This is for upcoming titles and I move the games that get released to the bottom and do an update on them. People have made their own lists, but I was possibly the first to do it on this site and I go back to continually add and critique.

“ The most fun I had with a game in 2013. Few games are as large and have as much to do in them as this one. It trumps GTA IV in nearly every aspect and also contains some of the best missions in GTA history. The cars are not so clunky and annoying this time around. The driving experience has been much improved and cars can also be customized to a decent extent once again. The dialogue can also be quite witty and amusing at times. To me though, the story falls rather short in this one. This may have been due in part to having three playable characters. It hurts some of the pacing for sure. I would have just preferred being able to play as Michael the entire time. I connected with him the most. The best plot in a Rockstar game still belongs to Red Dead Redemption. The shooting in Red Dead may have also been better, at least more consistent. GTA V's shooting can be sloppy at times. While still one of the funnest games I've ever played, it certainly is far from perfect especially given the state of online. It may be the most fun and diverse GTA game, but I still consider Vice City to be the definitive GTA game.

“ Karting around with family or friends is some of the most fun you can have in gaming. Plenty of great tracks and characters on top of a fantastic soundtrack. DLC is well worth it and priced very reasonably in comparison to most games. Game runs smoothly and looks very nice with a giant color palate. My biggest gripe is that Battle Mode was ruined in this.

“ I have always liked pirates and this is probably the best pirate game ever, even if the story is lacking and the game doesn't always feel like Assassin's Creed. Naval battles made for some of the most fun I had in 2013. The fighting and stealth still leaves something to be desired. Enough following missions already!

“ Not perfect and the batmobile is certainly overdone, but it is a fine conclusion to the Arkham series. The Arkham Knight and Scarecrow disappoint, but Batman's psychological struggle does not. Shame about the PC disaster as well. Thank god for the new refund system.

“ I've still got many hours of play left, but I've played enough to get the big picture. I like many cannot help but feel a bit disappointed. It is a good game no doubt, but what Bethesda got away with years ago does not fly now. Graphics are decent enough, not great. The true issue is the poor performance and optimization. It runs quite poorly on consoles, but even good PC's have problems. If the game looked amazing I would understand, but it simply looks average to decent.

The dialogue is also watered down and so is the roleplaying, especially when compared to New Vegas. Disappointing, but it's still Fallout. The atmosphere and exploring is still the game's strength. Good game for sure, but not a masterpiece. Hopefully DLC falls more in line with 3 and NV.

“ Very similar to Far Cry 3, but I loved Far Cry 3. The game could have probably used some more polish though, because the story is just kind of there. Overall I missed Vaas and the jungle setting. Far Cry 4 is very good, but it also feels safe. It doesn't really raise the bar any higher than 3 did a few years ago.

“ I have never really played these types of games, but I got it free with PS+. It's creepy, and the story lasted a number of hours. It does get repetitive near the end and the ending was lame. My favorite part is when you meet a certain doctor. Give this one a go.

“ Better than Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, but I think I'm finally growing out of COD. It just isn't great enough to keep me coming back. I'll be back when more zombie maps get released, but I got bored of this one quick. The campaign is ambitious for COD, although deeply flawed and not that fun either. Zombies is great if you have the Giant. Shadows of Evil is not that good. The multiplayer is bogged down by the specialists and mediocre maps that feel too small yet again. Matchmaking is also strange and you will have a tough time winning games if you play alone. Pretty good game overall with a fair amount of content compared to something like Battlefront, but I long for a simpler COD once more.

“ I've put in a number of hours into muliplayer, survival, and I beat the campaign on Veteran, and I can safely say it's better than Ghosts.

The campaign was decent, but nothing exceptional. I wouldn't say it was the best COD campaign by any stretch, but better than Ghosts. It feels like it could have been better, as even Kevin Spacey's character was pretty generic by not being as good as Makarov or Menendez.

Exo Survival is decent, but contains very little replay value once you play the map a few times.

The multiplayer isn't exactly for me, but I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy its frantic chaos. I have always relied on strategy and map-awareness in COD. That doesn't work so well here, because the Exo makes things crazy. Spawns are crappy. Maps are small and flow poorly with the Exo. Skill based matchmaking makes you feel like you are playing competitively 90% of the time whether you want to or not. Connections can also be trash because of this.

Multiplayer continues to be dominated by just a handful of guns and the variants only make balance worse. SHG has showed it will not majorly fix this game.
