1. Fight Club (1999)
R | 139 min | Drama
An insomniac office worker, looking for a way to change his life, crosses paths with a devil-may-care soapmaker, forming an underground fight club that evolves into something much, much more.
Votes: 1,544,205 | Gross: $37.03M
David Fincher is freaking genius for this incredibly dark-yet-phenomenal film. When I first saw this film, I just had to sit back and ponder it, I watched it over and over and over, and each time I watched it, I fell more in love with this film.
2. The Social Network (2010)
PG-13 | 120 min | Biography, Drama
Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, but is later sued by two brothers who claimed he stole their idea, and the co-founder who was later squeezed out of the business.
Votes: 536,350 | Gross: $96.96M
Another David Fincher film that stuns its audience with the story of the rocky beginnings of the most well know social networking site "Facebook" and the man behind it, Mark Zuckerburg(Played by a shockingly appropriate and fitting Jesse Eisenberg). Writer Aaron Sorkin and Fincher teamed up and really produced a solid and memorable film that defines American culture. Well done...
3. Se7en (1995)
R | 127 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his motives.
Votes: 1,175,908 | Gross: $100.13M
David Fincher yet again gives an audience a scary and visual masterpiece that redefines Crime and Mystery as a genre in and of itself entirely with "Se7en". This film is a twisted and surreal approach to the whole "to-catch-a-killer" type of movie. Not only does it feel original and genuine, it creeps the hell out of the audience, and with an ending that leaves its audience gasping for air, this one cannot be missed.
4. Reservoir Dogs (1992)
R | 99 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller
After a simple jewelry heist goes terribly wrong, the surviving criminals begin to suspect that one of them is a police informant.
Votes: 761,391 | Gross: $2.83M
When most people hear the name "Quentin Tarantino", they automatically think "Kill Bill", "Inglorious Bastards", or "Pulp Fiction"; But most don't think or let alone remember "Reservoir Dogs"... This being Tarantino's first feature film, it is not very well-known, but damn is it good. When people first saw this film, they immediately became aware that Tarantino wasn't going to be disappearing anytime soon. It's simple, yet, aggressive as it tells the story of a bank heist that goes terribly wrong and the six strangers are left to wonder "What the hell happened...?" Defiantly check this out...
5. Pulp Fiction (1994)
R | 154 min | Crime, Drama
The lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.
Votes: 1,506,617 | Gross: $107.93M
After Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino gave us "Pulp Fiction". This film's impact on American film and American Culture was like a sucker-punch to the esophagus and side-swiped movie goers everywhere. This film is a beautiful ensemble of love, betrayal, drugs, and violence, throw in a dynamite cast, a rock and roll soundtrack, mix in a little grit and sin. And you have this... This film put Tarantino on the map and forever stuck in the minds of film makers, critics and audiences alike. Don't mess with this film... But defiantly watch it.
6. Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003)
R | 111 min | Action, Crime, Thriller
The Bride wakens from a four-year coma. The child she carried in her womb is gone. Now she must wreak vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her - a team she was once part of.
Votes: 836,093 | Gross: $70.10M
Quentin Tarantino's take on famous cult "Karate" films. Might I say, "Kill Bill" is fantastic. Quentin Tarantino is obsessed with the culture of kung-fu and karate films and when he mixes cut throat dialogue, fierce action, beautiful cinematography, great directing, and a pinch of Asian culture makes for an excellent and exciting film. Actress Uma Thurman delivers as a violent and sexy heroin that has one mission... To Kill Bill... And anything that gets in her way will pay the price...
7. Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004)
R | 137 min | Action, Crime, Thriller
The Bride continues her quest of vengeance against her former boss and lover Bill, the reclusive bouncer Budd and the treacherous, one-eyed Elle.
Votes: 571,242 | Gross: $66.21M
In "Kill Bill: Vol. 2", the main character "The Bride" (As played by Uma Thurman) continues her journey to eliminate the remaining foes that betrayed her in the first film (Kill Bill: Vol. 1). I very much enjoyed this follow up to the first film; it is fun, violent and outrageously entertaining. Only complaint about this film is that QT drug this one out... By that I mean it is very "talky" than "action-packed", I appreciate that he does this because it gives us his audience a deeper look into the characters and meaning of "revenge"... At parts, the film seems to drag, but at the end of it all... It will be worth the time invested.
8. Inglourious Basterds (2009)
R | 153 min | Adventure, Drama, War
In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a plan to assassinate Nazi leaders by a group of Jewish U.S. soldiers coincides with a theatre owner's vengeful plans for the same.
Votes: 1,027,376 | Gross: $120.54M
Tarantino's most recent film "Inglorious Basterds" is his spin on a fantasy induced-World War II epic. This film is about 9 Jewish-American soldiers on a violent mission to put fear in the hearts and minds of the Nazi's and Hitler himself. Through relentless scalping, beatings, and the carving of swastikas into their enemies foreheads, the Basterds show no mercy and ask for none in return. They are lead by the ever witty-yet-intimidating character Aldo Raine, (who is played by the never disappointing Brad Pitt). Inglourious Basterds is considerably "Tarantino's comeback" and even some would say his masterpiece, but no-matter what it is, it is one thing... badass. It achieves cinematic gold because Tarantino takes the overused subject of World War II and puts his own spin on it, and creates something that stands out from all the other numerous films based on the war. I love this film and believe so will you.
9. Drive (I) (2011)
R | 100 min | Crime, Drama
A mysterious Hollywood stuntman and mechanic moonlights as a getaway driver and finds himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbor.
Votes: 488,797 | Gross: $35.06M
Nicholas Wending Refn is essentially, a no-name film maker. However, with his film "Drive", he proves his talent isn't going to waste. Refn creates a character study that examines the motives of what drives us to do things we aren't so proud of. The main character is a nameless, loner who (by day) is a stunt driver for Hollywood films and (by night) moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals. What makes this film different and awesome is the way Refn tells this story through visuals and brilliant use of cinematography that resembles a neo-noir film style, and the way he begins the film in a calm-yet-mysterious manner and without warning flips the switch from "Slow and Calm" to *beep* crazy". However, this film is not for everyone... Many people were drawn to this film believing it was going to a be fast-pace action like "Fast 5", yet in reality...It's not an action film at all really. But don't get me wrong, this film is awesome the way it is and a little change in genre is nice every once in awhile. Overall, this is an exciting and super cool film that should be seen by people who appreciate something new and original, of course not everyone will see it that way... You will either love it...or hate it... But in my opinion, best film of 2011.
10. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
PG-13 | 166 min | Drama, Fantasy, Romance
Tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences.
Votes: 508,750 | Gross: $127.51M

As he grows up, he struggles with many identity crisis but along the way he meets Daisy... This film becomes a beautiful and heartbreaking love story between Benjamin Button and Daisy... I loved this film, it is brilliant and memorable... This film keeps you attached from the beginning and even way after it ends...

Votes: 1,899,486 | Gross: $534.86M
At first glance, this film appears to resemble the looks of your average superhero movie that you and your friends go to see to get your fix of action...But don't judge a book by its cover... This film is so much more than just an average superhero flick. Christopher Nolan shows audiences the complex examination of Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, the Batman as he tries so desperately to choose whether to protect the love of his life or his city from the manic villan, Joker... This film has everything you could want in a movie, it has incredibly action, deep and inspiring drama and love... Awesome film overall. WATCH IT!

Votes: 1,686,950 | Gross: $292.58M
Christopher Nolan creates the world known as "Inception" entirely from the ground-up. The imagination of Nolan exceeds many modern film makers now-a-days... Nolan takes a concept we all experience and transforms it into a mind bending thrill ride that all takes place in our dreams... First time viewing, this film is very confusing due to its extravagant plot structure and near ludicrous idea... But each time this film is watched, it adds to the experience and proves to be a wonderful and thought-provoking film that interests our curiosity and sparks our imagination. Nolan is excellent with his precise directing and elaborate writing and story structure. The acting is spectacular. Of all of Nolan's films... Including The Dark Knight Rises... This is my favorite of them all...
