This list encapsulates all of the movies that I consider my favorite, in no particular order. This list not only includes my favorite movies of today but my favorite movies growing up as well, which my not be my favorite today.

“ I never had the desire to watch Kick Ass when it first came out. I thought it was gonna be one of those cheesy, poorly-made satires with the sole purpose to make fun of super hero movies. Also, when I saw the trailer, something about Hit-girl really annoyed me. But then, just a few months ago, I came across the movie on IMDb. The movie had a 7.9 rating. That is insanely high for a movie I thought nothing of. So, decided to watch it. And boy, was I happy I did! It was insanely (sorry to do this) Kick Ass! It instantly became one of my favorites of all time. It is one of the few movies that masterfully perfected the amount of action (without overdoing it) in a film. Two complaints though. One, the sex scene between Dave and Katie in the back of the store was quite awkward. Two, it was also very awkward when Mindy said to Damon "I'm just *beep* with you, daddy." Those two parts probably should have been done away with or at least fixed to make it less awkward.
But nonetheless, this movie is amazing and is one of a very few super hero movies that I truly enjoy.

The thing about this movie, there are many ways it could have gone horribly wrong, but instead, it walks the tight rope perfectly on its way to becoming one of the gems of the 1990's. “ It was quite embarrassing when I first saw this movie. Never in a million years would I have thought an Adam Sandler movie would make me cry, which is something I never do. But there I was, at the movie theater, crying my eyes out. This movie really hit me in an emotional way because it helped me realize that time never stops. I mean, of course time doesn't stop, anybody knows that. But I know I get so caught up in the fast lane that I forget to spend the time I have with friends and family wisely because that chance may never come again. The movie instantly became one of my favorites because any movie that can make me think the way this movie did deserves a spot on my favorites list. Was it a perfect movie? Far from it. All I really knew was the title. But after the first 20 minutes of watching the movie, it all started to make sense, and I was liking it. Jennifer Aniston played a role I never would have guessed. And she pulled it off. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know it was her until half way through the movie. Kevin Spacey is always phenomenal and this movie is no different. By the end of the movie, I realized this movie might be one of the best comedies of 2011, if not the best. ” - nmas2009

So when I finally got to see it, I was thrilled. I never realized that the plot was not that great until when I got older. All I cared about was the hot girls and the hot cars. But either way, it became the foundation of several other movies that followed it, as many of you may know. The best of them (so far) is Fast 5 but its really interesting to see how far the series spreads out. Anyways, The Fast and the Furious is a fun movie that was made on the principle of family and the importance to have loved ones at your side. It also helped that my favorite car in the world growing up was the Nissan Skyline so to see Neil Walker driving one just made it that much better. ” - nmas2009

DJ Qualls came out of no where to play his role in the film and he did a great job for a new guy. Anyways, this movie is hilarious and it's great to sit back and watch with friends. ” - nmas2009

“ I can't really say why this movie is one of my favorites, to tell you the truth. I first watched it with my girlfriend over the summer and it wasn't anything special then. I saw it a few more times and each time I watched it, the more I enjoyed it. I am not a big Seth Rogan fan but he seemed to be very natural with his role. His friends in the movie annoyed me, especially Jay. He tried way too hard and it was uber annoying. On that note, Jodi was the most annoying and awkward of them all. Katherine Heigl is absolutely beautiful. She was the right choice for her role. My favorite character in the movie has to be Pete. He was just a laid back guy who I originally didn't see bonding very well with Ben but miraculously ending up doing so. Pete always seems to get nagged for everything by his paranoid wife (Debbie). I feel kinda bad for the guy. But anyways, I did enjoy this movie a lot. Is it my favorite movie ever? No. But when it comes to those raunchy, love comedies, this movie gets the nod over most. ” - nmas2009

I saw this movie before I saw transformers, so this was the movie that really brought Shia LaBeouf out of the Lewis Stevens character (Even Stevens) where he is looked upon as a young, amateur Disney star and into a baby-faced action hero for me. He still had that young innocence in this movie, but did a good job overall with his character. The story for the movie was unrealistic and couldn't be taken seriously. I mean, there is no way a computer could control everything it did in the movie. Way too many variables for even a computer to account for. Nonetheless, the movie always captures my attention which makes it a solid favorable. ” - nmas2009

I have no idea why but I probably saw this movie in 5 different classes because my teachers loved it. American Wedding was great as well but it didn't have the same naive feeling as AM1 and AM2 just because they were getting married, not college partying. I think the biggest issue with this movie was that it hard to identify with the humor that Adam Sandler brings because the movie's story focuses on serious issues, something that people aren't accustomed to seeing with Adam Sandler. I mean, are you supposed to be expecting to laugh a lot or are you supposed to see this movie from a serious point of view? The movie never really sets a consistent tone. The movie has many awkward parts to it, like when the two guy friends kiss for what seemed like an eternity. But when I was younger, I did very much like the movie. I have probably seen it over 300 times. It was just my fascination with skaters getting tripped by sticks and homeless people yelling that must have done it for me.
