James Marsters
James graduated from Davis High School and attended Juilliard, the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, and the American Conservatory Theatre. After spending ten years doing stage work he finally moved to L.A. to pursue a career in film and television. After appearing in several guest roles he finally got his big break as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer...
“ James Marsters' BTVS character Spike aka William the Bloody will always and forever remain the king of all vampire characters.

Charm: His love for Buffy moved him so profoundly that he went on a potentially lethal quest to regain his soul in order to win her affections. The British accent, the leather jacket, the cheekbones, the perfectly timed sense of humor, and those piercing eyes were added perks. Most importantly, he was willing to sacrifice himself to save the world and never complained about it. What's more, he made a terrific villain who aroused both terror and sexual tension within Buffy and the viewers.

Furthermore, Marsters' superior dramatic acting abilities added great depth to Spike, which is evident through only six syllables: "Every night I save you."

Points off for: Loving Drusilla, unsightly vampire face ” - BlackSnowflake

“ Geraint Wyn Davies can perhaps be regarded as the poetic forefather of all modern vampire fiction.

Forever Knight: The extremely well-written and intricately artistic show Forever Knight was way ahead of its time with its vampire-human liaisons and stylish crime-fighting. Nicholas Knight, aka Nicholas de Brabant, sought redemption for 700+ years of sin through his gritty life as an honorable Toronto police detective. The theme of redemption is often prevalent with benevolent vampire characters, and Wyn Davies portrayed it masterfully. Forever Knight was certainly one of the top five vampire shows ever made, somewhere alongside Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blood Ties, Angel, and The Vampire Diaries. The flashback historical scenes were especially intriguing to watch.

Charm: Nicholas’ loyalty to his friends, including Natalie, Janette, and Tracy, and his unwavering resolve to stay abstinent from sin and murder through his life of saving lives and drinking cow blood, made him an incredibly noble character. His sparkling blue eyes, blonde hair, and rugged physique added to his appeal. Moreover, despite the shortcomings created by his vampiric side, Nicholas had a heart of gold and an always cheerful sense of humor which he used to hide his true, buried “tortured soul” persona. But at the same time, he was not afraid of melancholia and indulged in it privately through his piano and artistic musings. The broody and artistic side of the character gave him incredible depth and complexity. Sexual tension was also not lacking; the chemistry and endless flirtation between him and Janette (Deborah Duchene) was tantalizing to watch and greatly added to the sex appeal of the show.

As far as abilities go, Nicholas was certainly at the top of the vampire food chain. Though unable to walk in the sun, he could FLY like a superhero. The glowing green vampire eyes and lovely fangs were the only changes between Nick’s Jekyll and Hyde, making for the most beautiful vampire character yet. His strength was evident through the fact that he had developed almost perfect control over his darker self.

Points off for: Not fighting harder against LaCroix’s control and not trying harder to kill him; falling for Natalie at the end of the show (this is not a spoiler, trust me) ” - BlackSnowflake
