Votes: 176,114 | Gross: $118.63M
Some call it a bad adaption but to me it's a fun film full of energy. The last book sucked anyway and didn't give us a good ending after reading 12 books! My only complaint is that John Lithgow would have made a much better Count Olaf than Jim Carrey. Carrey murders his parts where he's a character from a book by acting way more goofy than the character would act. He would have been perfect....if he didn't try so darn hard to be funny and steal the show!

Votes: 231,131 | Gross: $71.99M
To me this is actually a movie based on a Stephen King short story that's better....than the King version. I couldn't make much sense of the King short story. The movie is creepy and imaginative, just don't expect it to scare the crap out of you.

Votes: 559,095 | Gross: $217.58M
In the books they want to capture dragons to train from the start. In no way are the vikings dragon hunters! Yet, the movie is an example that you can hack a story to bits but still be tremendously entertaining.

King actually wanted this remake since he hated the Nicholson one, so if you want a version that's more like the book then this is for you. The original is scarier of course, but this version is some-what creepy with a sentimental ending.

Votes: 115,594 | Gross: $154.53M
This is supposed to be a laid back Jim Carrey doing the voice of Horton, yet Horton is a lot more hyper than I remember from the earlier cartoon short. Still, this is much better than the other Hollywood Dr. Seuss movies.

It's considered an awful adaption, but to me critics were ready to look for any reason to hate on the film. Some even picked on Tom Hanks'.....hair! The plot is silly, yet I find the film to be an interesting mystery.
