Great. I liked this movie for many things like acting , cast , length , romance even. But there was a few things that made me choose not to give 4 stars. Like screen - play , shaky camra , cutting out charactors from the book , not alot of charactor development , and cutting out alot of story that will afeact the second book/movie , and some stuff just does not make sense . But for some werid reason i still gave it 4 stars. The beginning of the movie was horrible and confusing but the secong half ( The Hunger Games ) was great really. The acting was solid great for new comer Jennifer Lawrence and even though Josh Hutcherson 's acting in Journey 2 : The Mysterious Island was bad he most have gave more of an effort to improve his acting in The Hunger Games he did and made his charactor more juicey sorta speaking. The cast was also good. However the only charactor in the movie they could have better cast was Cinna to me. I liked the casting of Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman as he made the charactor more funny and likable. The length of the movie was pretty good too. For some reason it didn't feel like it was 2 and a half hours it felt like an hour thats it an hour pretty cool right ? The romance was ok. It was not as good as it could have been but good enough to convince non book readers that they were in love. The bad stuff hum. Who was the camra man i want to kill him right now !!!!!!!! He was part of the reason i eliminated one star from the movie. The camra was shaking threw out the whole movie my gosh i've only seen that happen one other time in the movie Auther which was the 2011 movie based on the movie with the same name !!! The screen - play was also well wasted screen time by giving Wes Bentley's charactor alot of unneeded screen time seriously focus on the main charactorsgod is that to much to ask !!! Also this movie got rid of alot of charactors from the book and i mean ALOT !!! Like Marge, the baker, Greasy Sae, the peace keepers , Octavia, Venia, and Flavius , Avox girl (Lavinia) , and acouple more. Not cool . Also all you really know about most of the charactors is their names nothing else at all !!! You don't get to know most if not all ofthe charactors. The last and probably most important reason i didn't give this movie 5 stars is that they cutt out most of the book meaning they didn't show alot of stuff that was important to the books. Like in the book Rue told Katniss about her district 11. But in the movie she didn't at all. In the movie some stuff just didn't make sense like how come cato killed thresh far away from the cornacopia but all of a sudden he's on top of the cornacopia it does not make sense and how come Rue and Katniss seem to have had been friends for only a minute then snap she's dead killed by Marval wow. However as i said befor ethe second half of the movie was great so i gave it 4 stars well done Lions gate well done. Highly Recommended to people 14 - 29 years old. 3 stars
