My Favorite Movies Of 2011

I put this list on here because, hopefully I can put some people onto movies that, they might not of known existed and also so, I can help support smaller movies. Like Take Shelter, Win Win, The Guard, and Attack the Block.

I'm going by What IMDB says for the release dates for movies even though I know most people saw movies like Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil in 2011 rather than in 2010.

These movies are ones I didn't like:

1. Bridesmaids 2. Submarine 3. Beginners 4. The Trip 5. Jane Eyre 6. Everything must go 7. The Mill and the Cross 8. Melancholia 9. Kill List

These are the movies I still need to see and maybe add to the list:

1. Hugo 2. Pariah 3. Sleepless Night 4. The Raid: Redemption 5. Perfect Sense 6.Tomboy 7. Miss Bala 8. Bullhead 9. Michael 10. Footnote 11. Le Havre 12. A Separation 13. Headhunters 14. In Darkness 15. Monsieur Lazhar 16. The Tree of Life 17. The Kid with a Bike 18. Oslo, August 31st

“ This is going to be quite long so I just want to apologize but, I feel I need to speak up on behalf of this amazing movie

If this movie has taught me anything it's, not to trust what critics say all the time. People are hating on this movie because they think the director is trying to manipulate them by using disturbing images from 9/11 which is completely not true (you only see these images briefly two times in the movie and they're not shoved in your face) The movie is about the loss of a parent seen through the eyes of a kid so ya it's going to emotional or am I living in a world now where children shouldn't care if there parents die? The movie shows how 9/11 even effected kids but, just because it's about 9/11 people want to read more into the movie than what's really there.

Pro's

1. I love what this movie is about (The kid and the father had this thing where the father would put together these puzzles for the kid to solve. The kid has Aspergers Syndrome and is scared of a lot of things. So the father thought that these puzzles would help him) 2. I love the dynamic between the boy and the guy who couldn't talk (he almost seems to take over the father role to the kid for awhile) He helps the kid get over a bunch of his fears 3. I love the kid in this both the actor and the character. He's very frank with people and is very curious. 4. I love how the movie wraps up (can't say anything without spoiling it)

Con's

1. Some will find the kid annoying (the character has Aspergers and so the part calls for him to pronounce words a certain way and to by easily upset and scared of things) 2. Some will think this movie is manipulative by using the subject of 9/11 to get easy sad emotions out of people when in fact the images are not shoved in your face and 9/11 is more of a backdrop for the movie.

People are letting their emotions get the best of them and don't get me wrong I still feel for the people who died on 9/11 but, I'm not going to let my emotions blind me to what is really a great movie
