It's pretty true to the original legend but puts a fun spin on it by delegating the roles to various animals that seem to match the personalities of their legendary counterparts, Robin being a fox because he's able to outwit everyone. The movie is hilarious and entertaining, especially the many battle scenes. The songs are infectious - there's even a part where the Sheriff is singing a song making a mockery of his ally simply because it's catchy.
