“ This movie has set the current standard for superhero movies. Its a perfect mix of being lighthearted yet dark, funny yet serious, and proves story is more important than cheap thrils or tons of special effects. It definently has great action but also a great story, great acitng, great directing, and one of the best casts ever, and gives us a main hero that we dont hate but yet dont necessarily love either in a traditional way. Its second to none in giving us a deep and interesting origin story of a character and allows us to really get to know the man behind the costume.Tony Stark is a complex character who doesnt start off a "good guy" and is full of flaws. Only after a near death experience does he come to realize what he's doing is wrong and must redeem himself. He isnt a product of an experiment gone awry or radiation, and has no "super powers". Hes a self made superhero who after escaping had no obligation of continuing to be iron man but made that sacrifice knowing he could better serve the world and making right his wrongs of war profiteering. This is a what a superhero movie should be. I remember watching it in the theater and i didnt want the movie to end, at no point does the movie get boring. Its flat out awesome! A great superhero/sci-fi film but also a great film, period. And lets not forget how freaking sweet Iron Mans suit is! ” - Thaddeus Daruszka
