From the crafty, well-planned opening involving Wheel of Fortune in "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson" - arguably the show's most memorable joke - to the slow-paced, gripping reunion of Stan and Wendy at the end of "The List," it's simple, plain brilliance.

I did like how they got Malcolm McDowell to guest star. However, my reasons for hating this episode are personal: I was in the middle of watching it one Sunday morning when I got these horrendous stomach pains. Twelve hours later, I was in the Emergency Room having my appendix removed. Now I'm reminded of that agonizing three-hour interval in the waiting room every time I watch this episode.

Votes: 1,606

3rd Least Favorite

This is probably the most disappointing episode in the series. It had SUCH a funny premise, but it screwed up bigtime about halfway through.

Like I said earlier, Stan is my favorite character. I don't like this episode partly because of how everyone treats him just because he won't vote for one of two stupid-as-hell mascots. Aside from that, I know it's not supposed to be all that realistic, but calling the refusal to vote "un-American" is extremely stupid. Voter turnout is extremely low in real life, and I fail to see anything wrong with the decision not to vote.

Oh well; I will admit that I enjoyed watching Puff Daddy and his posse kill off all those PETA lowlifes. Anyone who values animal life over human life DESERVES to be shot, if you ask me (Unless it's for a noble cause, like in Whale Whores).

Not only did this episode jump the shark, but it also went back and shot the same shark with a harpoon.

The "don't shoot a guy in the dick" running gag quickly got old. The subplot (another boring running joke) of Indiana Jones getting raped by Spielberg and Lucas was just downright repulsive. Do Parker and Stone actually think we WANT to see a grown man get raped, even if it's just a cartoon?

In my opinion, this is the worst South Park episode to date. I think it's the worst for the same reason most people think Scott Tenorman Must Die is the best: Because of what happens in the last three minutes of the episode.

I was okay with Stan's team losing. I was okay with Nelson dying. I was even okay with Stan's team developing a dislike for him. What I WASN'T okay with was a group of grown men savagely beating up a group of young boys and then acting proud for their "victory" afterwards.
