I can't see what's wrong with this sequel. Writers Martin Kitrosser, Danny Steinmann, (director), and David Cohen, took "F13 Part V" into a new way forward, (after Jason Voorhees ((Ted White)) was killed by Tommy Jarvis, (Corey Feldman), in the finale of Part IV. Or did he?....
Tommy Jarvis, (Feldman), is having a nightmare. Two losers, enter the cemetery where Jason is buried. A storm is brewing, then Jason murders the kids, puts his famous Hockey Mask on, and stalks Tommy again...Or did he?...END OF PROLOGUE....
Tommy, (John Shepard), is now 17. He is now part of a Camp for Troubled Teens, led by Matthew Letter, (Richard Young), the Head Camp Counsellor; and Pam Roberts, (Melanie Kinnaman), the Assistant Camp Counsellor. A black caretaker named George, (Vernon Washington), oversees the kids, while looking after his Grandson Reggie, (Shavar "Diff'rent Strokes" Ross), who likes to play with ghoulish things; Tommy is scared by Reggie's fake spider. But, soon, he comes around....eventually, as his older roommate.
Joey, (Dominick Brascia), a overweight teen, is like a long list of dorks at Camp Crystal Lake. He is unpopular. He raises the ire of the girls: Robin, (Juliette Cummins); Violet, (Tiffany Helm),-who looks like a cross between Madonna and Cyndi Lauper. But Duke, (Caskey Swaim), is into the girls. One day, without any warning, Victor J. Faden, (the late Mark Venturini), murders him with an axe...After the shocking murder, Sheriff Cal Tucker, (Marco St. John), arrives and, as he is taken away, (with Joey's bloodied body), as everyone breaks down and cries, he tells Matthew and Pamela off for all the issues the Camp has brought on them---mainly bad....
The next day, at breakfast, Tommy is picked on because of his dealing with Jason Voorhees. When he tries to kill one of the teens for bullying, Matthew steps in and calms him down. He tells everyone off, as the good intentions of helping troubled youth goes down the toilet.
One of the paramedics, (the father of the murdered Joey), Roy, (Dick Wieand), reads about Jason Voorhees and the murders at Camp Blood. Consumed with grief, then rage, he pretends to be Jason, and gets his revenge for his son's death.
Near the camp, Ethel Hubbard, (Carol Locatell), serves her none too smart son, Junior Hubbard, (Ron Sloan). When "Jason" kills them, he heads into town, where he murders a Nurse called Lana, (Rebecca Wood), (as Rebecca Wood-Sharkey), and her date, Les, (Curtis Conaway)....After the murders in town, Roy, (the killer), heads back to Camp, where he murders Pete, (Corey Parker), and his friend Vinnie, (Anthony Barrile)....While Neil, (Todd Bryant)-who stutters, try to make a move on Violet. But, when she fobs him off, he sulks away. Reggie then meets his older brother, Demon, (Miguel A. Núñez Jr.), (as Miguel Nunez, Jr.), and his girlfriend, Anita, (Jere Fields), (as Jeré Fields). In a funny scene, Demon eats too much beans!, and goes to the outside restroom. When Jason rocks the restroom, Demon tells Anita off...Then Roy as "Jason" kills Demon; Anita says, quote, "Hey baby! Hey, baby!", unquote, but, she is killed too.
At Camp, Tina, (Debi Sue Voorhees), (as DebiSue Voorhees), and Raymond, (Sonny Shields), are killed too. And, as Matthew, Pamela, and Reggie, (whose Grandfather also dies), sees dead bodies in the camp, they think that Tommy is the killer. Tommy flees. Matthew is killed in the woods, leaving Pamela and Reggie alone...Tommy rescues them, as Roy is in the cabin. After a huge battle, Roy is killed in a scary finale.
In Hospital, Tommy is taken away, as Deputy Dodd, (Richard Lineback); Second Deputy, (Eddie Matthews), (as Ed Shinstine); and Third Deputy, (Chuck Wells), clean the mess up....Tommy, (who sees Jason all the time), imagines Pamela entering the Hospital, and he kills her, (but it is a dream). Pamela heads past a Nurse Yates/Receptionist, (Suzanne Bateman), and sees Tommy in his room. When she leaves, he places the Hockey Mask of Jason Voorhees on, and smashes his Hospital room, and escapes.
With Ric Mancini, (as Mayor Cobb), who lays down the law to everyone, by saying Jason Voorhees is dead. Or is he?
