The show stays true, honoring Mr. Whitfield's work and carrying on with a remarkable crew and new Spartacus. Liam McIntyre starts off in season 2. By the end of s.02ep.01 it was clear to me Mr. MaIntyre was obviously different and still brought the same great quality to the role. I've not seen a transition so successful in the face of such tragedy, but both seasons and, hopefully, seasons to come, are sometimes hard to watch, but addictive as well. To me the Horror genre needs to have it's own categories, separating slasher from terror. I don't care for slasher at all and they've become too many. A true master of horror will scare your mind, not just your stomach and AHS does that very well. Season 2: Disturbing, uncomfortable to watch, invokes horror, portrays terror. It says horror in the title and it delivers. Feint of heart warning: Expect the absolute depravity of the human spirit. AHS goes places that are sometimes very hard to follow. Season 3: I rolled my eyes when I heard the subject matter of this season. Having just watched the finale I need to eat a big plate of 'crow.' Been a witch for 30 years+ in real life and I was ready to hate this show. And than Kathy Bates showed up... and than Angela Bassett... I have this theory that exceptional actors/actresses have the ability to pull out exceptional performance from others around them... and Jessica Lange, between these three women and the writing, I was glued to the show every week it was on. I get tired of idiotic films about witches, just a personal peeve, but this was pretty awesome, very educated as far as terminology goes and all kinds of messed up in a good way with the big ol' television cherry on top sundae. Highly recommended. Season Four: Freak Show. Terrifying and touching, gross and beautiful. This troupe of actors/tresses and everyone that works to create this show are just amazing. If you enjoy the horror genre, you should be watching. If you're afraid of clowns already, better not. ” - GothWitch
