80 Best Dramatic Movies of the Modern Era

My favorite drama/thrillers from the late 60s and on. I've tried to place them in some kind of order although my top 5 is based more on Cinematic Classic status than on my own preference although every one of them is a fantastic movie. If you are wondering why there is no Mystic River or Million Dollar Baby in here its because I have yet to enjoy a Clint Eastwood directed scmaltzfest. No apologies I just hate 'em. (OK, I recently added Bloodwork to the list, but I promise it is almost scmaltz-free.) Hope you enjoy browsing this list and if you know and like any of them, check out some of the ones you don't and I promise you won't be disappointed.
