 million in worldwide box office receipts) and critics were spellbound by delightful performances from Lohan and Curtis (who went on to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her work). In addition, Lohan won the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination.
Lohan relocated permanently to Los Angeles between projects and moved into an apartment with fellow actress Raven-Symoné. She also dated pop star Aaron Carter for a short time.
Her next acting role was the title character in the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), a Disney adaptation of the novel by Dyan Sheldon. The film received scathing reviews upon its release and died a quick death at the box office, but even the harshest of critics were impressed by Lohan's charming turn as aspiring actress Lola.
Lohan's next project, Mean Girls (2004), saw her reunite with Freaky Friday (2003) director Mark Waters. Inspired by a non-fiction book by Rosalind Wiseman and written by Saturday Night Live (1975) scribe Tina Fey, the high-school comedy-drama opened to glowing reviews and grossed $86 million in the US. This earned her status as a bankable actress, and a salary of $7.5 million for the Donald Petrie romantic comedy Just My Luck (2006).
One of the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, she starred in Bobby (2006) (opposite Demi Moore and Sharon Stone), the Disney fantasy adventure Herbie Fully Loaded (2005) (a pseudo-sequel to The Love Bug (1969)) and the critically acclaimed A Prairie Home Companion (2006). On top of a thriving film career Lohan also launched a music career, releasing her debut album, "Speak," which hit shelves in December 2004.
In 2009 Lohan launched her own fashion line titled 6126, mainly focusing on the production of women's leggings. By spring she launched a self-tanning spray line titled "Sevin Nyne" and by the end of the year she became an artistic designer for fashion house Ungaro.
Lindsay continues her career in acting, having played a supporting role in the action film Machete (2010).- Actor

The legendary actress set a record when at age 82, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars (2005). Cloris Leachman was born on April 30, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa to Berkeley Claiborne "Buck" Leachman and the former Cloris Wallace. Her father's family owned a lumber company, Leachman Lumber Co. She was of Czech (from her maternal grandmother) and English descent. After graduating from high school, Leachman attended Illinois State University and Northwestern University, where she majored in drama. Though she would win an Oscar for Peter Bogdanovich's adaptation of Larry McMurtry's The Last Picture Show (1971) and appear in three Mel Brooks movies, it was in television that her career remained and her fame was assured in the 1970s and into the second decade of the new millennium.

Dave Winfield, the hard-hitting, Gold Glove outfielder who put together a Hall of Fame career with the San Diego Padres, the New York Yankees, the California Angels and the Toronto Blue Jays (with which he won a World Series Championship in 1992), Minnesota Twins (1993-1994), and Cleveland Indians (with whom he went to the World Series in 1995), was born October 3, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The day of Winfield's birth was a storied day in baseball history. Bobby Thomson of the NY Giants, in the third and last game of a three-game playoff with the Brooklyn Dodgers for the National League pennant, bashed a circuit clout in the bottom of the ninth inning to win it all for the Giants, a home run known as "The Shot Heard 'Round the World". (The Giants went on to lose the World Series to the New York Yankees, the team that would figure prominently in Winfeild's life.)
An outstanding athlete at the University of Minnesota, the 6' 6" Golden Gopher Winfield was as coveted by professional basketball teams as he was by Major League Baseball. In 1973, he was drafted by the San Diego Padres in baseball, and by the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association and the Utah Stars of the rival American Basketball Assocaition. He was even a draft pick of the National Football League's Minnesota Vikings, even though Winfield had never played college football!
The 12-time All Star who would would never play a game in the minors primarily was a right fielder known for his playing shallow and making dramatic leaps over the outfield wall to steal potential homers from frustrated hitters. Winfield also was possessed of a rifle like arm, the combination of which with his overall outfield play won him seven Gold Gloves for fielding, two in the National League and one in the American League. After batting .308 with 34 homers and 118 RBI in 1979 (good for #3 in the NL Most Valuable Player Award voting), he positioned himself as a coveted player in the new free agent market. After declaring free agency after the 1980 season, he was signed by New York Yankees owner George M. Steinbrenner III for a phenomenal 10-year contract worth over $20 million, record numbers for the times. Steinbrenner was seeking a replacement for the legendary Reggie Jackson, the fabled "Mr. October", whom he did not plan to resign after the 1981 season.
In Winfield's first season with the Yankees, the strike-shortened 1981 season, playing alongside Jackson and many of the key players who had won four divisional titles, three American League pennants and two World Series since 1976, Winfield had a respectable season, coming in #7 in that year's MVP voting. However, he had a poor World Series, getting one hit in 22 at bats for an .045 average, leading Steinbrenner to later rue the day he let Reggie go, and deriding Winfield as "Mr. May". Their relationship thoroughly deteriorated over the years, as the Yankees consistently failed to make the playoffs, even leading to a scandal that saw Steinbrenner banned for baseball for life (temporarily) in the owner's machinations to discredit Winfield. Winfield later shook off the "Mr. May" sobriquet and won redemption by playing on Toronto's World Series Championship team in 1992, and with the American League Champion Cleveland Indians in 1995. (The Yankees didn't return to the winner's circle until 1996, the year after Winfield retired from baseball.)
In his career, Winfield racked up 3,110 hits, 5,221 total bases, 465 home runs, and 1,833 RBIs. It was a performance good enough to make him a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2002.
As a player and now a baseball executive, Winfield is known for his charitable concerns, with his Dave Winfield Foundation dedicated to helping underprivileged children. In 1994, he won the Roberto Clemente Award in 1994 for his humanitarian activities.- Actor

An accomplished actor, singer and songwriter, Adrienne Frantz made a name for herself on television playing the character of Amber Moore on two CBS daytime dramas throughout the 1990s and 2000s. An outgoing only child, by age three Adrienne Danielle Frantz was holding private dance recitals in her hometown of Mount Clemens, Michigan. In spite of a busy schedule of dance, voice and theater classes, and a move to New Jersey . Frantz managed to graduate from Shawnee high school in Medford, N.J., at age eighteen and promptly packed her bags and headed off to New York City in search of her dreams - and never looked back. While enrolled in her freshman year at Marymount College in New York City, Frantz won the role of Tiffany Thorne on Aaron Spelling's new NBC soap-opera Sunset Beach (1997) and moved to Los Angeles. Within a few months she jumped ship from a struggling to join one of the most-watched shows around the globe: producer/writer Bradley Bell hired her for the plum part of the scheming, yet vulnerable, Amber Moore on The Bold and the Beautiful (1987). Debuting as a supporting character alongside villainess Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) in July 1997 Amber was soon linked to the mighty Forrester fashion dynasty and kicked off the next generation teen set in 1998. Eventually, family members of Amber were introduced and the love story of Amber and Rick Forrester (played by Jacob Young and later Justin Torkildsen) was a tent pole of the show in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, for a short while Frantz was pulling double duty when the part of Amber's twin sister April was created. Frantz was awarded with an Emmy as 'Outstanding Younger Actress' in 2001 (with additional nominations in 2000 and 2003). In 2005 she opted on leaving the show, but the character of Amber didn't disappear for too long. In late 2006 Amber Moore returned - but this time around on The Young and the Restless (1973) where head-writer Lynn Marie Latham was a self-proclaimed fan of the actress. Akin to her debut on The Bold And The Beautiful ten years earlier, Amber was again quickly linked to the important players in Genoa City. She stayed with the show until May 2010 before returning to B&B some weeks later. Frantz second run in fictional Los Angeles started off strong but then fizzled. So in 2012, Frantz opted on leaving The Bold And The Beautiful to start a new chapter in her life: attending classes to become a stand-up-comedian. Since the age of 16, Frantz has been belting out her own self-written tunes. A music executive noticed her talents at a charity event and quickly enlisted her demo tape to A&R executives at several major record labels. Her efforts resulted in "Best Female Vocalist" honors for 1997 at the Los Angeles International Music Awards. Several B&B episodes have showcased Frantz's original songs, and she was tapped to co-write and perform the title song on the film Jimmy Zip (1996). In addition to her soap roles, Frantz also did voice-work on The Wild Thornberrys (1998) and starred in Speedway Junky (1999) - Gus Van Sant's dark tale of runaway kids living on the streets of Las Vegas - with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Tiffani Thiessen. For many years, Frantz has been staunch supporter of various animal and health welfare organizations. In her free time, Frantz enjoys writing poetry, composing music, attending concerts, skiing, playing softball, and relaxing at home with her pets. Dating Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik in the early 2000s, breaking it off in 2005, Frantz has been married to actor Scott Bailey since 2011 and the couple welcomed their first child in December 2015.- Delilah Hamlin was born on 10 June 1998 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an actress, known for How She Caught a Killer (2023), Mommy Meanest (2024) and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (2010).
