A recently-escaped bandit forms an unlikely alliance with two bounty hunters and an acrobat to get revenge against the people who framed him. (132 mins.)
“ This is a great movie: Wallach, Hill and Spencer in the same Spaghetti Western! Hill and Spencer really have to struggle not to let Wallach steal the show totally and they do manage to keep their place. Wallach does a Tuco type perfomance and is truely great. I don't know why they had to add a fourth man to the bunch. Brock Peters's Thomas has no chance in this company, good that he does not get that much screentime. There is a lack of a main bad guy, only three small ones. Nevertheless with the Wallach-Hill-Spencer trio there is no need for one. ” - ruirilho

“ Having the reputation of beeing the inspiration to Clint Eastwoods "High Plains Drifter" the movie has a lot to live up to. But it fails. It is often written that this movie is one of the top 10 Spaghetti Westerns. I disagree. It has no "atmosphere" at all, the town doesn't look like a "Spaghetti" town at all and it has this low budjet feeling all through. The Django title has nothing to do with the original Django movie. ” - ruirilho

A Chinese immigrant, recently arrived in America, fights to free Mexican slaves from their cruel master. (98 mins.)

“ The plot doesn't show much imagination from the writer. Basicly Shanghai Joe comes to the west, he goes from place to place, trouble to trouble. The Americans don't like him so he ends up in many fights. When Shanghai Joe helps some Mexican peons from slavery he get in trouble with Mr. Spencer. Spencer hires some professional gunslingers to take care of Shanghai Joe. Klaus Kinski and Gordon Mitchell stand out of these men and are great. Claudio Undari is also good as "Pedro the Cannibal". Kinskis character "Scalp Jack" gets my prize for the craziest madman in a Spaghetti Westerns. These are very small parts though, not much screen time, but they make the rating go up. ” - ruirilho

Other issues delt with are the nature and race.

Filmed in Russia, the locations fits well enough for the "northern" settings. The music fits the mood well and there are even some trumpets at the final showdown. Castellari's style slow motion violence and stunts that look like they hurt. ” - ruirilho

“ Although not really a western, because it is set in Spain, not the American Wild West, it gets close to the Spaghetti feel at times. The beginning is boring drama type movie without any Spaghetti Western action. When the outlaw part begins and when Klaus Kinski arrives it gets better. Carmen and Don José gets annoying real fast. You start pulling you hair and scream to Franco "What are you doing! Go dig up a machinegun and mow some people down!". Tina Aumont's femme fatale Carmen annoyed me even more. I hoped one of Tuco's friends would have appeared and said the familiar line from 'GBU' "-You just keep quiet old hen." ” - ruirilho

Director: Frank Kramer
“ Another failed sequel. Tries to imitate the great first Sabata movie in more than one way but fails in all of them. Sabata isn't as trigger happy as in the first one, the movie goes on for over an hour until he makes the first kills. Unless you count the 6 circus "kills" in beginning... Scheine tries to be what William Berger was in the first movie, playing both sides and his own. But doesn't even come close to William Bergers superb Banjo. Alot of the actors from the first Sabata movie are in this one too. We got the indian dude jumping from roofs again, this time he wears a suit. Well enough about comparing it to the first Sabata movie, it doesn't even come close. ” - ruirilho

Several competing groups and mavericks (including the lead character Cuchillo) are hunting a gold treasure of $3,000,000. The gold was reserved for the Mexican revolution. (120 mins.)
Director: Sergio Sollima
“ One of the political Spaghetti Westerns set in the Mexican Revolution. Cuchillo gets mixed up in a hunt for 3 million dollars in gold. He knows the location and gets everyone after him. Bandits, revolutionaries, bountuhunters and Cassidy. Who is more of the usual Spaghetti "hero" while Cuchillo is a poor mexican also featured in Sollimas earlier "The Big Gundown". I can't say that I like the Cuchillo character, without O'Brien I wouldn't have enjoyed the movie half as much as I did. Thumbs up for Donald. Too bad Sollima made Cassidys final duel such an anti-climax. ” - ruirilho
