A friend said to me that I would probably like this movie, that it seemed sort of my taste, and that I reminded them a little of the main character. So I went and watched it. I was thrown right into a harmony of sounds and pictures. All the different idioms, metaphors and expressions that I had never heard of really intrigued me, and the language is a real charm about this movie. I love it for the experimental cinematography, the diverse characters, the somewhat complicated story and especially the exotic communication between the characters. Brendan is also one of the coolest main characters I've beheld.

Potential all-time favorite scene: The magnificent schoolyard chase.

My fascination for this movie grew over time. The scenes are trying your patience at times, but fortunately I found that to be worthwhile. And, as we all know, this is Sofia Coppola, so there's pretty much no way I'm not going to appreciate it anyway. Elle Fanning is wonderful.

The you-know-what scene was pure euphoria for the hipster part of my brain. Everybody just didn't give a fuq about morals, a result of mind-blowing proportions!

This film has the honor of taunting such emotion in me that I let the tears roll for the first time to a film. I was 12, in love and easily swayed, so I guess it was a good time to break the barrier. The love-ridden connection between Tristan and Isolde was excruciating.

Grshhh, ow ow ow! Love hurts, but in this movie it burns your flesh to crisp and sticks sharp needles under your nails! And what an insanely tolerant main character. On another note, Jonny Greenwood really nailed the mood in this one.

Terrible acting. Tactless editing. Ridiculous dialogue. Awkward pacing. Teenage clichés. Amateurish use of music (which basically consists of mediocre indie pop songs). But somehow, I fell for this movie.
