Best Horror Movie by Year

I watch a lot of movies and I love to hit up a ton of horror movies every September/October. Below is my list of top horror movie by year(though not all would classify as horror). I include any type of sub-genre. Horror-Comedy, Space Horror, Thrillers.

If you have any suggestions for me to watch in years with a weak selection or with no selection at all. Leave a comment.

Thanks.

“ A mainstream pick this year. But The Conjuring has everything you want in a horror film nowadays. Some great actors as well. The setting was perfect. The only thing really missing is a great ending.

Overall a decent year for horror.

Honorable Mentions:

“ I know this pick is very divided. But it isn't cookie cutter stuff and deserves top billing. A genre-breaking horror film. Throws the kitchen sink (and Sigourney Weaver) at you.

Overall a great year for horror in 2012. Can't go wrong with any of the honorable mentions.

Honorable Mentions:
1) Dentention
