The people being demanded for the roles and the ones who SHOULD be demanded for the roles. Here's some people you will never see on this list- Ryan Gosling (just no), William Levy, Robert Pattinson, Chris Pine, and Christian Bale.
1. Henry Cavill
Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born on the Bailiwick of Jersey, a British Crown dependency in the Channel Islands. His mother, Marianne (Dalgliesh), a housewife, was also born on Jersey, and is of Irish, Scottish and English ancestry. Henry's father, Colin Richard Cavill, a stockbroker, is of ...
Christian Grey: UPDATE: Henry has met with producers of 50 Shades of Grey and E.L. James has publicly supported him on her official Facebook; he has also recently been spotted with copper highlights in his hair and is also known for his method acting and getting into roles ahead of time (just a hint). Top choice for Christian Grey, if you aren't convinced, watch this...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKqFMxdN3Pc. I really think the casting should boil down to Cavill and Bomer just because of the vibe they give off and the physical attributes. If you google or stalk tumblr for some pictures of him, he just has that grin that says "We aim to please" all over his face. Look him up on tumblr or google and watch him in the Tutors to understand the choice here.
2. Matt Bomer
Actor | The Normal Heart
Matthew Staton Bomer was born in Webster Groves, Greater St. Louis, Missouri, to Elizabeth Macy (Staton) and John O'Neill Bomer IV, a Dallas Cowboys draft pick. Matt was raised in Spring, Texas, and educated at Klein High School, near Houston. After school, he attended Carnegie Mellon University in...
Christian Grey: Another more obvious choice. I personally think he is a little too pretty and his face is a little too soft to play Christian but the facial features and the eyes are a huge bonus, almost enough to seriously consider him
Actor | The Vampire Diaries
Ian Somerhalder was born and raised in the small southern town of Covington, Louisiana. His mother, Edna (née Israel), is a massage therapist, and his father, Robert Somerhalder, is a building contractor. He has Cajun (French), English, and Scots-Irish ancestry. Boating, swimming, fishing and ...
Christian Grey: I'm adding this due to popular demand, but I strongly disagree with this idea. Christian and Damon are too similar of characters for Somerhalder to play. I think it would get old very fast and it would feel like watching the Vampire Diaries, hold the vampires and add a lot of sex in a red room of pain. UPDATE: Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder would ONLY take the roles if they were a package deal.
Actress | Texas Chainsaw 3D
Alexandra Anna Daddario was born on March 16, 1986 in New York City, New York, to Christina, a lawyer, and Richard Daddario, a prosecutor. Her brother is actor Matthew Daddario, and her grandfather was congressman Emilio Daddario (Emilio Q. Daddario), of Connecticut. She has Italian, Irish, ...
Anastasia Steele: The more time goes on, the more I really want Alexandra to play Anastasia. I just have a good feeling about that pick especially if she were paired with Henry Cavill
Actress | Gilmore Girls
Kimberly Alexis Bledel was born in Houston, Texas, to Nanette (Dozier) and Martin Bledel. Her parents are both Spanish-speakers (her mother was born in Arizona and raised in Mexico, and her father was born in Argentina), and Alexis's ancestry includes Danish, Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, and ...
This would be the absolute last resort in my opinion, I think she would have been a really great candidate but her acting has never been convincing and she has that same whiney tone in every single movie. I can't even sit through one of them. She is someone who can only play an adolescent-like character. I doubt she'd even agree to do any of the scenes in the movie. She's just been way too commercialized and always gets thrown into a rom-com. I really wouldn't want to see her play Anastasia.
Actress | Underground
Jessica grew up in Australia. After moving to Los Angeles, she successfully auditioned for a role in the action-adventure series, Arrow as Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress. Following this, Jessica starred in NBC's Dracula opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Jessica regularly works in Australia, her ...
Anastasia Steele: Not the first pick when judging by a glance but look up some pictures and it's clear that this would be a good selection.
Actress | Girls
Allison Howell Williams, born April 13, 1988, is an American actress, comedian, and singer. She is best known for her role as "Marnie Michaels" on the HBO comedy-drama series, Girls (2012). Williams was born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, and is the daughter of former NBC Nightly News ...
Actress | Expecting Amish
Aurelia Scheppers was born on September 12, 1988 in Santa Clara County, California, USA as Aurelia Marie Scheppers. She is an actress, known for Expecting Amish (2014), 11/11/11 (2011) and Parenthood (2010).
Anastasia Steele: After doing a little research, I feel that she would be a PERFECT decision. Go like her page on Facebook and check out some of her work. What do you think? I think it's a perfect fit for the role
Actress | Coronation Street
Anastasia Steele: So there's no picture for this actress, but you should totally take the time to google her because she could really be Anastasia. She looks more mature than Alexis Bledel (and hopefully sounds more mature as well) and she literally fits the description that E.L. James gave in the book.
10. Lyndsy Fonseca
Actress | Kick-Ass
Lyndsy Marie Fonseca was born in Oakland, California, and was raised first in Alameda and then Moraga, California. Lyndsy competed in the International Modeling & Talent Association, where she was recognized as the second runner-up for "Young Miss Dancer of the Year" and was the first runner-up for...
Anastasia: (Don't judge based off of IMDB picture of her) I think that Lyndsy Fonseca would be a good choice for Anastasia. She can work the no makeup look and pull off the innocent look while still maintaining the stature of a woman. It would work perfectly.
11. Blake Lively
Actress | The Age of Adaline
Blake Lively was born Blake Ellender Brown in Tarzana, California, to a show business family. Her mother, Elaine Lively (née McAlpin), is an acting coach and talent manager, and her father, Ernie Lively (born Ernest Wilson Brown, Jr.), is an actor and teacher. Her brother is actor Eric Lively, and ...
Kate Kavanagh: This is an interactive list and i've added this since a lot of people have suggested this actress, however, she has so much star power and I think it may be distracting to have her in the movie as such a small role in comparison to others such as Mrs. Robinson, Christian and Ana. She may be a little bit too A-List for this role, but I do agree that physically she fits the bill.
12. Teresa Palmer
Actress | I Am Number Four
Actress and model Teresa Palmer has gathered some impressive film credits. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia, to Kevin Palmer, an investor, and Paula Sanders, a former missionary and nurse. She completed high school at Mercedes College in 2003, where she was a popular student who was ...
Kate Kavanagh: Kind of a long-shot option, but I think it would work out really well. Kind of has that perfect natural beauty that Anastasia describes in Kate. I would like to see her get this role.
13. Dianna Agron
Actress | The Family
Dianna Elise Agron was born in Savannah, Georgia, to parents Ronald and Mary Agron. She grew up in a middle class family, in Savannah, before moving to Texas, and later, San Francisco, California, due to her father's career as a general manager for Hyatt. Dianna and her brother, Jason, were raised ...
Kate Kavanaugh: I think this would be a really good choice for the character of Kate, but keep in mind this can't happen if Alex Pettyfer plays Elliot, for a number of reasons.
14. Laura Ramsey
Actress | The Ruins
Laura Jill Ramsey was born in Brandon, Wisconsin. After arriving in LA at the age of 19 and a stint of gypsy living, Laura was "discovered" while waiting tables and was sent out the next day on her first audition. She booked the job and her career has been dotted by strong and consistent work, ever...
Kate Kavanagh: naturally beautiful, peppy, bubbly, and strong. Laura Ramsey would literally be the most perfect selection for Kate.
Actress | The Green Inferno
The youngest of four children, she grew up in The Woodlands, Texas, and started her career doing modeling and commercials in nearby Houston. After doing some month-long stunts in Los Angeles, she moved there permanently with her mother. Her first name was given because her parents expected her to ...
Kate Kavanagh: Another great fresh face to take on the naturally beautiful character of Kate. She is bubbly enough and definitely pretty enough. She is also not TOO well known which could create a distraction from the lead roles.
16. Sharon Stone
Actress | Basic Instinct
Sharon Yvonne Stone was born and raised in Meadville, a small town in Pennsylvania, to Dorothy Marie (Lawson), an accountant and homemaker, and Joseph William Stone II, a factory worker. Her father was strict. She was the second of four children, and has English, German, Scottish, and Irish ...
Mrs. Robinson: I like this selection because she has the features of Mrs. Robinson without being too predictable or too far fetched. However, this still seems a little unrealistic because she looks a little too old to pull of Mrs. Robinson in a way...
17. Charlize Theron
Actress | Monster
Charlize Theron was born in Benoni, a city in the greater Johannesburg area, in South Africa, the only child of Gerda Theron (née Gerda Jacoba Aletta Maritz) and Charles Jacobus Theron. She was raised on a farm outside the city. Theron is of Afrikaner (Dutch, with some French Huguenot and German) ...
Mrs. Robinson (Elena Lincoln): Judging by Theron's recent role as the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman, it is clear that she is fully capable to take on a role such as this. It would be an ideally good fit if not perfect. She is a little too young for the role but Mrs. Robinson evidently looks good for her age as well... but she would totally have to get a little more edgy.
18. Uma Thurman
Actress | Kill Bill: Vol. 1
Uma Karuna Thurman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, into a highly unorthodox and Eurocentric family. She is the daughter of Nena Thurman (née Birgitte Caroline von Schlebrügge), a fashion model and socialite who now runs a mountain retreat, and of Robert Thurman (Robert Alexander Farrar Thurman),...
Mrs. Robinson: Kind of a last resort, but it would work out
19. Naomi Watts
Actress | Mulholland Dr.
Naomi Ellen Watts was born on September 28, 1968 in Shoreham, England, to Myfanwy Edwards "Miv" (Roberts), an antiques dealer and costume/set designer, and Peter Watts (Peter Anthony Watts), the road manager to Pink Floyd. Her maternal grandfather was Welsh. Her father died when Naomi was seven and...
Mrs. Robinson: Might still be a little young for the role but I think she'd do a great job pulling it off as opposed to someone so predictable like Kim Catrall
20. Ryan McPartlin
Actor | Chuck
Ryan McPartlin was born on July 3, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is an actor, known for Chuck (2007), J. Edgar (2011) and Super Capers: The Origins of Ed and the Missing Bullion (2009). He has been married to Danielle Kirlin since October 26, 2002.
Elliot Grey: Good idea for Elliot, not too famous, not too unknown to steal the scene; nice fresh face and charming enough for the role
21. Liam Hemsworth
Actor | The Hunger Games
Liam Hemsworth was born on January 13, 1990, in Melbourne, Australia, and is the younger brother of actors Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth. He is the son of Leonie (van Os), a teacher of English, and Craig Hemsworth, a social-services counselor. He is of Dutch (from his immigrant maternal ...
Elliot Grey: I don't even know if/how this would work... but I think it could be done and he'd be a really good option for the role. Plus he seems like a fun guy (like Elliot) and fun to look at (like Elliot).
22. Drew Van Acker
Actor | Pretty Little Liars
Drew Van Acker was born in Philadelphia, but lived in Medford, New Jersey his entire life. He began acting in high school drama classes, where he also played on his school's soccer and lacrosse teams. His soccer abilities led him to receive a soccer scholarship to Towson University in Maryland. ...
Elliot Grey: I don't watch Pretty Little Liars, but apparently Drew Van Acker was on it. Assuming his role on that show isn't a huge one, I think he'd be a really good candidate for Elliot.
23. Steven Strait
Actor | The Covenant
Steven Strait was born on March 23, 1986 in New York City, New York, the son of Jean (Viscione) and Richard Dyer Strait. He is of half English and half Italian descent. As a child, Steven grew up in Grenwich Village with his family. He attended Xavier High School and enrolled himself at the Stella ...
Jose: If you haven't seen the covenant, then you should, because you will understand why Steven Strait could totally work as Jose. He's not too gorgeous to steal Christian's thunder, but he's just cute enough to have that Jacob/Edward tension looming in the film
24. Diego Boneta
Actor | Rock of Ages
Diego Andrés González Boneta was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to engineers Lauro Andrés González Lima and Astrid Boneta López. His father is Mexican, and his mother was born in the U.S., to a Puerto Rican father and a Spanish mother.
Diego began his career at the age of 12 when he participated in "...
Jose: this needs to be Jose. Or at least someone as attractive as him so we don't under appreciate his role in the series. Lets not forget, he is also supposed to be that hot boy next door type... not just the sad suitor who never scores his woman. He has some serious potential.
25. Michael Rady
Michael Rady was born on August 20, 1981 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He is an actor, known for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), The Guardian (2006) and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008).
Jose would be a very fitting character for Rady. He has that everyday boy look to him, isn't too gorgeous to pose as a legitimate threat to Christian
26. Phoebe Tonkin
Actress | Tomorrow, When the War Began
Tonkin was born in Sydney. When she was four, she attended dance courses in classical ballet, hip hop, contemporary dance, and tap dance. At the age of 12, Tonkin began courses at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) at the Wharf Theatre. Tonkin attended Loreto Kirribilli and later ...
Leila: breakout actress who could use a new fresh role
27. Alexis Knapp
Actress | Pitch Perfect
Alexis Merizalde Knapp hails from Allegheny in Pennsylvania. She worked as a model before breaking into acting, starting with small roles in Couples Retreat (2009) and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010). She also came to public attention during a high-profile relationship...
Leila: has that menacing look with some sharp features to spice things up. She could also use this role to merge into more mature roles.
28. Camilla Belle
Actress | Practical Magic
Belle was born as Camilla Belle Routh in Los Angeles, California, to Deborah, a fashion designer, and Jack Wesley Routh, who composed country music and owns a construction company. Her mother is Brazilian and her father, who is from Kingman, Kansas, has English, German, and French ancestry. Camilla...
Mia Grey: I really like this idea of Mia Grey because it's someone who can actually act and could really make Mia's role their own. Camilla isn't 100% physically resembling Mia like Lucy Hale is but she has a really striking beauty to her kind of in the way that Christian and his family do
29. Alexis Dziena
Actress | When in Rome
Dziena studied theatre in New York at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she wrote and acted in plays and was cast in her first role on television at the age of 17.
From 'E's' crazy, jealous girlfriend on HBO's Entourage to 'Lolita' parading around in the...
Mia Grey: She could 100% own that spunky and sassy attitude that Mia has in the book and bring it to life. No doubt in my mind, especially after seeing Nick and Norah.
30. Lucy Hale
Actress | Scream 4
Lucy Hale is an American actress and singer. She was born Karen Lucille Hale in Memphis, Tennessee, to Julia (Caperton) Knight and John Preston Hale. She started out as a singer, appearing on American Juniors (2003) in a search for band members. She successfully won her place in the band. The group...
Mia Grey: A lot of people have been saying she's good for Anastasia's role... I disagree. Due to Pretty Little Liars being so focused on the teen audience, she's going to be pegged there automatically even as an actress on the big screen. Lucy is still stuck in that teen genre and Anastasia needs to be a full-on woman discovering herself... this is unrealistic for Lucy Hale to portray.
31. Sela Ward
Actress | Gone Girl
Hallelujah for Sela. Everyone's favorite "Sister" was born Sela Ann Ward, on July 11, 1956, in Meridian, Mississippi. Sela's parents were Annie Kate (Boswell) and Granberry Holland Ward, Jr., an electrical engineer; the three younger children in the family are Jenna (1957), Berry (1959) and Brock (...
Grace Grey: Perfect for the role of Christian's mother. Kind eyes and has never been the villain type or the goofy kind. Perfect.
32. Caroline Goodall
Actress | Hook
Born in Britain to Australian parents, Caroline Goodall is internationally known as a leading actress who has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters of the last fifteen years, including Schindler's List (1993), Hook (1991), Cliffhanger (1993), Disclosure (1994), White Squall (1996) and The ...
Grace Grey: Elegant and classy-looking woman who holds a very similar stature to that of Grace's in the book. Could just be a vibe but I have a feeling it would work well.
Actor | Good Will Hunting
Stellan Skarsgård was born in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden, to Gudrun (Larsson) and Jan Skarsgård. He became a star in his teens through the title role in the TV-series Bombi Bitt och jag (1968). Between the years 1972-88 he was employed at The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, where...
Carrick Grey: Seems like a mildly suitable actor for this role
34. Andrew Lincoln
Actor | The Walking Dead
Andrew Lincoln is a British actor. Lincoln spent his early childhood in Hull, Yorkshire before his family relocated to Bath, Somerset when he was age 10. He was educated at Beechen Cliff School in Bath, and then the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. His father is a civil engineer...
Jason Taylor: suave and intelligent looking, could totally pull of Taylor's role
35. Zach Roerig
Actor | The Gifted
Zachary George Roerig plays Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries, and is also known for his roles on TV series As The World Turns and One Life To Live. Roerig was born in Montpelier, Ohio to Daniel and Andrea Roerig in 1985. He attended Montpelier High school where he played both football and was ...
Paul Clayton: Anastasia's co-worker at Clayton's who is clear in his intentions to swoon her. All-American boy type with a bright future, just not with her.
36. Alex Pettyfer
Actor | I Am Number Four
Alexander Richard Pettyfer was born in Hertfordshire and raised in Windsor. His mother, Lee (Robinson), is an interior designer. His father, Richard Pettyfer, is a fellow actor. His parents divorced and Alex now has a younger half-brother, James, from his mother's re-marriage to a property ...
Ethan Kavanagh: If Alex Pettyfer must be in this movie for the girl fans then he should play Elliot Grey, NOT Christian
37. Gale Harold
Actor | Queer as Folk
Gale Harold was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. After studying photography and printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, Harold began studying acting at the suggestion of writer and producer Susie Landau Finch, who at the time was working at American Zoetrope. After three years of ...
38. Scott Speedman
Actor | Underworld
Scott Speedman was born in London, England, to Scottish parents, Mary (Campbell), a primary school teacher, and Roy Speedman, a department store buyer. He grew up in Toronto, Canada. He was an aspiring swimmer and held a record amongst the best for distance freestyle, unfortunately, an accident put...
Jack Hyde: would be a good fit for the role.
39. Cillian Murphy
Actor | 28 Days Later...
Striking Irish actor Cillian Murphy was born in Douglas, the oldest child of Brendan Murphy, who works for the Irish Department of Education, and a mother who is a teacher of French. He has three younger siblings. Murphy was educated at Presentation Brothers College, Cork. He went on to study law ...
Jack Hyde: he could pull off this role easily, but its kind of typical for him so it might just be old material to the new audience.
40. Kevin Bacon
Actor | Footloose
Kevin Norwood Bacon was born on July 8, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ruth Hilda (Holmes), an elementary school teacher, and Edmund Norwood Bacon, a prominent architect who was on the cover of Time Magazine in November 1964.
Kevin's early training as an actor came from The Manning Street. ...
Jack Hyde: assuming a more aged man was chosen to play Jack, Kevin Bacon could do a good job.
