Couldn't see any disc\format info as the shop's cover was a photocopy of the 2004 DVD instead of its rightful BR cover.
Mostly the same as the 2004 DVD release, with a few subtle changes and fixes. The HD video looks impressive, because of this it'd be my release of choice. My only dislike is CGI Jabba. 10/10 - DirectorIrvin KershnerStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter the Rebel Alliance are overpowered by the Empire, Luke Skywalker begins his Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued across the galaxy by Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett.Blu-ray 2h7m [2011] Digitally Mastered THX {RENTED FROM GREENBAY AUG2017}

Mostly the same as the 2004 DVD release, with a few subtle changes and fixes. As with Episode IV the HD video looks impressive, because of this it'd be my release of choice. 10/10 - DirectorT.C. This copy doesn't have subtitles for the bits in Kinyarwanda (despite the cover saying it did), so ended up watching it online where the first version I found had hard subtitles. With the lack of subtitles = 4/10 - DirectorRichard BrooksStarsElizabeth TaylorPaul NewmanBurl IvesBrick is an alcoholic ex-football player who drinks his days away and resists the affections of his wife. It displays with almost a complete picture on 16:9 with some tiny blank lines at the top and bottom. Which leaves me confused as it definitely is very noticeably NOT 2:35:1 as the cover suggested but converted to a very almost true 16:9. 3/10 - DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsEmily BluntJosh BrolinBenicio Del ToroAn idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico.Blu-ray (2.40:1 1080p) 2h1m [2015] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY AUG2017}

A visual feast, delivers a very unique look with a near flawless result. 7/10
I saw the BR of the first Sin City film about a month or two ago (it was a special edition recut or something) and found it to be 7/10 also. I hadn't started this list yet so it doesn't show up here. The comments for this film are much the same sentiment as I had for the original. - DirectorRichard MarquandStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter rescuing Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt, the Rebel Alliance attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to help Darth Vader back from the dark side.Blu-ray 2h14m [2011] Digitally Mastered THX {RENTED FROM GREENBAY AUG2017}
Couldn't see any disc\format info as the shop's cover was a photocopy of the 2004 DVD instead of its rightful BR cover. Looks like a 2.35:1 AR.
Mostly the same as the 2004 DVD release, with a few subtle changes and fixes. The HD video looks good though I didn't think it was as impressive as the EP4 & 5 blu-rays, the video didn't seem to be mastered to the same degree, particularly noticeable in Jabba's palace I thought. The "Jedi Rocks" song replacing "Lapti Nek", Darth Vader's "nooo", and the younger Anakin showing up in the final scene are all inferior differences IMHO, regardless the BR would still be my release of choice for the film. 9/10 - DirectorOrson WellesStarsOrson WellesJoseph CottenDorothy ComingoreFollowing the death of publishing tycoon Charles Foster Kane, reporters scramble to uncover the meaning of his final utterance: 'Rosebud.'DVD (1.33:1 B&W) NTSC-R4 1h59m [2001] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY AUG2017}

Fairly surprising how brilliant this print looked for 1941, audio was good. 9/10 - DirectorGeorge LucasStarsEwan McGregorLiam NeesonNatalie PortmanTwo Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory.Blu-ray 2h16m [2011] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY SEP2017}

My first viewing of this, after being a fan of the original 3 star wars films since a kid. Though lacking an interesting story compared to the original films, the slickness of the action scenes and visuals made it just scrape in at 7/10. - DirectorMichael RadfordStarsJohn HurtRichard BurtonSuzanna HamiltonIn a totalitarian future society, a man, whose daily work is re-writing history, tries to rebel by falling in love.DVD (1.85:1) PAL-R4 1h45m [2005] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY SEP2017}

Seemed to take a step towards surreal and comical. Even less interesting than Episode I, and longer. Visually some good scenes though the cgi fails from time to time. Though no amount of flash visuals could save this film from the boredom of watching it. A generous 6/10. - DirectorMark ChristopherStarsRyan PhillippeSalma HayekNeve CampbellThe famous 1970s New York City nightclub seen and told through the eyes of a young employee.DVD (1.78:1) PAL-R4 1h36m [1998] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY SEP2017}
Cover stated it was 1.78 though it was 1.85:1, runtime was listed wrong as only 1h33m. Menus didn't work properly (or even load without having to watch the film and wait through copyright messages at the end).
An extra listed "Music Video Stars on 54" wasn't there. The only other extra listed wouldn't play.

Bounty Entertainment #BF189
It says 16:9 on the cover but is more like 1.85:1, print was kinda disappointing. Some shots looked fine whereas others looked very poor. Only because I love these kinds of films it passes with a 5/10. - DirectorMizuho NishikuboMamoru OshiiStarsAtsuko TanakaIemasa KayumiAkio ÔtsukaA cyborg policewoman and her partner hunt a mysterious and powerful hacker called the Puppet Master.DVD (16:9) PAL-R4 1h19m [2005] Digitally Remastered Special Edition {RENTED FROM GREENBAY OCT2017}
Madman #MANV5031
The Madman special edition is only a single disc with a couple of extras: Digital Works and Production Report. It says 16:9 on the cover but is more like 1.85:1. My first viewing of this brilliant anime, and although I enjoyed the 2017 film a lot more I still feel it's worthy of a 9/10. - DirectorGeorge LucasStarsHayden ChristensenNatalie PortmanEwan McGregorThree years into the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi pursues a new threat, while Anakin Skywalker is lured by Chancellor Palpatine into a sinister plot to rule the galaxy.Blu-ray 2h20m [2011] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY OCT2017}
Couldn't see any disc\format info as the shop's cover was a photocopy of the 2005 DVD instead of its rightful BR cover. Looks like a 2.35:1 AR.
The film has very slick visuals but gets bogged down with boring action scenes for the first hour or so, doing little in the way of progressing the story. The CGI was still weak at times, particularly in General Grevious scenes which almost had an animated look. I fell asleep a few times through the middle of the film having to keep rewinding back to where I'd left off, no thanks to the static acting of Hayden Christensen which started to really irritate me. Despite these criticisms I thought the film did have a strong ending so it earns a 7/10 from this long time star wars fan. - DirectorPatty JenkinsStarsGal GadotChris PineRobin WrightWhen a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, Diana, an Amazonian warrior in training, leaves home to fight a war, discovering her full powers and true destiny.Blu-ray (2.4:1 1080p) 2h21m [2017] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY OCT2017}
Roadshow #R-125130-8NZ
Too long & way too boring. A plot so unoriginal that on my first viewing it felt like I'd watched the film 5 times already, along with poor writing almost the entire way through. The only strength of the film is the completely kickass character of Wonder Woman, with minor redeeming qualities of a decent support cast and the small amounts of fight scene choreography. 4/10 - DirectorRon FrickeStarsBalinese Tari Legong DancersNi Made Megahadi PratiwiPuti Sri Candra DewiFilmed over nearly five years in twenty-five countries on five continents, and shot on seventy-millimetre film, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders.DVD (2.35:1) PAL-R4 1h38m [2011] {RENTED FROM GREENBAY OCT2017}

Stunning, breathtaking, wondrous splendour. Filmed in 70mm, the DVD looked brilliant. Must see again. 8/10 - DirectorJ.J. I didn't have very high hopes going into it, but right from the start it felt like a return to what I loved about the original star wars trilogy. Visually it was flawless, great cinematography, great sound, great music, the best cast of any star wars film yet. Utterly brilliant. 9/10 - DirectorVincent GalloStarsVincent GalloChristina RicciBen GazzaraAfter being released from prison, Billy is set to visit his parents with his wife, whom he does not actually have.
