At age 10, Fanny Price is sent by her destitute mother to live with her aunt and uncle, Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram... (120 mins.)
“ I've never read the book before. But I've heard that Fanny Price is a timid and meek character. So I guess for that, this adaptation is faithful. But it also made it boring! Because the Fanny Price here, wasn't just mousy, she didn't appear very smart either. Which made her an even less interesting character. Then of course everything else didn't stand out either. Maria wasn't so flirtatious, neither were the Crawford much. I didn't find the guy who was playing Sir Thomas very effective. He wasn't quite the patriach. And they didn't quite exhibit the tension between Tom and Sir Thomas. Even the whole theater thing didn't carry too much weight for the story. Basically this was a boring bland adaptation. ” - llDarcyll
