8/10. 1st=I HATE musicals!!! 2nd=I LOVE this movie!!! Should it have not have be recorded with the live sound? YES it should, the emotion gets much more depth, and... well, emotional! Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe are absolutely incredible! Anne Hattaway... was she good? Yep, very much so. But Oscar nomination? For 10 minutes in the movie? Ahright I don't give a *beep* This movie has a beautiful photography, and all the music sounds right alongside one another. And most of all the movie just flows, 2h30m just goes by like it was a 1h30m movie! It's just great. P.S: I'll start reading the book after writing this.
2. Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

Votes: 581,066 | Gross: $132.09M
8/10. WOW! What a surprise, this movie has a beautiful color, and the shots are beautifully studied and put together! Jennifer Lawrence is amazing in this, just absolutely astounding. Robert De Niro is fantastic as well, is a character that immediately makes you love him. Bradley Cooper plays a very difficult character, which makes me give him even more credit, his life is so complicated, and he gets through his stuff, in a very natural and fluid way. This movie is amazing, really everything works for me on this one.
3. Django Unchained (2012)
R | 165 min | Drama, Western
With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.
Votes: 1,085,472 | Gross: $162.81M
9/10. This goes immediately to Nº3 on the Top 3 of Tarantino movies. Christoph Waltz and Leo Dicaprio are phenomenal, Waltz's character was even more of a boss than Landa. Jamie Foxx is such an awesome character, Django has such an awesome evolution in the way he sees thing through out the movie, is just very Tarantino like (that means it' good). Samuel L. Jackson, everytime he spoke he just cracked me up, such hate able and funny character, I couldn't stop laughing. This movie is amazing, a masterpiece in cinematic history, goes down has one of the greats.
4. The Impossible (2012)
PG-13 | 114 min | Drama, Thriller
The story of a tourist family in Thailand caught in the destruction and chaotic aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
Votes: 162,533 | Gross: $19.02M
10/10. A beautifully filmed cinematic experienced to go watch with your family, the sound in this is amazingly put together. And emotion just pours out of the characters, and there for out of you, throughout the whole movie! Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts's performances are amazingly overflown with emotion and completly take you and leave you breathless, two of the most beautiful and classic exemples of acting that I've ever seen. The kid playing Lucas? He's got a future, from what I had heard before watching the movie I thought I'd see a lot more, thought I'd be more impressed, but the kid was still really good. But maybe beacuse of the perfectionism of McGregor & Watts's acting I was brought down when it comes to the kid. Go watch this movie, you will experience a great movie with a very emotional story, impressive acting (to say the list) and you will be taken down by the many times you cry.
5. Lincoln (2012)
PG-13 | 150 min | Biography, Drama, History
As the War continues to rage, America's president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves.
Votes: 213,241 | Gross: $182.21M
10/10. I cannot even describe how impressed and overthrown by this movie, Spielberg was able to blow my mind after years of fanboyship! First of all, the visuals are PERFECT, I cannot express this enough, but when I say PERFECT, I mean P.E.R.F.E.C.T.! Cinematography, photography, wardrobe, color, camera-shots! This movie is beautifully filmed, and above every other audo-visual production, nothing in this movie happens by accident, the sound is overwhelming, everything is put together with by, what I assume by the result, the greatest working sound team in hollywood today! Daniel Day Lewis, right now, in my mind, he IS the greatest actor who ever lived, he freaking IS Abraham Lincoln, his voice, the way he stands, the way he walks, the way he sits, the way he is around other characters or alone, the way he stares into the void, and the emotion he brings on to both the movie and you is amazing. Everytime he stand with someone else on screen, he puts the chemistry between the characters in action! This movie has absolutly no flaws! Lincoln is Spielberg's masterpiece and can already be considered part of my DVD collection.
6. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013)
R | 88 min | Action, Fantasy, Horror

Votes: 172,427 | Gross: $55.70M
8/10. Good God what the hell is it with all the hate? Were you expecting a goddamn Oscar winning movie? I wasn't I was looking for my type of movie, action, fairy-tale gone gore, badass character filled, good 3D experience movie! Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters brings you all of that. Now I went to see this with my best friend, who happened to had never watch a 3D before in his life. Well lucky him, I happen to be one of the few people who like 3D in this world and this movie has given me one of the best 3D experience in my life so far, if not the best! Two of my favorite working actors today, Renner & Arterton, completly steal the parts, but I think Hansel's diabetes problem just had no payoff at all and therefor ended up making no sense in the story, I also didn't like the little "romance", if you wanna use that word, that happened between Edward and Gretel, just... I don't know, if the point was just to turn him good I think there could've been other ways, and better ones too. Still, you want a good, fun, action packed movie, go watch this, go gore, go badass! Go Witch hunting!
7. Warm Bodies (2013)
PG-13 | 98 min | Comedy, Horror, Romance
After a highly unusual zombie saves a still-living girl from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion events that might transform the entire lifeless world.
Votes: 198,068 | Gross: $66.38M
7/10. So much fun, I had such a great time watching this, I can't even believe there are still people who call this Twilight for Zombies, who clearly have no sense of judgment or know what a movie is (in this case a book), and in this case a GOOD movie (or a GOOD book). Nicholas Hoult has an amazingly bright future in front of him, and I'm a huge fan of Teresa Palmer, what can I say? I have a thing for australians. This movie is filled with diversed and fun characters who keep this movie experience alive and interesting. I hope there IS indeed a sequel, I hope the person who wrote the book writes the screenplay, I hope they keep the cast, and I hope they keep the director. Watch this, have fun, your money will be well spent!
8. Hitchcock (2012)
PG-13 | 98 min | Biography, Drama
Votes: 64,610 | Gross: $6.01M
8/10. A very nit piece of cinema that shows you, not only the process of movie making, but the process of making one of the finest movies in the history of cinema, in the prespective of one of the finest directors/men, that have ever been involved in this industry. Hitchcock is a biopic filmed with emense notion of what to catch in camera and how to do it, everytime Anthony Hopkins appears on screen, he does it in the classical Hitchock(y) way, appearfrom either the right orleft edge of the screen, facing the opposite side on which he appears. Anthony Hopkins steals the role completly he is absolutly perfect for this, and Helen Mirren has made me a fan of hers, I always thought she was a good actress but I don't think I could consider myself a fan. Every scene Hopkins and Mirren were in together were simple impecable! They had so much chemistry, they stole the parts not only when they appeared with other characters, but even more wehn together, looking in each others eyes, they completely, utterly, become their characters.
9. A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)
R | 98 min | Action, Thriller
John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.
Votes: 177,138 | Gross: $67.35M
7/10. Another good celebration of the characters we all love so much, and his incredible amount of badassitude. John McClane is back to kick ass and now his son joins him when doing so. I'm a big Jay Courtney fan ever since Spartacus and I love Die Hard therefore, just the casting bought me. Now the movie has is flaws, it's just a simple action movie, no big villain so to speak, weak character that don't have much of a payoff at the end of the day, and an ending that just leaves you thinking: "ok that's not right... Something's missing here...". But this movie still contains all the action packed sequences and McClane stunts that we love so much, if you are a die hard fan of the Die Hard franchise there's only one way that you'll look at this, just like me, you'll LOVE IT!
10. Broken City (2013)
R | 109 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller
In a city rife with injustice, ex-cop Billy Taggart seeks redemption and revenge after being double-crossed and then framed by its most powerful figure: Mayor Nicholas Hostetler.
Votes: 68,150 | Gross: $19.70M
7/10. A good paced, yet a little too simple of a thriller, I love Mark Whalberg in these types of roles, and it was about type that Russell Crowe played a villain, I just wished he had showed more of his character in a direct way, and not in a indirect, subtle, sujestive way. I hadn't seen Catherine Zeta-Jones in years, and after this... I don't miss her at all! She could'vestayed home, her character annoyed me, but not so much as her acting. Jeffrey Wright's character looked so much that he was going to betray Billy that when he ended up no doing so, I gotta tell you, I got kinda pissed. Still it's a good two hour cinema trip.
11. Gangster Squad (2013)
R | 113 min | Action, Crime, Drama
It's 1949 Los Angeles, the city is run by gangsters and a malicious mobster, Mickey Cohen. Determined to end the corruption, John O'Mara assembles a team of cops, ready to take down the ruthless leader and restore peace to the city.
Votes: 185,728 | Gross: $46.00M
8/10. Talk about underrated... This movie is so fraking fantastic! I have to say that I am NOT! a fan o Sean Penn's, and he completly stole the movie here, I absolutly loved Mickey Cohen, he's such and AWESOME badass villain! And I gotta say that Josh Brolin equals Penn's performance in this, to me Borlin's one of those actors that he so good that I'll just go watch a movie to see him perform, luckily, this movie can stand on its own feet and doesn't depend on Borlin alone. I wish I could've seen more of Goslin's character develop and that he had been in the final shoot out. Emma Stone is my favorite actress in this "new generation" that is out there right now, and she plays her part beautifully, what I feel I didn't get from her character is not her fault the writer's, she could've been put in a hostage situation or something like that. Robert Patrick plays in this the typical comedic relief character that every thriller needs, and he does it very smoothly, Giovanni Ribisy's character left me devastated when he just died like that, I told myself immideatly he was gonna die when he first appeared but I didn't expect such a weak goodbye to the character. Gangster Squad is the gangster movie that many people have been waiting for, go see it, it's most defnetly worth it!
